News: Taylor started for the Bobcats Wednesday after missing Monday's game with a heel injury. He scored eight points (3-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT) with one rebound and two assists in 31 minutes.
Impact: As long as he can stay healthy, Taylor will continue to fill in for Micheal Kidd-Gilchrist (hand). The Vanderbilt product should see plenty of minutes and shot attempts going forward, and could be a useful player for fantasy owners in need of a small forward, until Kidd-Gilchrist returns.

News: Biyombo (ankle) is expected to play in Friday's game against the Pacers, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: Biyombo has missed two games after spraining his ankle last Friday, but head coach Steve Clifford believes he will be able to suit up Friday night against Indiana.
News: Walker struggled offensively Wednesday, scoring just 10 points (4-18 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), but provided four blocks and three steals on the defensive end versus Orlando.
Impact: Walker, coming off a 31-point outburst in his last outing, could not find the mark Wednesday, shooting just 22 percent and turning the ball over five times as well. While his offensive game failed to produce much, Walker's defensive exploits salvaged some fantasy value and his four blocks were a career-high.
News: Douglas-Roberts could play up to 15 minutes on Wednesday if needed, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: Douglas-Roberts was called up from the D-League on Tuesday to add depth to a shorthanded Bobcats lineup. He will likely only see 15 minutes if the Bobcats really need him but they do expect him to be up to speed for Friday's game.
News: Taylor (heel) will play and start for the Bobcats on Wednesday, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: Taylor missed the Bobcats' game on Monday but the heel injury won't keep him out any longer. His return is needed with the injury to Michael Kidd-Gilchrist so look for Taylor to get a healthy amount of minutes on Wednesday.
Wed. Dec 11, 2013 | STATS
News: The the Bobcats signed Douglas-Roberts from the D-League's Texas Legends.
Impact: Douglas-Roberts averaged 18.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 34 minutes in six games for the Legends. He has played in 161 career games for the Nets, Bucks and Mavericks and averaged 7.5 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 20.3 minutes. He's shot 44 percent from the field for his career and 83 percent from the free throw line.
James Southerland - #31 - Small Forward - 6'8" - 215lbs
News: The Bobcats will waive Southerland, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: Charlotte will let go of Southerland to make room for Chris Douglas-Roberts. Southerland suited up for just three minutes for the Bobcats.
News: Biyombo (ankle) is out for Wednesday's game against Orlando.
Impact: Biyombo practiced Tuesday, so he might be able to make his return against Indiana on Friday. Biyombo isn't playing many minutes this year, so his absence shouldn't change much.
News: Taylor (heel) is expected to play against Orlando on Wednesday.
Impact: Coming off a 20-point, eight-rebound game against Philadelphia, there's reason to like Taylor's chances of providing numbers while Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is out for Charlotte. His low field-goal percentage of 39.2 indicates he could be a liability in that category, but minutes shouldn't be a problem.
News: Douglas-Roberts will be called up from the D-League by the Bobcats, ESPN's Marc Stein reports.
Impact: The Bobcats will bring CDR up from the Texas Legends of the D-League, where he was averaging 18.7 points and 4.3 rebounds in 34 minutes per game. He is likely to just fill a depth role off the bench with the Bobcats shorthanded on the wing right now.
News: Biyombo (ankle) returned to practice Tuesday but remains very questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Magic, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: Biyombo's sprained right ankle kept him sidelined during Monday's win against the Warriors, and his status for Wednesday will remain unknown until he takes part in morning shootaround. If he remains on the pine, Jeff Adrien will join Cody Zeller as the primary frontcourt reserves.
News: Taylor (heel) returned to practice Tuesday but remains questionable for Wednesday's game against the Magic, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: Taylor's inflamed heel held him to the pine during Monday's victory versus the Warriors, but if he does come back Wednesday, he'll likely enter the starting five for Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (hand), depending upon his own health of course.
Ben Gordon - #8 - Shooting Guard - 6'3" - 200lbs
News: Gordon put up a season-high 12 points to go with two steals, one rebound and one assist in 14 minutes during Monday's win versus the Warriors.
Impact: Gordon still isn't a viable option for most leagues. He has played the last five games with the Bobcats but only played one game before that. Wait for Gordon to earn more minutes, before he is considered for a fantasy role.
Gerald Henderson - #9 - Guard-Forward - 6'5" - 215lbs
News: Henderson scored 24 points (11-23 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT) to go along with three rebounds, one assist and one block Monday against the Warriors.
Impact: Henderson has stepped up his offensive production of late, averaging 18.8 points over his last five games, which is a nice bump from his season average of 15.2 points per game. He is not going to contribute much from behind the arc but is averaging a career-high 4.6 rebounds this season.
