* TODAY

Parade: NASCAR driver Tony Stewart is grand marshal of Fiesta Bowl parade through central Phoenix. 11 a.m.

Gridiron Jam: City of Glendale hosts street festival featuring Ohio State band, NASA astronauts and football-themed activities. 4 to 10 p.m.

Band bash: Longhorn and Buckeye marching bands featured in a battle of the bands at Waterfront development in Scottsdale. 6 to 8 p.m.

* SUNDAY

Texas Exes Welcome Party: Cadillac Ranch, 2000 E. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe. Doors open at 5 p.m. with $10 cover charge going to Texas Exes Phoenix chapter's scholarship fund. Longhorn cheerleaders and Phoenix Suns' gorilla mascot scheduled to appear. Contact: Erin Naman (713) 963-9078

Fiesta Bowl Invitational: Beach Boys leader Brian Wilson headlines cocktail party featuring VIPs from participating universities and the Fiesta Bowl board at the Phoenician in Scottsdale. 6:30 p.m. Contact: Cassie Davis 480-350-0909.

Tailgate party: Pregame event, billed as college football's biggest party, at Glendale Youth Sports Complex. Noon to 5 p.m.

Fiesta Bowl: Texas vs. Ohio State, 7 p.m. Central (6 p.m. in Phoenix), University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, Ariz.
