FOX GRABS 4 SPORTS EMMYS, INCLUDING MAJORS FOR BUCK & McCARVER: Continuing to display an impressive stronghold on the first-class production of exciting and innovative sports programming, FOX Sports added four more Sports Emmy awards this past week, escalating its grand total to 57 in just nine years of existence. Leading the way among the major sports personality categories was MLB on FOX' top broadcast team of Joe Buck and Tim McCarver. Each brought home his third award for Outstanding Play-by-Play and Event Analyst respectively. As it turned out, Buck performed double duty at the podium at this year's awards, also serving as host of the evening's festivities for Fox Sports Net's BEST DAMN SPORTS SHOW PERIOD PRESENTS THE 24TH ANNUAL SPORTS EMMY AWARDS, which airs this Sunday, April 27 (6:00-8:00 PM local time). The Academy also honored FOX Sports with awards for Outstanding Live Event Audio for NASCAR on FOX, as well as Outstanding Graphics Design for the NFL on FOX' presentation of Super Bowl XXXVI.
