Can you picture Antoine Walker on the Heat?
Yesterday's South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported that the team and ‘Toine were planning to meet in the very near future (by the time you read this, it may have already happened) to talk about how Employee No. 8 would fit into the mix.
They would be advised to include D-Wade and Shaq in that conversation to make sure they think that ‘Toine would help. Although, Shaq also wants Tyronn Lue to be their point guard so maybe it doesn't matter.
Speaking of Flash, we heard yesterday that he's donating 225 pairs of Converse kicks to the Marquette University National Youth Program. Very cool.
Did the Pistons really offer Darko to Atlanta? Today, it doesn't really matter. Whether Milicic likes it or not, he's not going anywhere. The Pistons exercised their option on Darko yesterday to keep him under contract for the next two seasons.
Check out this quote from new Celtic Brian Scalabrine in the Boston Globe:
''I look at it like this: Everybody in the NBA would want me on their team. I could be a functional starter for an NBA team. I could also, in a certain situation, be a 12th man on a team, not that I would want to be a 12th man. If I was 12th man, I feel like I would do that role the best."
Sounds like it's worth five years, $15 million doesn't it?
Remember Rony Seikaly? Dude is married to SI swimsuit model Elsa Benitez. Yesterday the N.Y. Post's Page Six reported that Elsa's moved out because she can't handle Rony's constant partying.
How serious is Rony about his parties? Apparently his mansion has steel shutters that come down to close everyone inside until the party is over.
Capitol Records will release an Eazy-E CD/DVD entitled "Eternal E: Gangsta Memorial Edition," on September 6th. The set features sixteen tracks from the late N.W.A rapper, as well as the previously unreleased "A Lil' Eazier Said," from his son, LIL' E.
We're out like Elsa.