News: Walker scored 31 points (10-18 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 9-11 FT) to go along with five rebounds and five assists Monday against the Warriors.
Impact: Walker has averaged 23.0 points and 2.0 three-pointers over his last four games, while continuing to be one of the Bobcats' main offensive threats. Owners will have to live with his poor field goal percentage, but he is still a very productive option at point guard.
News: Biyombo is out Monday night for Charlotte with a right ankle sprain.
Impact: Charlotte coach Steve Clifford says ''if anyone else gets hurt I'll have to play. And that won't be pretty.''
News: Bobcats coach Steve Clifford says Anthony Tolliver will start at small forward Monday night against the Golden State Warriors.
Impact: Tolliver replaces Jeffery Taylor, who is out with a left heel contusion. Taylor took over as the Bobcats starter at small forward last week after Michael Kidd-Gilchrist broke his left hand. Kidd-Gilchrist is out four to six weeks; Taylor is day to day.
Jeffery Taylor - #44 - Guard-Forward - 6'7" - 225lbs
News: Bobcats coach Steve Clifford says Anthony Tolliver will start at small forward Monday night against the Golden State Warriors. Tolliver replaces Jeffery Taylor, who is out with a left heel contusion.
Impact: Taylor took over as the Bobcats starter at small forward last week after Michael Kidd-Gilchrist broke his left hand. Kidd-Gilchrist is out four to six weeks; Taylor is day to day.
News: Tolliver will start at small forward Monday, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact: Tolliver has averaged 11.4 points and 6.3 rebounds in 45 career starts. In his one other start for the Bobcats this season, he played 26 minutes, putting up 11 points, one rebound, one assist, one steal and one block.
News: Tolliver is expected to start Monday with both Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (hand) and Jeff Taylor (heel) out.
Impact: If both Taylor and Kidd-Gilchrist remain out, Tolliver could have some value for the time being.
News: Biyombo (ankle) will miss Monday's game against the Warriors.
Impact: Biyombo sat out Sunday's practice after suffering an ankle sprain in his right foot Friday. Look for Cody Zeller to see increased minutes in his absence.
News: Taylor (heel) will sit out Monday's tilt against the Warriors.
Impact: Taylor will be forced to sit out Monday's game after coming off a 20-point performance Friday. Anthony Tolliver will likely start in his place with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (hand) still hurt.
News: Biyombo (ankle) is doubtful for Monday's game against the Warriors, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: Biyombo sprained his right ankle Friday, which held him out of Sunday's practice. Nevertheless, he's logged more than 11 minutes just once during the past five contests, averaging 3.4 points (on 77.8 percent shooting) and six boards in 11.6 minutes.
News: Taylor (heel) is questionable to play Monday against the Warriors, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: According to the report, Taylor was "highly limited" in Sunday's practice and is uncertain for Monday. If Taylor is unable to go, the Bobcats will be left very thin at the small forward position, with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (hand) also out of action. Anthony Tolliver would presumably get the start.
News: Biyombo (ankle) did not take part in Sunday's practice, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: A sprained ankle forced Biyombo from Friday's game, and his chances of playing Monday look slim at this point. Cody Zeller figures to be the biggest benefactor in terms of playing time if Biyombo does sit.
News: Walker scored 18 points (6-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT) with a season-high 10 assists and three steals in the win over the 76ers on Friday.
Impact: Walker struggled with his shot for the majority of November and finished the month with a 36.5 percent field goal percentage. In three December games, he has hit 46 percent of his shots. He could be a decent trade target and has only committed one foul in his last five games.
News: Taylor started from Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (hand) Friday and had 20 points (8-16 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and eight boards in the win over Philadelphia.
Impact: Taylor only played three minutes in the loss to Dallas on Tuesday, but moved into the starting lineup and played a season-high 37 minutes. Fantasy owners looking for a small forward who will offer points, rebounds, and 3-pointers might want to snap up Taylor.
Gerald Henderson - #9 - Guard-Forward - 6'5" - 215lbs
News: Henderson had 18 points (6-14 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-8 FT) with three boards, four assists, and two assists in the win over the 76ers on Friday.
Impact: Henderson has emerged as a consistent offensive force for the Bobcats. The former Blue Devil has averaged 17.5 points and hit 52 percent (26-of-50) of his field goals in his last four games.
News: Biyombo sprained his ankle Friday against the Sixers and is doubtful to return.
Impact: Biyombo hasn't been producing much fantasy value, and his absence could result in extended minutes for rookie Cody Zeller.
