MILLINGTON, Tenn. - David Reutimann edged out Johnny Benson to win a 10-lap All-Star race featuring six NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series drivers and Speed Channel talent Ray Dunlap at the Memphis Motorsports Park dirt oval Friday night.
"I was able to hold off Johnny Benson," said Reutimann. "When we started the race Bobby Hamilton just took off. The car worked really well and I was able to get by him and hold the rest of the field off. We had a lot of fun. I'm thankful to the owners and drivers for giving up their cars for us to race.

After a little fun in the dirt, Reutimann's serious about topping last season's 17th-place finish in his No. 17 NTN Bearings Toyota Tundra at the .75-mile short-track oval.
"I really enjoy racing at Memphis and after last night I love it even more," said Reutimann, who scored his first-ever NASCAR Busch Series Bud Pole Award at Memphis. "We ran really good here last year. We raced our way up near the top-10 after qualifying in the back. Then, we pitted and had a problem with a lug nut on the left rear. We were issued a penalty. We had to come back down pit road to get it fixed. We forced our way back through the field and then we got together with another truck. We ended up with 17th when we should've come away with a top-10 finish."
Pleased with back-to-back third-place finishes at Kansas and Kentucky Speedway, Reutimann's one step closer to becoming a first-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series winner.
"We're running really well and communication with the team is better than ever," said Reutimann. "We've finished third in the most recent two events. We're on the right track for our first win, which we want bad."
