Danny "The Dude" Lasoski and the No. 20 Tony Stewart Motorsports team capitalized on their Knoxville Nationals momentum and regained the fifth position in the World of Outlaws Sprint Series standings last week. Lasoski kicked off the effort with a fourth-place run at the Red River Valley Speedway in North Dakota on August 16. "The Dude" followed the run up with two Top-five finishes at the Billings Motorsports Park in Montana over August 19-20. After winning the second dash event in preliminary action on August 19, Lasoski drove to a fourth-place finish to lock himself into the dash event for the August 20 finale. The No. 20 team picked up a fifth-place finish to cap off the weekend.

Sammy Swindell and the No. 5 Forbrook Motorsports team also competed in the Red River Valley Speedway event, ending the night with a 19th-place finish. Brandon Wimmer and the No. 7TW team also continued to gain seat time, finishing 18th at Red River Valley Speedway and earning a 13th and 17th-place finish in the Billings Motorsports Park preliminary and event finale A-main races.

Lasoski and the World of Outlaws Sprint Series competitors will have a few days of rest before resuming their chase for the championship on August 26-27 at the Grays Harbor Speedway in Washington.
