  • NASCAR ON FOX — WEEK 7: SHORT-TRACK FEVER CONTINUES IN MARTINSVILLE: NASCAR on FOX gears up for more short-track action on Saturday, March 31 for Craftsman Truck Series race (3:00 PM ET) and Nextel Cup showdown on Sunday, April 1 (1:30 PM ET) live from Martinsville, Virginia. Saturday's coverage gets underway at 3:00 PM ET from FOX's renowned "Hollywood Hotel" traveling studio. From there, coverage shifts to the broadcast booth where SPEED's NCTS race announcer Rick Allen and analyst Phil Parsons handle race coverage alongside NASCAR on FOX's Darrell Waltrip. Since trading in his racing helmet for a broadcaster's headset following the 2000 Cup season, Waltrip has competed in several NCTS events from Martinsville, and will provide a fresh perspective on Saturday's event.

Sunday Nextel Cup action beings at 1:00 PM ET when current points leader, Jeff Gordon, looks to add to his seven career wins at Martinsville, the most among active drivers, although still four victories shy of FOX's Waltrip (11). FOX Sports Emmy Award-winning coverage begins from inside the "Hollywood Hotel," NASCAR on FOX's traveling prerace studio, hosted by Chris Myers, featuring analyst Jeff Hammond and Waltrip. Once the green flag drops, DW joins race announcer Mike Joy, and analyst Larry McReynolds in the broadcast booth.

HAMMOND: MORE CONFIDENCE IN COT COULD MEAN MORE DAMAGE IN MARTINSVILLE: With the Car of Tomorrow's first race in the books, FOX Sports race analyst Jeff Hammond was more amazed by what he didn't see in Bristol than what he did. Hammond anticipated, "front noses and splitters lying on the racetrack" at Bristol Motor Speedway and suggests in the Car of Tomorrow's second outing this weekend that the viewers "could see a lot more cars with damage and a lot more guys being turned around. Drivers will think about what they should have done at Bristol. But they should have a lot more confidence this week."
