Quote Log

Lasoski on last week's races and heading into this weekend's races in Alabama:
"Steve (Kinser) and I raced each other hard last week. He won both races, and he earned them. That's why they call him the 'King'. I think we put on a good show for the fans, but a lot of the credit for that goes to Bobby Jackson (World of Outlaws Director of Competition). He worked really hard over the weekend to give us everything we needed, and the track was in really good shape.

"Steve won, but we were right there each night. He didn't gain much (in points), but there wasn't much of a gap between us to begin with.

"We've got another show with the Winston Cup guys this Saturday at Talladega. It'll be a busy weekend, with having to practice and run the IROC car at Talladega while doing our job with the Outlaw car at East Alabama on Friday and the Talladega Short Track on Saturday. But that's the way I like it. All that running keeps me sharp. My buddy and car owner - Tony Stewart - will be around again this weekend, coaching me with the IROC car and lending a hand over at the Short Track. We aim to make him proud."

Team Owner Tony Stewart on maintaining the team's front-running consistency throughout the rest of the season:
"You've got to be ready. Preparation is the biggest key to everything. Your motor program has got to be up to par and be ready to go and Danny's got to have the confidence in what's under him. When you get into that part of the season where you're running three and four nights a week, as a driver, as a crew chief and as a race team, you have to feel like you're on top of your game. You have to feel like when you go to the track you're the one everyone else has to beat. I think if we keep running like we are right now, even when the summer and those hot days come and the track starts drying out a lot, that's where we're going to be."
