Lakers' Barnes undergoes knee surgery

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP)
Los Angeles Lakers forward Matt Barnes has undergone surgery on a torn lateral meniscus in his right knee.

The Lakers may be eliminated, but the Heat are still shooting for the NBA Finals. Visit Heat or 3peat CentralThe team says the surgery was done Tuesday by Lakers physician Steve Lombardo at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles.
Barnes is expected to be out about eight weeks. He was injured Jan. 7 in a game against New Orleans.
He has averaged 7.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 20.8 minutes while playing 37 games this season.
