News: Jefferson (foot) might be a game-time decision for Wednesday's Game 2 against the Heat, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: This report is largely speculation on the part of the beat writer from the Observer. Apparently, coach Steve Clifford seemed "less than certain" that Jefferson would play Wednesday, but given that all we've heard out of Jefferson is that he will indeed play, it seems more likely that Jefferson does his best to fight through the injury.

News: According to coach Steve Clifford, Jefferson may not participate in shootaround Wednesday before the team's Game 2 matchup with the Heat, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: Jefferson did not participate in practice Tuesday because of the tear in his plantar fascia that he suffered in Game 1. He has come out and said that he will play through the injury, but it would be wise to check on his status before Wednesday's game. The Bobcats certainly need Jefferson in the lineup, as they are already down a game to the second-seeded Heat in the series.

News: Jefferson (foot) said he will play in Wednesday's Game 2 against the Heat, CBS Sports reports. He told Ken Berger of CBS Sports that he's, "suiting up" and "It'll take more than that to make me sit down."
Impact: It sounds as if the tear Jefferson suffered to his plantar fascia in Sunday's Game 1 won't hold him out of Wednesday's tilt. He didn't practice Tuesday, but with it being the playoffs, Jefferson will likely fight through the injury and take the court Wednesday. However, the question remains how effective Jefferson can be while playing through the injury.

News: Bobcats coach Steve Clifford says Al Jefferson's left foot remains in a walking boot and the team's star center is "day-to-day" for Wednesday night's playoff game against the Miami Heat. Jefferson received treatment Monday and didn't participate in a light workout.
Impact: Clifford says "he has a lot of soreness and he's in a walking boot to help with his recovery." Jefferson, Charlotte's leading scorer, strained the plantar fascia in his left foot in the first quarter of Sunday's 99-88 Game 1 loss to the Heat. He returned and finished the game with 18 points and 10 rebounds but played with a noticeable limp. Clifford says the medical staff informed him that Jefferson can't injure the foot anymore if he plays.

