NASCAR on FOX WEEK 4: NEXTEL CUP BURNS RUBBER IN ATLANTA: This Sunday, March 18 (1:30 PM ET) Kasey Kahne looks to make it two straight Nextel Cup victories at Atlanta Motor Speedway. After capturing a pole win last weekend in Las Vegas, Kahne will use that momentum to try and chip away at the standings which presently rank him at 36th overall. Current points leader and the driver that finished second to Kahne in Atlanta a year ago, Mark Martin attempts to notch his first win of the season. FOX Sports Emmy Award-winning coverage begins at 1:30 PM ET from inside the "Hollywood Hotel," NASCAR on FOX's traveling prerace studio, hosted by Chris Myers, along with analysts Jeff Hammond and Darrell Waltrip. Shortly after, the green flag drops with Waltrip, race announcer Mike Joy, and analyst Larry McReynolds calling the action.
FOXSPORTS.COM TOPS ESPN.COM: FOXSports.com topped Nielsen NetRatings' monthly Web traffic rankings for the first time ever, topping second-place ESPN.com by more than two million users in February. According to NetRatings, FOXSports.com attracted more than 15 million unique users during a month highlighted by the launch of FOX Fantasy Baseball, the first-ever online streaming of the Daytona 500 and a wealth of original video content from Super Bowl XLI in Miami.
WALTRIP: MARTIN WILL STICK TO LIMITED SCHEDULE: Despite Mark Martin's outstanding start this season, NASCAR on FOX analyst Darrell Waltrip believes the 48 year-old driver will stick to his original plan of a limited racing schedule. "If he comes out of Atlanta with a sizable point lead, I'm not saying that he wouldn't feel a lot of pressure from other people to run all of the races, but I just don't believe that's what he wants to do. And I don't think that's what he's going to do," added Waltrip, "Mark wasn't just hired to be the No. 1 guy at Ginn Racing. He was also hired as a mentor. We've already seen the results of Mark's influence...look at Sterling Marlin in the No. 14 car at Las Vegas. He was going to finish in the top five and might have even won the race if he hadn't had an engine problem. Mark has had a huge influence on that company."

HAMMOND: OFFICIAL MADE RIGHT MOVES: NASCAR on FOX prerace analyst and former crew chief Jeff Hammond contemplated whether Jimmie Johnson should have been penalized on the last pit stop in Vegas when a NASCAR official stopped a tire rolling out of his pit. "A NASCAR official is there to referee and give assistance in the spirit of safety," said Hammond. "What I believed and perceived at the time was the official saw the crew member trip and inadvertently release the tire while making an effort to carry the tire over pit wall. The officials are there to promote safety as much as anything else. If they can intervene and prevent something from happening, they won't worry about penalties or any other kinds of ramifications after the fact."
