CONTENT: NASCAR , Ryan Newman

CHRIS CUOMO (ABC NEWS)

(Off-camera) Absolutely, absolutely. How about a little "Picture of the Morning?"

ROBIN ROBERTS (ABC NEWS)

(Off-camera) Okay.

CHRIS CUOMO (ABC NEWS)

(Off-camera) Take a look at this. Unbelievable.

CLIP FROM ESPN

CHRIS CUOMO (ABC NEWS)

(Voiceover) Don't worry, nobody's hurt. But that's what makes it so special. NASCAR race, Talladega in Alabama, this is Ryan Newman's car. Look at it, just sliding around there like a - just horrific. Just five laps to go in the race.

ROBIN ROBERTS (ABC NEWS)

(Voiceover) But watch this, watch again.

CHRIS CUOMO (ABC NEWS)

(Voiceover) Watch again.

CHRIS CUOMO (ABC NEWS)

(Voiceover) Airborne.

ROBIN ROBERTS (ABC NEWS)

(Voiceover) (Makes noise).

CHRIS CUOMO (ABC NEWS)

(Voiceover) Airborne. Turns over, hits another moving car, slides against the wall. Why do we show it to you? Because racing is not about crashing. It's about survival. Ryan Newman walked away.

ROBIN ROBERTS (ABC NEWS)

(Voiceover) Mm-hmm.

CHRIS CUOMO (ABC NEWS)

(Voiceover) Another testament to what they've done in this sport, better than any other sport, I would say, in terms of protecting from the dangers involved. Look at him.

ROBIN ROBERTS (ABC NEWS)

(Voiceover) It took them a while to get him out, because he's, again, we've talked about this before, that protective cage within the car, and Newman is able to walk away. Unbelievable. Love to see that.

CHRIS CUOMO (ABC NEWS)

(Voiceover) The cage around the car, the harness around the neck.

ROBIN ROBERTS (ABC NEWS)

(Voiceover) Yeah, all of that.

CHRIS CUOMO (ABC NEWS)

(Voiceover) They've thought about everything in NASCAR .

ROBIN ROBERTS (ABC NEWS)

(Voiceover) Technology, technology.

CHRIS CUOMO (ABC NEWS)

(Voiceover) Just amazing.

ROBIN ROBERTS (ABC NEWS)

(Off-camera) Well, coming up, a radio station contest that turned deadly.

ROBIN ROBERTS (ABC NEWS)

(Voiceover) A woman dies after drinking too much water. Her family has now been awarded millions of dollars. Her husband will join us live this morning.

CHRIS CUOMO (ABC NEWS)

(Voiceover) And a little caught on tape. A skydiver brought down to Earth, after collecting insurance money for a bad back. Insurance fraud is up. Guess who's paying the price? You are. We'll tell you the story when we come back.
