Report: Crittenton surrenders to police

ATLANTA (AP)

Former NBA player Javaris (jah-VAHR'-ihs) Crittenton, charged with the murder of a 22-year-old woman, has surrendered to authorities in Atlanta, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Atlanta police earlier obtained a murder warrant for Crittenton in the Aug. 19 shooting of Jullian Jones. Police say was walking with two men when she was shot and they believe one of the men with her was the target.

Crittenton most recently played with the Washington Wizards. The NBA gave him a 38-game suspension during the 2009-10 season after he and teammate Gilbert Arenas acknowledged bringing guns into the locker room.
