Drivers to watch at Bristol

The first on that is Denny Hamlin. Even though he has not won at Bristol, he has always had a great race car there the last four years he has been there. In addition to that, he won Martinsville in the fall last year. So he will be one to watch.

I would keep a close watch on all three of those Richard Childress cars. Kevin Harvick, Jeff Burton and Clint Bowyer always run good at the short tracks. If you remember back a few yeas ago at the spring race at Bristol, they finished 1-2-3. On top of all that, they all are running really strong in 2010.
A couple guys to watch at Bristol but aren’t always that strong at Martinsville are the Busch brothers. Older brother Kurt is coming off the win in Atlanta and has five wins at Bristol. Kyle has won three times at Bristol including sweeping the races there last year. But again what is interesting is for all their success at Bristol, neither has a stellar record at Martinsville.
Obviously you have to keep your eye on Hendrick Motorsports. They run exceptionally well at both Bristol and Martinsville. All four cars and drivers (Mark Martin, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr..) love going to both those tracks. If you don’t believe me, just look at their records.
Also this weekend, watch for that No. 9 car and Kasey Kahne. He is always strong at Bristol. He is a little weaker at Martinsville though. Carl Edwards has won at Bristol too and he might break out of his slump this weekend. Other than Jamie McMurray winning Talladega last year for Roush-Fenway Racing, it's simply hard to imagine that organization has gone a year without a win.
If you are looking for a couple of sleepers, well Marcos Ambrose is at the top of that list for me. He had two great runs there last year. He even finished 10th in the spring race at Bristol last year with a sour engine. He followed that up with a great third-place finish last fall.
My other sleeper is one you probably would never consider for either Bristol or Martinsville but when you look at the records, Juan Pablo Montoya has had some great runs, especially at Martinsville. With Martinsville it really has road course characteristics about not over-driving the corner and so we know that kind of falls into Juan Pablo’s forte.
Now conversely there are a couple of guys high in the points right now that these next two weekends might prove stumbling blocks for them are
