The good: Even after losing their first game Friday, the Lakers are in commanding position in the West. Everyone else in the conference has at least four losses, and L.A. can open up more space with six of its next seven games at home.
The bad: While the defense and rebounding have been outstanding, L.A.'s offense hasn't quite clicked. Even Kobe's only shooting 44.9 percent.
