| News: Harvick was fastest in opening practice for the Bojangles' Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway on Friday. He turned a fast lap of 177.090 mph.

Impact: Harvick was the only driver to break the 177 mph mark in the first practice session at the Lady in Black. The even better part of this news is that he also kept the infamous Darlington Stripe off the side of his No. 29 Chevrolet. Harvick looks poised for a great qualifying run later Friday afternoon at the Darlington oval. | |