News: Jefferson (foot) will not practice Tuesday and is considered day-to-day ahead of Wednesday's Game 2 against the Heat, the Miami Herald reports.
Impact: Jefferson reportedly suffered a tear in relation to the plantar fasciitis in his left foot during Sunday's Game 1 in Miami. Although the injury caused Jefferson to make a brief locker room visit, he still recorded 18 points and 10 rebounds in 35 minutes of play. Nonetheless, Jefferson was clearly limited by his foot throughout the contest. Now wearing a walking boot, Jefferson has undergone an MRI to further determine the extent of his injury. While he's slated to miss Tuesday's practice, Jefferson still hopes to play Wednesday. With that in mind, Jefferson is considered a game-time decision for Game 2, making him a risky fantasy option or survivor pool selection.
Gary Neal - #12 - Guard - 6'4" - 210lbs
News: Neal had a bench-high 17 points (7-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT) with three boards in 28 minutes off the bench Sunday in the Bobcats' Game 1 loss to the Heat.
Impact: There's no question that Neal will continue to hear his number called with regularity throughout this first-round bout, as he has more playoffs experience than the rest of the team combined.
News: McRoberts had 15 points (6-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt) with seven boards, four assists and two steals in 37 minutes Sunday in a Game 1 loss to the Heat.
Impact: With Al Jefferson (foot) likely playing at less than 100 percent for the remainder of the series, McRoberts should continue to be a heavily utilized option in the frontcourt for Charlotte.
News: Jefferson suffered a tear in relation to the plantar fasciitis in his foot Sunday and left the arena in a walking boot; however, he plans to continue to play with the injury, the AP reports.
Impact: Jefferson left briefly in the first quarter and was given an injection to help with the injury before returning to play 35 minutes and post an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double to go with two blocks. This should make anyone who played Jefferson in a survivor pool very happy. While we hope Jefferson can fight through the injury to give the Bobcats at least their due against the Heat, virtually every report that has ever come out about plantar fasciitis injuries in the NBA has included a paragraph or two about how problematic and painful the injury can be. This is a big blow to the Bobcats.
News: Jefferson suffered a left plantar fascia sprain during the first quarter of Sunday's playoff game in Miami, the Bobcats' official Twitter account reports.
Impact: Jefferson scored eight points (4-4 FG) in 10 minutes prior to leaving Sunday's game. After a visit to Charlotte's locker room, it appears he will be able to return, representing a boost for both the Bobcats and Jefferson's fantasy owners.
Wed. Apr 16, 2014 | STATS
News: Kemba Walker scored 22 points, helping the Charlotte Bobcats close out the season with a win as they head to the playoffs for the second time in franchise history. He also added eight assists and seven rebounds.
Impact: Walker came through when Charlotte needed him most, scoring eight points in overtime as the team beat Chicago 91-86.
Chris Douglas-Roberts - #55 - Guard-Forward - 6'7" - 210lbs
Wed. Apr 16, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Douglas-Roberts scored 13 points (4-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and had one rebound and one block in 30 minutes against Chicago on Wednesday night.
Impact: CDR has seen a noticeable boost in minutes lately, averaging 26.8 per game over his last 10 games. He's had a bit of a strange season, but he's firmly in the rotation for Charlotte now as they're fairly desperate to find any type of scoring from the wing. Still, his fantasy value is limited.
Wed. Apr 16, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Walker scored 22 points (6-16 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 10-11 FT) to go along with eight assists and seven rebounds in 40 minutes against Chicago on Wednesday night.
Impact: Although he struggled from outside, it was a very welcome sight for Bobcats fans to see Walker looking like his usual self after missing a couple of games last weekend with a groin injury. With the way Al Jefferson has been playing, couple with a healthy Walker, Charlotte could be a little more dangerous than most people might assume in the postseason. That makes him one of the better value plays in daily contests.
Tue. Apr 15, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Walker, who had been dealing with a sore groin, says he is fine now after returning to the court Monday after a two-game absence, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: This is good news for the Bobcats, as well as Walker's fantasy owners, as he will be at full strength for the team's season finale Wednesday against the Bulls.
Tue. Apr 15, 2014 | STATS
News: Jefferson had 27 points and 15 rebounds Monday in a win over Atlanta.
Impact: He has eight straight double-doubles and is averaging 29.3 points in his last three.
News: Jefferson posted another double-double in 35 minutes Monday against the Hawks, as he scored 27 points (11-17 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 5-7 FT) to go along with 15 rebounds, one assist and one steal.
Impact: Jefferson has been a monster all season for owners and continued his excellent ways Monday. It's unclear, though, if he'll play limited minutes or not play at all Wednesday against the Bulls.
News: Walker (groin) scored five points (1-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT) to go along with seven assists in 25 minutes Monday against the Hawks.
Impact: Walker's shot was off Monday, and he and most of the starters ended up seeing limited playing time. He could see limited minutes or may not play at all Wednesday against the Bulls.
Bismack Biyombo - #0 - Center - 6'9" - 245lbs
News: Biyombo is averaging 2.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 0.1 assists, 0.1 steals and 1.1 blocks on the season.
Impact: Biyombo has seen consistent minutes throughout the season, but unfortunately for him, his role on the team is rather insignificant. He's only scored more than 10 points during two contests this season, so he's better left on the waiver wire.
Jannero Pargo - #5 - Point Guard - 6'1" - 185lbs
News: Pargo played an average of 17 minutes during his past two games, despite averaging just 8.3 minutes on the season.
Impact: This increased playing time is directly related to Kemba Walker's (groin) injury that has left him sidelined for the past two games. With Walker returning Monday, Pargo will likely go back to spending considerable time on the bench.
News: Walker (groin) emerged from morning shootaround OK and is expected to take the court Monday in Atlanta, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: Sidelined the past two tilts due to a sore groin, Walker is now good to go during the home stretch before the playoffs. The Bobcats can still attain the sixth seed in the East with two wins and a loss by the Wizards, so the point guard should be particularly motivated to produce. In his return, he'll push Luke Ridnour back to the bench.
News: Jefferson scored 29 points (13-19 FG, 3-5 FT) with 12 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks in 36 minutes in the win over Philadelphia on Saturday.
Impact: Jefferson has been on fire over the last two games, hitting 29-of-45 (64.4 percent) from the field. He also extended his streak of double-doubles to seven.
News: Ridnour started for the second straight game and had 12 points (4-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT) with eight assists in 31 minutes in the win over Philadelphia on Saturday.
