Adelman to miss Bucks game to attend funeral

MINNEAPOLIS (AP)
Minnesota Timberwolves coach Rick Adelman will miss the team's game at Milwaukee on Tuesday night to attend funeral services for his mother-in-law.
The team made the announcement following the Wolves' season-opening loss to Oklahoma City on Monday night. Assistant coach Terry Porter will serve as coach for the game against the Bucks.
Porter has twice been a head coach in the NBA, with the Bucks from 2003-05 and the Phoenix Suns in the 2008-09 season.
Adelman took over as Timberwolves coach this season after four years in Houston. The Timberwolves fell to Oklahoma City 104-100 in his debut.
