Gallinari out 7-10 days with broken toe

DENVER
Denver Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari, acquired in last week's blockbuster trade that sent Carmelo Anthony to the Knicks, will be out seven to 10 days after breaking his toe, the Denver Post reported Tuesday.
The Nuggets said that Gallinari, who scored 30 points in Friday night's loss at Portland, suffered a non-displaced fracture of his left big toe late in the game. Gallinari sat out Monday night's 100-90 win over Atlanta.
The 22-year-old Italian native was drafted sixth overall by the Knicks in 2008. He was traded to Denver along with point guard Raymond Felton, forward Wilson Chandler and center Timofey Mozgov.
The six-foot-10 Gallinari is averaging 15.9 points and 4.8 rebounds this season, but is shooting a career-low 34.1 percent from three-point range.
