News: Anthony embarked upon rehabilitation of the slight tear of the labrum in his right shoulder Wednesday, The Wall Street Journal reports. Impact: Anthony's production scaled back significantly once the injury became evident in April, during which he recorded 18.6 points (on 41.6 percent shooting), 6.4 boards, four assists, 2.2 steals, and 0.6 three-pointers in 37.4 minutes per game. Although he'll be contained to treatment on the shoulder for the next month, an exam slated for mid-May could alter the course of his offseason plans if, say, surgery is suddenly deemed appropriate for the long term. Nevertheless, there are no plans to travel that path at the moment, with the status quo reigning for one of the potential prizes of free agency this summer.(RotoWire, )

News: Anthony won't suit up for the Knicks' final two games of the season Tuesday and Wednesday due to a slight tear to his labrum, the Bergen Record reports. Impact: Anthony will avoid surgery for now, but an examination approximately one month from now will likely determine the rest of his offseason progresses. He's barely holding off LeBron James for the No. 2 spot among the league's top scorers, finishing the season with 27.4 points (on 45.2 percent shooting), 8.1 boards, 3.1 assists, 2.2 treys, and 1.2 swipes in 38.7 minutes per outing.(RotoWire, )

News: Anthony will miss the final two games with a torn labrum in his right shoulder, ending his first playoff-less season and potentially his New York Knicks career. Impact: Anthony had an MRI Tuesday. The Knicks said he would not require surgery at this point and would be evaluated in about a month. Anthony will miss the playoffs for the first time in his 11-year career. He has said he plans to become a free agent in July.(STATS, 10:46am)

News: Anthony (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Nets, ESPN New York reports. Impact: Anthony's right shoulder has hampered him for over a week now and with the Knicks officially eliminated from playoff contention, the All-Star risking further aggravation doesn't seem sensible. He did not participate in Tuesday morning's shootaround, so Anthony's status to play versus Brooklyn is probably closer to doubtful. Should he indeed sit out, Iman Shumpert could enter the Knicks' starting lineup.(RotoWire, )

News: Anthony had 17 points, one rebound, three assists and one steal in 28 minutes Sunday against the Bulls. Impact: Now that the Knicks are officially eliminated from the playoffs, Anthony may pursue medical treatment for his injured shoulder, and he is not a lock to play again this season if he decides to go that route. Continue to monitor his status in the coming days.(RotoWire, )

News: Anthony said that he may decide to get an MRI on his shoulder in the next couple of days due to lingering pain, the Wall Street Journal reports. Impact: It appears that Anthony's shoulder is a nuisance and shouldn't cause him to miss any time, but it's clear that it has hindered his performance since he's shot just 35 percent over the past three games. The Knicks may decide to sit him out the final two regular season games for precaution, but don't expect him to miss any time once the playoffs roll around.(RotoWire, )

News: Anthony will wait to address his shoulder issues until after the season is over, the New York Post reports. Impact: Anthony said that the injury is different than the partial tear in his labrum and rotator cuff that he suffered last season. He should be a productive option, despite this nuisance injury, because he's already proven that he can play well through through the pain.(RotoWire, )

News: Anthony (shoulder) had a team-high 30 points (8-17 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 13-14 FT) with eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals in 39 minutes in the win over the Raptors on Friday. Impact: Anthony was a game-time time decision, after being limited in practice Wednesday, but was able to take advantage of some inconsistency in the Raptors' frontcourt. He should continue to play big minutes, as the Knicks try to push their way into the playoffs.(RotoWire, )

News: Anthony (shoulder) was limited at practice Wednesday and did not take part in any contact drills, The Wall Street Journal reports. According to coach Mike Woodson, he has not had any additional tests on his shoulder and he is expected to play Friday against the Raptors, Newsday reports. Impact: Anthony has been dealing with the sore shoulder for almost a week now (that we've known about). The soreness is obviously affecting his playing ability, as he has only averaged 11.5 points on just 29 percent shooting over his last two outings. But with the Knicks still in the playoff hunt, expect Anthony to continue to play through the injury until they are mathematically eliminated.(RotoWire, )

News: Anthony (shoulder) had 13 points (4-17 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT) with five boards, six assists, two steals and a block in 44 minutes Sunday against the Heat. Impact: It was well documented before the game that Anthony isn't close to 100 percent healthy, as he was having trouble raising his right arm above his head, but with the Knicks fighting to get into the playoffs, he gave his team what he had. The Knicks are two games out of a playoff spot with four games to play, and if they become mathematically eliminated at some point this week, it's conceivable that Anthony could be shut down for the season.(RotoWire, )
Sat. Apr 5, 2014
News: Anthony still plans to play Sunday, but he said his right shoulder still feels tight and it's affecting his ability to lift his right arm, ESPN New York's Ian Begley reports. Impact: This certainly doesn't sound like Anthony is close to full strength, but with the Knicks one game out of the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs with five games to play, they need all hands on deck. Anthony at 70 or 80 percent is still better than most options on fantasy rosters, so he should still be deployed in all formats.(RotoWire, )
Fri. Apr 4, 2014
News: Anthony struggled in Friday's loss to the Wizards, posting just 10 points (5-14 FG, 0-4 3Pt), but managed to pull of eight rebounds, five assists, and four steals in 38 minutes. Impact: Anthony struggled to score his usual share but still dished out five assists and contributed four steals. He's an elite option, but owners will need him to contribute more points to be effective.(RotoWire, )

News: Anthony is expected to play Sunday in Miami. Impact: Anthony had X-rays on his strained right shoulder, which came back negative, and is expected to remain in the starting lineup for Sunday's game.(RotoWire, )
