News: Griffin has been suspended for a game after getting his 16th technical foul this season. Impact: NBA president of operations Rod Thorn announced the suspension, and Griffin will sit out the regular-season finale on Wednesday night against Portland. Regardless, Griffin planned to skip the last game to rest before the playoffs. It shows how useless this 'punishment' really is, but that's the NBA for you, it's not the first time nor will it be the last that they make such a dumb decision.(STATS, 2:16pm)

News: Griffin (suspension) will not travel with the team to Portland for their game Wednesday, the Clippers' official site reports. Impact: Griffin was assessed his 16th technical foul of the season Tuesday and will be suspended for Wednesday's game. While it may have been possible for Griffin to ask the league to rescind the foul and clear him to play Wednesday, the Clippers aren't even pursuing that route. They chose to leave Griffin home so that he didn't even have to travel with the team. Given that he suffered from back spasms a couple weeks ago, it's not a bad thing that Griffin get some rest heading into the playoffs.(RotoWire, )
