Wilkins changes agents

Damien Wilkins has changed agencies, leaving Tony Dutt of Dutt Sports Services to join Mark Bartelstein at Priority Sports.
Wilkins is the second Thunder player to change agents this summer. Guard Earl Watson left Dan Fegan and BEST Basketball to join Bill Duffy at BDA Sports Management. Like Watson, Wilkins grew frustrated with his role last season as a member of the 23-win Thunder . Although Wilkins never publicly requested to be traded, the change is believed to have been made because of Wilkins' displeasure with his situation. After a career year in 2007-08, Wilkins averaged career lows of 15.5 minutes, 5.3 points 1.7 rebounds and 0.9 assists on 36.2 percent shooting.
Wilkins had until Tuesday to exercise a player option to void the final year of his contract and become a free agent who could then sign with any team. But Wilkins, as he said he would during the season, decided to continue under his current contract as it would have meant turning down $3.3 million next season.
