The driver change was done as a precaution according to Childress and Burton is expected to be fine for Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race.

Mears, who currently drives the No. 07 Jack Daniels Chevrolet for RCR, will qualify and race the No. 29 Holiday Inn Chevrolet in the O'Reilly Challenge on Saturday.
