2     D. Earnhardt, Jr. 4th place gives him 4 top fives and 8 top 10s, but when will he win one?
3     Jeff Burton 11 races this season and 11 trips inside the top 13 - that's impressive
4 6 Denny Hamlin 7th place this week gives him 6 top 7 finishes in last 7 races, that'll work
5 7 Carl Edwards Didn't lead a single one of the 367 laps, but finished 2nd anyhow, 5th top 5
6 4 Clint Bowyer 15th at Darlington was actually his 1st time outside the top 10 in 8 races
7 8 Jimmie Johnson Has placed 13th, 30th, 13th the last 3 races, yet still climbed to 6th in pts
8 7 Tony Stewart Has now finished outside the top 20 in 2 of the last 3 weeks, still 8th in pts
9 11 Jeff Gordon Despite leading 24 laps, was quiet most of the day, ended up finishing 3rd
10 9 Ryan Newman Left the track after a wreck took him out, finished 37th, 72 laps back
11 10 Kevin Harvick Sat out over 100 laps after hitting the wall, worst finish of the season, 39th
12     Martin Truex, Jr. His team has his car running well of late, led 11 laps and finished 14th
13 19 David Ragan This is a driver to watch all of a sudden, with 2 top 5s in the last 3 weeks
14 13 Greg Biffle Qualified on the pole, yet finished dead last, something very wrong with that
15 17 Matt Kenseth 6th at Darlington was just his 5th top 10 of the year, he needed it badly
16     Bobby Labonte Has now run in the teens 6 of 10 times this season, 18th at Darlington
17 14 Kasey Kahne Has now finished 17th or worse in 6 of the last 8 races, was 22nd this week
18 15 Juan P. Montoya Has placed 32nd and 23rd in the 2 weeks following his 2nd at Talladega
19 21 Mark Martin Had a string of 3 straight top 10s going before coming in 16th at Darlington
20 24 Travis Kvapil Coming alive, been in top 22 for 6 straight races, placed 8th at Darlington
21 23 Scott Riggs 16th, 19th and 17th the last 3 weeks has him moving up the ranks slowly
22 25 Kurt Busch Former champion is now the lesser of the Busch brothers, 12th this week
23 26 D. Reutimann 18th, 20th, 22nd, 19th in last 4 races, 8 of 11 races have been in the top 23
24 18 Brian Vickers Has placed between 23rd and 28th in 4 of the last 6 races, 25th this week
25 20 Paul Menard Had 4 straight strong races before finishing 31st and 36th the last 2 weeks
26 27 David Gilliland 20th gives him his 4th top 20 in last 5 races, even led a lap at Darlington
27 29 J. McMurray He looks to be making a little push lately, 11th gives him 5 of 6 in top 17
28 22 Casey Mears Just can't figure Mears out this season, 4 top 15s, 5 in 35th or worse
29 33 Dave Blaney Darlington was easily his best race of the year, starting 13th, finishing 9th
30 28 Elliott Sadler Was out of contention within the race's first 50 laps, finished 42nd
31     Regan Smith After placing 29th at Darlington, he still has just 1 top 20 run all year
32 30 Reed Sorenson Was never in contention this week, placing in 32nd after starting 39th
33 37 Allmendinger Has run in 3 straight and just put up his best finish with a 27th at Darlington
34 32 Robby Gordon Just hasn't been his year, 8 of his last 9 races have been 24th or worse
35 36 M. McDowell Has now run in 6 straight events and is averaging a finish of 31st
36 38 Michael Waltrip His 700th career race turned out to be his best one in 6 weeks, 24th
37 34 Sam Hornish Still trying to find the consistency in Sprint Cup cars, ended his day 38th
38 42 J.J. Yeley Led his 1st lap of the year, but still finished in the 20s like he has 6 times
39     Joe Nemechek Has been 25th, 29th and 31st the last 3 weeks, not too bad for the veteran
40 35 Kyle Petty Had issues right from the start Saturday, ended in 41st, 117 laps behind
41 43 Bill Elliott Darlington was his 1st race in almost a month, and he came in at 30th
42 41 P. Carpentier Was last person in the field, but found no luck early on, ending day in 40th
43 40 Johnny Sauter Missed his 2nd event in 4 weeks this Saturday, gonna see him drop a bit
44     Dario Franchitti Has now missed a few races in a row after injuring himself last month
45     Mike Skinner Missed his 5th race of the year, still trying to break into the top 20
46     Aric Almirola Finished 8th, 42nd and 33rd in his 3 runs this season, missed Darlington
47     Jeremy Mayfield Finished in the 30s 4 straight times before sitting the last 4 races out
48     Ken Schrader Ended in 42nd 3 weeks ago, then failed to qualify for the past 2 races
49     John Andretti Has made just 3 races all year, and has gone 40th, 35th and 40th
50     David Stremme No Sprint races the last few weeks, placed 6th in Nationwide race, though

54 52 Kenny Wallace Dead last at Daytona, then hasn't run in any of the 10 races since
55 54 Scott Wimmer Didn't race in either Sprint or Nationwide this week, 22nd in Nationwide pts
