| News: Hamlin finished second in the Bojangles' Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway on Saturday night.

Impact: Hamlin had a strong No. 11 Toyota Camry. He led 56 laps in the later half of the race and made his presence felt at go time. The Joe Gibbs Racing star was in position to challenge for the win in the final restart but was unable to track down Jimmie Johnson for the win. It was Hamlin's fifth Top-5 finish of the season. He remains fourth in the overall driver standings heading into the All-Star break. | |
