Paul McMahan and the No. 20 Tony Stewart Motorsports team found their mojo last week, as McMahan combined for three Top-five finishes and one Top-10 finish in four events. The No. 20 team kicked off their week on August 29 at Cottage Grove Speedway in National Sprint Tour Series action, as McMahan drove to fourth-place in the A-main. The team moved to Southern Oregon Speedway on August 30 for World of Outlaws Sprint Series competition. McMahan won the dash event en route to a fourth-place finish in the A-main. The No. 20 team wrapped up the weekend with a two-day event at Calistoga Speedway on September 2-3, where McMahan earned a second-place finish on Friday and sixth on Saturday.

Joey Saldana and the No. 9 Kasey Kahne Racing team also continued to move forward in World of Outlaws Sprint Series competition, as the team kicked off their week at the Southern Oregon Speedway on August 30. Saldana ended the night with a 16th-place finish in the A-main. Moving on to Calistoga Speedway on Friday and Saturday, Saldana and company earned Fast Qualifier honors on Friday en route to fourth in the A-main event. Saldana and the No. 9 team capped the weekend with a fourth-place finish on Saturday.

McMahan and the National Sprint Tour Series will resume action on September 5 at Kings Speedway in Hanford, California. McMahan is currently ranked sixth in the series point standings. Saldana and the World of Outlaws Sprint Series will resume action on September 7-9 at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California. Saldana is second in the championship chase.
