When the Lakers started game One of the 2008 playoffs, I said they would go 16-3. It's holding true so far.

why is it when the Spurs lose they cry foul. Derek Fisher made contact with BB, but the refs missed the fact that his shot on the possession before hit the rim and should have reset the shot clock. So the spurs would have fouled and the lakers would have shot 2 free throws. So it really is a wash. Stop crying foul and accept the fact you are going fishing with Charles Barkley!!!!!

Ok,,,,I'm finally sick of the NBA Christ sakes call a foul when there is a foul... Its all about the major market teams and the TV audience that will make the most $ for the already rich National Basketball Assoc. Christ sakes atleast don't make it as bleepin obvious as you have..I'm done Go Spurs!!

How many old guys are there on the Spurs team? What only one young guy. May be that is why they ran out of gas in game four!

Matthew I have to agree with you in the sense that a foul in the first min. it should be a foul in the last min. But the history of the NBA shows that is not the case. Barry would have only received 2 free throws. But throughtout these playoffs there has been so many missed calls or bad calls or no calls it would be hard to say that one play cost them the game. the league should train refs to call the game the same way at the end as the beg. But the refs have too much money on the line in Vegas :)

MatthewT,
The call still would have been on the floor giving Barry only two freethrows not three.Plus what nobody seems to relize is the play with Fishers shot hitting rim on the other end was not reviewed because the Lakers won the game, but it clearly hit rim giving the Lakers a fresh 24 seconds on the shot clock. If the refs had not missed this call Barry never sees the ball on the other end.

NEWSFLASH - the league just admitted that Barry was fouled and since the Lakers were over the limit he should have been on the line for 2 shots, now do I think this would have made a differnace in the outcome.....NO.....the Spurs were shooting terribly and the Lakers would have probably won in OT. I certainly hope this wakes up SOMEONE and they realize just how much a NO CALL, or even a CALL at the wrong moment can wrong what was otherwise a pretty good game. And I mean pretty good in that it was close and it could have been anyones game down the stretch. Something has to be done about how the game is called....moving on....it is always very funny to see Laker fanatics just give the Spur fans so much garbage about the Spurs - SPur fans take it as a compliment....they ALWAYS hate you when your on top. If I recall when the Lakers were doing the TRIFECTA DANCE they were probably one of the most hated teams....and when then Bulls did it....TWICE...Mike and the "Jordainaires" were really hated......so Spur fans you should feel complimented......pretty soon it will be either the Lakers or the Celtics that will be ahted just as much and everyone else will take a back seat.peaking of a Celtic.Laker Finals macth up.....WOW...i am going to DVR all the games, hoping for 7, just so i can replay it whenever I want or to the kids 20 years from now......i just hope that I dont get hit with copyright infringments by the NBA......Shhhhhh.....it sgoing to be a heck of a FINALS.....!!!!! I'm out!

I am appalled at the NBA and The Basket ball world for their "good no call" attitude. I am one hundred percent in agreement about not allowing the referee to decide the game. But lets get one thing clear here. Derek Fisher should have decided the game when he reacted to the shot and decided to jump into Brent Barry. The Referee Ultimately decided the game when they blatently chose not to make the foul call. If Barry had been allowed to shoot his free throws then he ultimately would have decided the game. Do not forget that Free throws have to be earned. Who is to say that Barry would have Made all three. he might have Made only 2 and forced overtime; where the Lakers would have had yet another chance to close out the game. You all assume that Barry would have made all 3 free throws and have won the game. It was only Monday that the great Ray Allen missed 2 in a row from the charity stripe after only missing 2 previously for the whole playoffs!
A foul is a foul and the integrity of the game should not be compromised by an official in fear of any reprocussions from the league. A foul should be called the same at the beginning and the end of the game.
Especially one so obviouse

I am biased here but like I said about 2 weeks ago the NBA officiating is horrible `I just watched Rasheed Wallace get a redicious Tech for just explaning a foul for another teamate and now Kendrick Perkins get one just for showing a lil emotion for a foul and this is crazy in the Spurs-Laker game the refs swallowed the whistle but tonight in the Pistons-Celtics game they have the whistles out in force...the refs are not consistant and the calls are horrible I thought college basketball was bad omg this is worse and the Barry-Fisher no call was terrible just terrible a joke but I will say that the Spurs are getting back some of the medicine from last years calls against Steve Nash from cheap shot Rob Horry and this years shot on David West.......so Spurs you live by the whistle you die by the whistle damn I cant wait for the NFL
