Quote Log — Team Manager Tony Ross

On the tornado that hit the team's Higginsville, Mo.-based shop last Sunday:
"The most important thing is nobody was hurt and we are very thankful of that. The tornado blew off part of the roof and blew every door off the shop. We are looking at four to six weeks before the structural damage can be repaired. We don't know the full extent of the damage just yet, but we know there is damage to some cars, top wings, and trophies and there is a gouge in the hauler. It also blew a tree into the main part of the shop. We are really fortunate because it could have been so much worse. Everything that was damaged can be replaced.

"Danny, Chris, Hope and Landon were all in the house just a few hundred yards away, and luckily, they were not hurt. None of the guys were at the shop when the tornado hit. I hate to think of what would have happened if anybody had been there when it hit. Most of the damage was on the side where we keep the race cars. It is a very unfortunate deal, but we can buy more race cars and we are lucky it wasn't worse."

Danny Lasoski At A Glance

Lasoski in his fourth year with Tony Stewart Motorsports. He won the World of Outlaws championship in 2001, and finished second to 18-time champion Steve Kinser in 2002.

Lasoski is in his third year of IROC competition. He and Kinser represent the World of Outlaws.

Lasoski won his first IROC race at Texas Motor Speedway on April 2, 2004, becoming only the second World of Outlaws driver to win an IROC race since Kinser won at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in April of 1994.

Lasoski is a three-time Knoxville Nationals champion (2003, 2001 and 1998).

Lasoski is a seven-time track champion at Knoxville Raceway (1996, 1994, 1993, 1992, 1990, 1989 and 1986), and he is also the winningest driver in Knoxville track history with a total of 82 victories.

Lasoski was recognized as the Most Improved Driver following the 1998 World of Outlaws season.

Before joining the World of Outlaws full-time in 1998, Lasoski won three championships at the Jayhawk Nationals.
