Dramatic end to Kyle Busch's week

AVONDALE, Ariz.
Kyle Busch just can’t escape bad news.
To put a capper on the most turbulent week of his NASCAR career, Busch's race day ended prematurely Sunday at Phoenix International Raceway because of an engine failure.
SO SORRY
Parked for the rest of the weekend by NASCAR for his intentional wreck on Friday, Kyle Busch apologized on Saturday.It was a familiar tune for Busch this weekend. The driver of the No. 18 Interstate Batteries Toyota started at the tail end of the field Sunday in the Sprint Cup Series race after he had an engine change because of a motor issue on Friday.
The result ended a day on which Busch charged from 43rd all the way to third when the engine issues surfaced, sending him straight to the garage and relegating him to a 36th-place finish.
It was quite a conclusion to a week that opened with a $50,000 fine and probation until the end of the season for Busch after he wrecked Ron Hornaday at Texas Motor Speedway in the Camping World Truck Series race. Busch had already been forced to sit out the weekend's Nationwide and Sprint Cup series races.
Then came rampant speculation throughout the week that he would have to miss the last two races of the season. However, it was announced Thursday night that Busch would drive with sponsorship from Interstate Batteries after primary sponsor M&M's parent company opted out of sponsoring the final pair of races.
