News: Jefferson (foot) is confident he will play on Wednesday, the Charlotte Observer reports. Impact: Jefferson was reportedly still wearing a boot on Wednesday morning, but believes he'll be ready to go on Wednesday night. The center suffered the injury in the first quarter of Game 1, but still managed to log 35 effective minutes, scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 boards to go along with two blocks, an assist and a steal. Jefferson is still considered a game-time decision for Wednesday, but it looks more likely that he will suit up for Game 2.(RotoWire, )

News: Jefferson (foot) might be a game-time decision for Wednesday's Game 2 against the Heat, the Charlotte Observer reports. Impact: This report is largely speculation on the part of the beat writer from the Observer. Apparently, coach Steve Clifford seemed "less than certain" that Jefferson would play Wednesday, but given that all we've heard out of Jefferson is that he will indeed play, it seems more likely that Jefferson does his best to fight through the injury.(RotoWire, )

News: According to coach Steve Clifford, Jefferson may not participate in shootaround Wednesday before the team's Game 2 matchup with the Heat, the Charlotte Observer reports. Impact: Jefferson did not participate in practice Tuesday because of the tear in his plantar fascia that he suffered in Game 1. He has come out and said that he will play through the injury, but it would be wise to check on his status before Wednesday's game. The Bobcats certainly need Jefferson in the lineup, as they are already down a game to the second-seeded Heat in the series.(RotoWire, )

News: Jefferson (foot) said he will play in Wednesday's Game 2 against the Heat, CBS Sports reports. He told Ken Berger of CBS Sports that he's, "suiting up" and "It'll take more than that to make me sit down." Impact: It sounds as if the tear Jefferson suffered to his plantar fascia in Sunday's Game 1 won't hold him out of Wednesday's tilt. He didn't practice Tuesday, but with it being the playoffs, Jefferson will likely fight through the injury and take the court Wednesday. However, the question remains how effective Jefferson can be while playing through the injury.(RotoWire, )

News: Bobcats coach Steve Clifford says Al Jefferson's left foot remains in a walking boot and the team's star center is "day-to-day" for Wednesday night's playoff game against the Miami Heat. Jefferson received treatment Monday and didn't participate in a light workout. Impact: Clifford says "he has a lot of soreness and he's in a walking boot to help with his recovery." Jefferson, Charlotte's leading scorer, strained the plantar fascia in his left foot in the first quarter of Sunday's 99-88 Game 1 loss to the Heat. He returned and finished the game with 18 points and 10 rebounds but played with a noticeable limp. Clifford says the medical staff informed him that Jefferson can't injure the foot anymore if he plays.(STATS, 1:13pm)

News: Jefferson (foot) will not practice Tuesday and is considered day-to-day ahead of Wednesday's Game 2 against the Heat, the Miami Herald reports. Impact: Jefferson reportedly suffered a tear in relation to the plantar fasciitis in his left foot during Sunday's Game 1 in Miami. Although the injury caused Jefferson to make a brief locker room visit, he still recorded 18 points and 10 rebounds in 35 minutes of play. Nonetheless, Jefferson was clearly limited by his foot throughout the contest. Now wearing a walking boot, Jefferson has undergone an MRI to further determine the extent of his injury. While he's slated to miss Tuesday's practice, Jefferson still hopes to play Wednesday. With that in mind, Jefferson is considered a game-time decision for Game 2, making him a risky fantasy option or survivor pool selection.(RotoWire, )

News: Jefferson suffered a tear in relation to the plantar fasciitis in his foot Sunday and left the arena in a walking boot; however, he plans to continue to play with the injury, the AP reports. Impact: Jefferson left briefly in the first quarter and was given an injection to help with the injury before returning to play 35 minutes and post an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double to go with two blocks. This should make anyone who played Jefferson in a survivor pool very happy. While we hope Jefferson can fight through the injury to give the Bobcats at least their due against the Heat, virtually every report that has ever come out about plantar fasciitis injuries in the NBA has included a paragraph or two about how problematic and painful the injury can be. This is a big blow to the Bobcats.(RotoWire, )
