Anthony to miss game vs. San Antonio

Nuggets All-Star Carmelo Anthony will miss the game Wednesday night in San Antonio following a death in his family.

The NBA doesn't hand out any honors at the halfway point of the season. That doesn't stop us.The team announced the news Wednesday morning. Nuggets general manager Masai Ujiri said in a release that the organization supports Anthony ''during this difficult time for him and his family.''
Anthony has been the subject of trade rumors since he spurned the team's three-year, $65 million extension over the summer. He's averaging 24 points and 8.3 rebounds this season.
The 26-year-old Anthony has recently been hampered by a strained right elbow, sitting out the last two days of practice leading up to the game with the Spurs.
