Chicago tenor to sing before Bulls game

CHICAGO
One day after the death of al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden, the Chicago Bulls confirmed via Twitter that tenor Jim Cornelison, the full-time "Star Spangled Banner" singer for the Blackhawks, will perform at the United Center before Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Cornelison's rendition of the anthem has become synonymous with Blackhawks fans' raucous cheers throughout the song, unlike at other venues where it is customary for fans to stand silent.
He is flanked on the ice by a US military service member from a current conflict and a US military veteran as the crowd cheers loudly from start to finish.
Cornelison also sang the national anthem at Soldier Field before the Bears' two playoff games in January.