Thu. Dec 5, 2013 | RotoWire
News: Taylor will take over as the Bobcats' starting small forward while Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (hand) is sidelined, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: Taylor has not received many shots lately and played just three minutes in Charlotte's last game Tuesday, but he will play a much bigger role in the short term with Kidd-Gilchrist out 4-to-6 weeks. Taylor is not a very efficient shooter and does not provide much defensively, but he did reach double figures seven times in an eight-game stretch earlier this season.
Wed. Dec 4, 2013 | RotoWire
News: Kidd-Gilchrist will miss four-to-six weeks with a fracture in his left hand, the team's official site reports.
Impact: Kidd-Gilchrist is averaging just 9.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in 26.7 minutes of action so his fantasy value won't be missed too much. In Kidd-Gilchrist's absence, expect Jeff Taylor to see an increase in minutes at the small forward position for the Bobcats.
Tue. Dec 3, 2013 | STATS
News: Kidd-Gilchrist fractured his left hand in a loss to Dallas and coach Steve Clifford isn't sure when the second-year player will be back.
Impact: Kidd-Gilchrist said he didn't know he was injured Tuesday night until he looked down and his left ring finger "was messed up." He was replaced with 4:35 remaining in the third quarter of the Mavericks' 89-82 win over the Bobcats. Kidd-Gilchrist is averaging 9.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
News: Walker scored 16 points (7-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt) to go with seven rebounds, five assists and one block in Tuesday's loss to the Mavericks.
Impact: Walker's shooting percentage over the last two games has been an improvement, but he's still making less than 38 percent of his shots on the year. Walker did provide some additional value with his seven rebounds Tuesday, which was his highest rebounding mark in almost three weeks. This type of production makes him valuable in all leagues despite his poor shooting percentage.
News: Tolliver scored three points (1-5 FG, 1-5 3Pt) and added three rebounds in 26 minutes Tuesday.
Impact: While Tolliver's production Tuesday wasn't anything spectacular, it is important to note that he saw additional minutes off the bench when Michael Kidd-Gilchrist suffered a broken hand. Tolliver certainly has a chance to increase his value while Kidd-Gilchrist remains out, so fantasy owners should keep a close eye on this situation.
News: Jefferson scored 19 points (6-10 FG, 7-10 FT) to go with 12 rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 38 minutes Tuesday.
Impact: As long as Jefferson remains healthy, his future output is likely to look similar to his production Tuesday, making him a force to be reckoned with in all fantasy formats.
News: Kidd-Gilchrist broke his left hand Tuesday in a loss to the Mavericks, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: Kidd-Gilchrist has not produced much over the Bobcats' last 10 games, so it's not a huge loss for fantasy owners. With this injury, Kidd-Gilchrist will likely be out a few weeks, but we'll continue to track his progress.
Mon. Dec 2, 2013 | STATS
News: Jefferson turned in his second consecutive double-double and third of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds in Sunday's loss to Miami.
Impact: After dealing with an ankle injury earlier in the season, Jefferson appears to be establishing a nice rhythm, averaging 18.3 points and 11.3 rebounds on 53.2 percent field-goal shooting over his last three contests.
Mon. Dec 2, 2013 | STATS
News: Walker scored 28 in Sunday's loss to Miami.
Impact: Walker is averaging 17.8 points on 41.5 percent shooting over his last six games, which is actually higher than his 37.6 field goal percentage on the season as a whole.
Dec 1, 2013 | RotoWire
News: Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) returned to the starting lineup Sunday and scored six points (1-2 FG, 4-4 FT) to go along with five rebounds over 24 minutes of action.
Impact: Kidd-Gilchrist nearly reached his season average of 27 minutes Sunday, showing that the plantar fasciitis he has been dealing with couldn't have been holding him back too much. In his sophomore campaign, he's posting modest averages of 9.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks per game.
Sat. Nov 30, 2013 | RotoWire
News: Taylor will likely return to his bench role Sunday as Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) appears ready to re-enter the starting lineup, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: Taylor had gotten the start Friday with MKG out with plantar faciitis, but it seems the Bobcats are comfortable with giving Kidd-Gilchrist his starting job back, despite his offensive shortcomings. Taylor is still the more preferable fantasy option out of the two players, but this is a hit to his value.
Sat. Nov 30, 2013 | RotoWire
News: Kidd-Gilchrist (plantar fasciitis) fully participated in practice Saturday and the plan is for him to start in Sunday's game against Miami, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: This hurts Jeffrey Taylor's value more than it helps MKG's value, as the former No. 2 overall pick has been so terrible on offense that he isn't startable in many formats.
Sat. Nov 30, 2013 | STATS
News: Jefferson had 23 points and 12 rebounds in Friday's 92-76 win over Milwaukee.
