After a week off to rest, recuperate and bask in the glory and agony that is the NCAA men's basketball tournament, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returns to action at Martinsville this Sunday (FOX, 1:30 p.m. ET). It's been a rough start to the season for some of the circuit's top names, but this is the track to make all things right.

I'm honored to present the inaugural AT&T Fantasy Dominator nod to Jeff Gordon. Each week, I'll name the driver who needs to be cemented into the No. 1 slot in your fantasy lineup.

For this week's run in Virginia, the honor goes to Gordon. This seven-time Martinsville winner and longtime circuit hero is the perfect choice to get things started. Gordon has completed 24 top-10 runs in 30 career starts at the track including a current streak of 10 races. He's also raced to six consecutive top-5 finishes entering this weekend's event.

Now, I would be remiss if I failed to acknowledge the dominance of Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jimmie Johnson. Johnson is a three-time defending winner at this track and owns an impressive 11-race streak of top-10 finishes.

I've identified the top drivers for this event, so now it's time to gauge the prevailing winds and pick a longshot who may charge toward the top. After reviewing the logs and files and pacing along the beach, I've come upon Scott Riggs. Riggs has produced only one top-20 finish in five events to open 2008, but he's run well in past Martinsville events. He's claimed two top-10 finishes in his past four starts and improved 16 slots over qualifying to run 16th last fall.

Welcome to the new AT&T. Your fantasy world. Connected.
