News: The NBA says the call that resulted in Houston's Dwight Howard fouling out Sunday was incorrect. Instead, the All-Star center should have received two free throws that could have given the Rockets the lead. Impact: Howard was called for his sixth foul with 10.8 seconds left in overtime while trying to get the rebound of James Harden's missed 3-pointer. Portland's Joel Freeland made one free throw, the final point in the Trail Blazers' 122-120 victory. But replays showed Freeland with an arm around Howard's back holding him. NBA president of operations Rod Thorn says in a statement Monday the foul should have been on Freeland. (STATS, 4:07pm)

News: Howard recorded a double-double that included 27 points (9-21 FG, 9-17 FT), 15 rebounds, one assist, one steal and four blocks in Sunday's 34 minute outing. Impact: Howard was in foul trouble throughout the game and actually fouled out in overtime. The big man's box score was impressive but there's always a glimmer of hope that Howard will flip a switch and go off for a historic performance because of his potential. His owners reaped the benefits regardless and there's a good chance that the center will provide more production like this before the Rockets exit the playoffs.(RotoWire, )

News: Howard (ankle) returned to his familiar starting role after missing the last eight games, scoring 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-8 FT), grabbing six rebounds and blocking two shots in 29 minutes. Impact: Howard's return likely spells the end for Omer Asik's big run and relegates him to deep league relevance only. Expect Howard to be back to himself for the season's final games.(RotoWire, )

News: Howard (ankle) will miss Friday's game against Minnesota, the Rockets' official Twitter account reports. Impact: Howard appears to be on the verge of returning from his ankle injury, with Saturday versus the Pelicans a likely possibility. While Omer Asik will get an eighth consecutive start Friday, that streak shouldn't last much longer since Howard is expected to be back in the next couple games.(RotoWire, )

News: Howard (ankle) will not play Wednesday versus the Nuggets, the Houston Chronicle reports. Impact: Howard was initially listed as "we'll see" by the Rockets, but it turns out he'll remain sidelined for the seventh straight game.