Impact: Jefferson's double-double was just his second of the season. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.
Fri. Nov 29, 2013 | STATS
News: Kidd-Gilchrist returned Sunday night for Charlotte with six points and five boards.
Impact: Kidd-Gilchrist had a right foot injury.
News: Walker went ice cold from the field Friday against the Bucks, scoring just 10 points on 3-for-10 shooting. He added five rebounds, two assists, and six turnovers in 32 minutes of action.
Impact: Walker is on a mini-slump as he is shooting just 6-for-27 from the field over his last two games. He has never been a good field-goal percentage contributor over his career, but his production in other categories make him valuable in all leagues.
News: Jefferson had a double-double with 23 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 26 minutes of action Friday against the Bucks.
Impact: Jefferson has been steadily getting back to form, as the big man has averaged 18.0 points and 7.8 rebounds over his last four games. He should continue to improve as long as he stays healthy.
News: Biyombo score seven points and grabbed 14 rebounds in 20 minutes of action Friday against the Bucks.
Impact: Biyombo is averaging just 4.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 0.9 blocks per game this season, and should only be a consideration in deep leagues.
Fri. Nov 29, 2013 | STATS
News: Kidd-Gilchrist will sit out Friday night's game against the Milwaukee Bucks with plantar fasciitis in his right foot.
Impact: Kidd-Gilchrist spent Thursday with his foot in a boot and that last year's No. 2 overall draft pick wasn't able to participate in Friday morning's shoot around. It's unclear how long Kidd-Gilchrist will be out. Coach Steve Clifford says he'll be evaluated on a day-to-day basis.
News: Taylor will start Friday against the Bucks.
Impact: Taylor has been solid at times this season, and could have an opportunity to contribute in deeper leagues if Kidd-Gilchrist (foot) misses some time.
News: Kidd-Gilchrist will not play Friday with plantar fasciitis in his right foot. Jeffrey Taylor will start in his place.
Impact: Kidd-Gilchrist hasn't been the most consistent player this year from a fantasy perspective, and news of plantar fasciitis certainly doesn't bode well for his fantasy value. With a lingering injury such as this, he may have issues all season with consistency. While the severity of the injury is not known for now, there is the potential for Kidd-Gilchrist to struggle with this for quite a while.
News: Updating a previous report, Kidd-Gilchrist has plantar fasciitis in his right foot, leaving him "highly questionable" for Friday's game against the Bucks, the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell reports.
Impact: This is not great news, as plantar fasciitis has a tendency to be a problematic, lingering injury. Even when players feel like they can play through the pain, the injury often robs them of their usual explosiveness and stability. Making matters worse, the problem is notorious for recurring, even after extended periods of rest. All of this is general information - we don't know much about the severity of Kidd-Gilchrist's specific injury - but the potential is there for this to become a long-term headache for the second-year player. For now, he is simply questionable for Friday's game against the Bucks.
News: Bobcats coach Steve Clifford said Kidd-Gilchrist has a foot injury and is "highly questionable" for Friday's game against Milwaukee, the Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell reports.
Impact: The Bobcats host the Bucks at 7:00pm ET on Friday, and we may not know more about Kidd-Gilchrist's status until closer to tipoff. The second-year player is averaging just 9.5 points and 5.4 rebounds per game this season, though he has seen a major bump in his accuracy from the field over his rookie campaign and is connecting on 50.9 percent of his field-goal attempts.
Wed. Nov 27, 2013 | RotoWire
News: Walker had a poor shooting night Wednesday scoring 15 points (3-17 FG, 7-7 FT, 2-4 3Pt) to go along with five rebounds, three assists and two steels.
Impact: It is not uncommon for Walker to have shooting performances like this one considering that his season average is 38.7 percent. This should come as no surprise for his fantasy owners this season and the past two years. Young players tend to increase their field goal percentage after their first couple seasons, but it appears that Walker's poor percentage is here to stay.
Wed. Nov 27, 2013 | RotoWire
News: Jefferson scored 16 points (7-15 FG, 2-4 FT) to go along with nine rebounds, two assists and three blocks in 32 minutes Wednesday.
Impact: Jefferson has had a disappointing start to his inaugural season in Charlotte. This was his fourth game played in a row which shows progression moving forward. If Jefferson doesn't face any setbacks, his production on the court could continue to improve since he has only played in seven games this season.
Tue. Nov 26, 2013 | STATS
News: Walker scored 28 points on 11-of-17 shooting in Monday's 96-86 loss to Boston.
Impact: Walker is starting to heat up, posting 21.5 points over his last four games.
