Mopar's Cory Kruseman and Jay Drake will begin their quest for the USAC National Sprint Car Series championship this weekend, as the Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises team tackles Eldora Speedway and Anderson Speedway.

"We're excited about getting back to work, and I'm excited about working with my crew chief, Bobby Barth, again this season," Kruseman said.

The No. 20 and No. 21 TSRE teams will take to the Eldora high-banks Saturday in the Don Branson/Jud Larson Classic. This longstanding and prestigious USAC event will give the teams an opportunity to showcase their dirt prowess and earn Eldora bragging rights early in the USAC season. Kruseman is looking forward to getting back into the groove of things.

"We're looking for more main event wins this season, and with the Mopar engines and great teamwork," Kruseman continued. "We'll be in contention to win the USAC championship this season."

Anderson Speedway will host the Glen Niebel Classic on Sunday, April 4, to kick off the USAC National Sprint Car pavement season. Dave Steele will join Kruseman, Drake, and the Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises stable in the 50-lap pavement event. Steele, who has enjoyed several wins at Anderson, will pilot the No. 20 entry for TSRE.

The events will mark the return of open wheel racing to the Midwest and serve as the official kickoff to the 2004 racing season. For updated results and team information, log on to www.moparspeed.com.
