News: Aldridge scored 43 points (18-28 FG, 7-8 FT) and grabbed eight rebounds in 36 minutes Wednesday night against the Rockets. Impact: After what was more or less a breakout season, Aldridge is now taking it to the national stage to prove he is one of the league's best players. It's only two games, but he's averaging 44.5 points and 13.0 rebounds against Houston as the Blazers head home up 2-0. It wouldn't be fair to expect another 40-point night, but it's clear the Rockets cannot match up with him. Buyer beware in Game 3, but his confidence is sky high and the Blazers — who haven't won a postseason series since 2000 — are looking to put this series out of reach.(RotoWire, )

News: Aldridge fouled out of Sunday's matchup with the Rockets but managed to record 46 points (17-31 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 10-13 FT), 18 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 45 minutes of action. Impact: This was a stunning performance from one of the best players in the NBA right now. His ability to record a monster double-double like Sunday's shouldn't be too surprising for people that have followed his season. Aldridge will look to continue his excellent play when Portland plays Game 2 on Wednesday.(RotoWire, )

News: Aldridge (rest) will not play in Wednesday's season finale against the Clippers, CSN Northwest reports. Impact: The Blazers will rest their All-Star, as they're locked into a first-round matchup with the Rockets as the five seed out West. Aldridge will finish the regular season with averages of 23.2 points (career high) and 11.1 rebounds (career high) while shooting 45.8 percent from the field.(RotoWire, )

News: Aldridge may sit out Wednesday's game for rest, the Oregonian reports. Impact: Aldridge would simply be getting the night off to rest ahead of the playoffs. If he sits out, Dorell Wright, Thomas Robinson, or Joel Freeland could benefit with a move to the starting lineup.(RotoWire, )

News: Aldridge scored 18 points (8-19 FG, 2-2 FT) and grabbed 14 rebounds in 34 minutes Friday against the Jazz. Impact: Aldridge also managed two assists in the game. Since returning from a two week absence in late March, Aldridge has been his usual, hyper-productive self. No matter how many injuries he suffers through in his career, he always seems to bounce back from them. He should be used every night in almost any fantasy format.(RotoWire, )
