News: Harden scored 18 points (6-19 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT) to go along with four assists and three rebounds in 44 minutes against Portland on Wednesday night. Impact: Harden just couldn't get going Wednesday night and Houston now faces an almost insurmountable road down two games heading to Portland. But, the series has been close, and although the Blazers are home, it's hard to count out Harden from catching fire to at least extend this series to five or six games. He's shooting 29.7 percent so far, but expect that to change in Game 3.(RotoWire, )

News: Harden had a relatively disappointing game during Sunday's overtime contest with Portland. He finished with 27 points (8-28 FG, 3-14 3Pt, 8-10 FT), five rebounds, six assists and one steal in 45 minutes. Impact: Harden struggled to shoot the ball all night and didn't play up to his high-level status as an elite NBA player. He's performed too well all season long not to perform better at some point during this series with the Blazers. The fifth-year player will look for redemption when Game 2 takes place Wednesday.(RotoWire, )

News: Harden could possibly be given the day off on Wednesday in Denver, the Houston Chronicle reports. Impact: Harden may be a prime candidate for the Rockets to rest on Wednesday, especially being the second game of a back-to-back. As the Rockets are essentially locked into the four seed in the playoffs, head coach Kevin McHale may choose to rest some starters. There won't be any minutes restrictions on players; they will either play in full capacity or not play at all, so make sure to check if Harden is in the starting lineup on Wednesday.(RotoWire, )
