Airing on SPEED Monday through Thursday at 7 p.m. ET/PT during the season, NASCAR Nation picks up where Totally NASCAR left off, replacing the FSN show after a four-year run (SPEED / Special to FOXSports.com)

Monday through Thursday at 7 p.m. ET/PT, NASCAR Nation is the signature show for SPEED Channel's NASCAR TV block of programming and concentrates heavily on features and all-access content.

Joe Gibbs Racing has been the subject of quite a bit of speculation recently. The FedEx-backed No. 11 and driver Jason Leffler haven't performed the way they expected, and the pressure has been mounting.

Today, a source close to Joe Gibbs Racing told me that Mike Ford will be named the new crew chief for the No. 11 and that he will be sitting on top of the pit box when the team races this coming weekend in Pocono.'

I also spoke to team president J.D. Gibbs who told me the team wasn't ready to officially announce anything but did say they were talking to Ford. Leffler's current crew chief Dave Rogers will stay with the team but in a different capacity.

Once again, we're hearing from inside Joe Gibbs Racing that Mike Ford will be named as the new crew chief for Jason Leffler on the FedEx No. 11 before the week is out so stay with us on NASCAR Nation, and hopefully we'll be able to give you the official "Yeah, it's for sure" before the week is out.

Tuesday on NASCAR Nation, 7 p.m. ET/PT

  • We'll go fishing with Busch Series owner Terry Bradshaw, David Stremme and Tim Fedewa.
  • The Motor Racing Network "Big Story" continues as anchor Barney Hall joins us in the studio.
  • And Mikey's mic'd up again, this time, he's hanging out with the American Idols.
