Wade could miss time with thigh bruise

MIAMI
Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade could miss Wednesday night's home contest against Milwaukee after suffering what the team is calling a "right lateral thigh contusion" during Sunday's win over the Nets.

"It's just real sore," Wade said. "I'll take the next couple of days, and get treatment and rest, and I'm sure I'll be a game-time decision on Wednesday."
Wade, who is third in the league in scoring at 25.7 points per game, sustained the injury in the first quarter when he was kneed in the thigh by Nets forward Travis Outlaw. He went to the locker room in the second quarter, but played the second half.
Fellow superstar LeBron James emphasized Wednesday that there should be no rush on Wade returning.
"He knows at this point he doesn't have to push it," James said. "We need him more later than we do now."
The Heat have five games remaining in the regular season, ending at Toronto on April 13. At 54-23, Miami is in line for the second seed in the East and a half-game in front of Boston. The Bulls have a 2.5-game edge for the top seed.