Impact: With Kemba Walker (groin) ailing, Ridnour has been getting big minutes. Ridnour's numbers won't win anyone's league, but he can help in a pinch.
Sat. Apr 12, 2014 | STATS
News: Bobcats coach Steve Clifford says point guard Kemba Walker is sitting out Saturday night's game against the Philadelphia 76ers because of a groin injury. Luke Ridnour will start in Walker's spot, and Jannero Pargo will see additional minutes in a reserve role.
Impact: Walker was injured in Charlotte's loss Friday night to the Celtics in Boston. Clifford says Walker had an MRI on Saturday that showed no serious problems. He hopes to have Walker back on the floor Monday night when the Bobcats travel to face the Atlanta Hawks. Walker is averaging 17.8 points and 6.1 assists per game this season for the Bobcats, currently the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference.
News: Walker (groin) won't suit up Saturday versus the Sixers, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: Walker's sore groin will hold him out of both ends of the Bobcats' current back-to-back set, with his next opportunity to take the floor arriving Monday in Atlanta. In his absence, Luke Ridnour will again handle primary point man duties.
Sat. Apr 12, 2014 | STATS
News: Jefferson finished with 32 points and 10 rebounds while hitting 16 of 26 shots in a 106-103 loss at Boston on Friday.
Impact: Jefferson has averaged 24.8 points and 13.3 rebounds over a season-best run of six straight double-doubles.
News: Jefferson scored a team-high 32 points (16-26 FG) with 10 rebounds and four assists in 39 minutes in the loss to Boston on Friday.
Impact: Jefferson didn't attempt a free throw, which has happened four times since Mar. 1. Nevertheless, he has six straight double-doubles and has taken at least 20 shots in each of the last four.
News: McRoberts had a team-high 10 assists, while also providing nine points (3-5 FG, 3-4 3Pt) and three rebounds in 30 minutes, during the loss to the Celtics on Friday.
Impact: McRoberts was playing in his second game since returning from an ankle injury. Meanwhile, he's playing major minutes and is a really nice passer for a forward.
News: Ridnour started for Kemba Walker (groin) on Friday in the loss at Boston. In 31 minutes, Ridnour provided nine points (4-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt), five assists, and three steals.
Impact: Ridnour is a known quantity in the NBA and has a low ceiling. If Walker remains out, Ridnour could be a cheap source of assists and 3-pointers.
News: Ridnour will get the start Friday against the Celtics with Kemba Walker (groin) out of the lineup, CSN Northeast reports.
Impact: The veteran will make his first start since being dealt to Charlotte from Milwaukee at the trade deadline. Ridnour played just nine minutes off the bench Wednesday, failing to score while missing both of his free-throw attempts. The stage is set to see significant minutes, though, as he's one of only a couple active players capable of handling point-guard duties.
News: Walker (groin) won't play Friday versus the Celtics, CSN Northeast reports.
Impact: Walker was initially listed as questionable after his groin injury flared up during Wednesday's contest. With a playoff spot secured, the team will hold him out, meaning Luke Ridnour will slot in as the starter. Consider Walker questionable for Saturday's tilt against the Sixers.
News: Walker is listed as questionable to play Friday versus the Celtics due to a sore groin, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: Walker's groin flared up late in Wednesday's game, which could force him to sit out Friday's contest to avoid further discomfort ahead of the playoffs. Should that prove to be the case, veteran Luke Ridnour could start at point guard, with some combination of Gary Neal and Jannero Pargo potentially assuming backup duties.
D.J. White - #8 - Power Forward - 6'9" - 250lbs
Thu. Apr 10, 2014 | RotoWire
News: White signed with the Bobcats for the rest of the season Thursday.
Impact: Since inking his initial 10-day deal with the Bobcats in the latter half of March, White has appeared in two of nine contests, totaling no points (0-1 FG), two rebounds, and one steal in 10 minutes. He'll supply frontcourt insurance for the team's upcoming showing in the postseason.
Wed. Apr 9, 2014 | STATS
News: Jefferson had 20 points and 18 rebounds Wednesday in an overtime win over Washington.
Impact: Jefferson is averaging 24.3 points and 16.3 rebounds in his last three games.
News: Walker (ankle) tallied 17 points (6-21 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and 12 assists in 44 minutes of play versus Washington on Wednesday.
Impact: Walker tweaked his ankle a bit during Saturday's game, but played without limitation Wednesday evening. While the point guard struggled with his shots from inside the arc, he managed to hit 50 percent of his attempts from long-range. Also, his 12 dimes helped compensate for a poor field goal percentage.
News: McRoberts (ankle) returned from a three-game absence to score 12 points (5-12 FG, 2-8 3Pt) in 34 minutes against the Wizards on Wednesday night.
Impact: McRoberts reclaimed his starting power forward position and topped his season scoring average by netting 12 points. However, the versatile big man wasn't very efficient from deep (2-8 3Pt) and only managed a pair of both rebounds and assists. Nonetheless, the Bobcats and fantasy owners should be happy to have McRoberts back in the fold.
Cody Zeller - #40 - Forward-Center - 7'0" - 240lbs
News: Zeller will move back to the bench with Josh McRoberts (ankle) returning to the starting lineup Wednesday versus Washington, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: Though his stay in the starting lineup was short-lived, Zeller played well in his three-game run, averaging 9.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting 60.0 percent from the field. He averaged nearly 30 minutes per game over that span, and his playing time should regress back into the upper-teens with McRoberts rejoining the rotation.
News: McRoberts (ankle) will play and start Wednesday versus the Wizards, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: After missing the last three games with a sprained ankle, McRoberts will regain his role as the Bobcats' starting power forward. His return will push rookie Cody Zeller back to a bench role.
Tue. Apr 8, 2014 | RotoWire
News: McRoberts (ankle) is expected to play Wednesday versus the Wizards, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: McRoberts has missed the Bobcats' past three games with a sprained ankle, but coach Steve Clifford is confident he'll be available for Wednesday's contest. Should that prove to be the case, rookie Cody Zeller would likely yield Charlotte's starting power forward spot to McRoberts.

News: Jefferson had 24 points and 15 rebounds Saturday in an overtime win over Cleveland.
Impact: Jefferson has four straight double-doubles and is averaging 25.3 points and 12.5 rebounds in his last six.
Sun. Apr 6, 2014 | STATS
News: Bobcats coach Steve Clifford says he expects McRoberts to return for Wednesday night's game against the Washington Wizards.
Impact: McRoberts has missed the last three games with a sprained left ankle. Clifford said McRoberts felt "a lot better" during Tuesday's practice and "I would be confident that he'd be able to play" against Washington.
Sat. Apr 5, 2014 | STATS
News: Jefferson had 29 points and 16 rebounds in Friday's win over Orlando.
Impact: He's averaging 25.6 points and 12.0 rebounds in his last five games.
