Great Clips Daytona Qualifying Report

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Kasey Kahne, driver of the No. 38 Great Clips Dodge, qualified 18th for Saturday's Hershey's Take 5 300 NASCAR Busch Series race at Daytona International Speedway. Kahne completed a lap around the 2.5-mile superspeedway in 49.841 seconds for an average speed of 180.574 miles per hour.
"That felt like a pretty good lap" said Kahne. "It was windy out there on the backstretch so it would have been nice to have had a different gear." "We were pretty good in race trim yesterday and this Great Clips Dodge should be running up front tomorrow."
Joe Nemechek won the pole position for Saturday's race with a lap time of 49.328 seconds at 182.452 miles per hour. Kyle Busch, Paul Wolfe, Paul Menard and Reed Sorenson complete the top five.
Saturday's Hershey's Take 5 300 will get the green flag at 1 p.m. EST. FOX has live television coverage and MRN provides live radio coverage.
