Todd Bodine, 46, has been a mainstay in NASCAR for decades.

The son of track operators and the brother of racers Geoffrey and Brett, it was only natural that he would make his way into the elite ranks of the sport – and emerge as a championship contender once there.

Through the years, Bodine has raced in all three major touring series and challenged for titles in two of them. He has racked up wins and top finishes – and a pair of championships – along the way.

As he celebrates his 2010 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series title, here’s a look at 10 of Bodine’s top career accomplishments:
 

Bodine is a two-time Truck series champ. He earned his first NASCAR championship in 2006 when he took the Truck title by 127 points over Johnny Benson. Bodine earned three wins that season and posted 16 top-10 finishes, 12 of them top fives, in his 25 starts. He posted an average start of 11.9 and an average finish of 8.4 for the year and netted $604,310 in winnings. In 2010, he was on a tear again, once more eliminating the close races that have marked the series over the years. He locked up the title with one race to go. Bodine earned four wins. He posted 20 top-10 finishes, 17 top-fives and improved his performances from his previous title run. Bodine earned an average starting position of 9.2 – and an average finish of 6.4.

Bodine has been on top of his game in the Truck series in recent years. He has finished in the top five in the series standings for six consecutive seasons – and shows no signs of slowing down. Bodine was third in 2005, won the title in 2006 and then finished fourth in 2007, third in 2008, fourth in 2009 and first again in 2010. During that impressive stretch, Bodine has earned 19 wins and has 96 top-10 finishes, 77 of them top fives, in 150 starts.

Bodine has shown the ability to wheel both a Nationwide Series car and a Truck entry to Victory Lane on a consistent basis. His most prolific season came in 2005, when he won five Truck series races. Overall, he has 21 Truck and 15 Nationwide series wins to his credit.
 

Bodine certainly knows how to get to the front of the field, and stay there. He has tallied 4,728 laps at the front of the field – an even more impressive feat considering that he has run mostly the Nationwide and Truck schedules in recent years, events that are shorter than those in Cup. He clearly knows how to pace the pack.
 

Bodine has worked hard in several series for years. He ran full time in Cup in 1994 and has run full and limited schedules off and on since that time. He ran his first full Nationwide season in 1991 and has made full and limited runs there in the years since. He began racing full time in the Truck series in 2005 and continues in that role today. Overall, in the three major series, Bodine has netted more than $21.6 million in winnings.

It’s not just the Truck series, though, that has been a successful endeavor for Bodine. Prior to racing full time there, he was a championship contender in the Nationwide Series ranks. Overall, Bodine has seven career top-10 season finishes in the series. Five of those were top-five seasons, with the top effort coming in 1997. when he finished second to Randy LaJoie. Bodine tallied one win that season and earned 22 top-10 finishes, nine of them top fives.

Bodine's career resume includes a series of races in top series. Not only has he competed in each of NASCAR’s major touring series, he also has taken a turn in the ARCA, Whelen Modified and K&N Pro Series East. Overall, he has 727 starts in the top trio of NASCAR series, with four more in the others. He has logged more than 141,822 miles in NASCAR’s top three series.
 

Bodine has been a consistent performer in his years in the Truck series, particularly in his past six seasons. Overall, Bodine has 21 wins in 165 starts there. He has 106 top-10 finishes, an average of finishing in that group 64 percent of the time, and has 82 top-five Truck finishes to his credit.
 

Bodine came by racing naturally. What else could he do but end up driving? His parents owned Chemung (N.Y.) Speedway near Elmira, and Bodine grew up there. He joined the crew of his brother, Brett (pictured, left), at the age of 13 and went to watch him win Street Stock races. Geoffrey Bodine (right) was already competing on Modifieds at that point. Todd himself stepped behind the wheel at the age of 19 and has been racing ever since. He has racked up his own successes in a variety of series and is now the lone Bodine competing in NASCAR. He is carrying on the family name with his second Truck title this season.
 

Bodine has long participated in a variety of charity endeavors. He’s actively involved in his brother Geoffrey’s annual bobsledding fundraiser that builds bobsleds for the U.S. Olympic teams, as well as a variety of other projects.
