News: Zeller provided just 5.7 points and 4.0 rebounds in 70 games (and nine starts) in his second year in Cleveland.
Impact: Zeller was stuck behind Andrew Bynum and then Spencer Hawes, so he had to claw for backup minutes. Zeller did have a pair of 20-point games in the last month of the season, but he looks like a career backup center at this point.
Sat. Apr 19, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Waiters averaged 15.9 points and 3.0 assists in 70 games with the Cavaliers in his second season in the league. He improved his 3-point percentage to 36.8 percent.
Impact: Waiters took off while Kyrie Irving was out with a biceps injury and averaged 19.3 points in 22 games after the All-Star break. Whether he can score for a winning team and/or co-exist with Irving are big questions. Waiters is on his rookie contract, which can be extended to 2015-16.
Sat. Apr 19, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Varejao played 65 games, his most since the 2009-10 seaspm, but only averaged 27.7 minutes with 8.4 points and 9.7 rebounds in his 10th season in the league.
Impact: Varejao played very well in January when he averaged 10.8 points and 13.8 rebounds in 13 games. He missed the majority of February, though, with a back injury. The Cavaliers have a team option for $9.8 million for 2014-15, which will be an interesting decision for the only team that Varejao has ever played for.
Sat. Apr 19, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Thompson mirrored his 2012-13 numbers with 11.7 points and 9.2 rebounds in 31.6 minutes in his third year with the Cavaliers. He switched hands before the season and improved his free throw percentage to 69.3 percent.
Impact: Thompson started all 82 games for the second straight season, so one could point to his health as a good point. He may never be an elite fantasy power forward, but he's a pretty good rebounder. Thompson is signed for another year with a qualifying offer for 2015-16.
Sat. Apr 19, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Miles provided limited offense off the bench in the first half of the season but missed the majority of the second half with an ankle injury. He averaged 9.9 points and 1.6 3-pointers on 39.3 percent from deep.
Impact: Miles did start 34 games as a small forward for the Cavaliers, as coach Mike Brown tried (and failed) to find a winning starting lineup. An unrestricted free agent after the season, Miles could provide a bench scorer for a winning team.
Sat. Apr 19, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Karasev played in 22 minutes in his rookie season and provided 1.7 points in 7.1 minutes.
Impact: The two points in the Russian's favor are that he's big (6-7) and young (20 years old). If he can put in a good summer with the team, he could find a role as a scorer off the bench.
Sat. Apr 19, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Jack averaged 9.5 points and 4.1 assists in 28.2 minutes in his first season with the Cavaliers. He started 31 games while Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters were injured.
Impact: The plan was for Jack to play with Irving and Waiters like he had with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in 2012-13. It didn't happen, though, and Jack never found a consistent role. The 30-year-old guard is signed for three more seasons.
Sat. Apr 19, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Irving averaged 20.8 points and 6.1 assists in 35.2 minutes in his third year with the Cavaliers. He played in a career-high 71 games but saw his field goal percentage (43 percent) and 3-point percentage (35.8 percent) fell off.
Impact: While Irving's season may have seemed like a disappointment, his overall numbers were not wholly different from his second season. It remains to be seen whether he'll sign a contract extension with Cleveland this summer, before he becomes a restricted free agent after his fourth season. He remains one of the game's best fourth-quarter scorers who can get hot and lead his team to victory, but that doesn't happen often enough.
Sat. Apr 19, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Gee, who started all 82 games for the 2012-13 Cavaliers, saw his minutes halved to 15.7 in 2013-14. He averaged four points and 2.3 rebounds.
Impact: At his best, Gee is a plus defender who can occasionally score in the teens. As evidence, he averaged slightly more than 10 points in over 140 games with Cleveland from 2011 to 2013. However, Gee could lose even more playing time to Carrick Felix next year, with a non-guaranteed contract in hand.
Sat. Apr 19, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Felix, who missed nearly half of the season with a broken kneecap, appeared in seven games with the Cavaliers. He averaged 2.7 points in 5.4 minutes.
Impact: Felix was a defensive dynamo at Arizona State but never got to show off his perimeter skills with Cleveland. He bounced between the Cavaliers and Canton of the D-League. With a good summer, he could find himself in a reserve role in his second year with the Cavaliers.
Sat. Apr 19, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Deng's numbers fell off after getting traded to Cleveland for Andrew Bynum. He provided just 14.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 33.8 minutes with the Cavaliers.
Impact: Deng heads into the summer as an unrestricted free agent, and there were rumbles that he was not very happy in his 40-game stint in Cleveland. The 29-year-old forward has a lot of minutes on his body, and it will be interesting to see which teams are interested in him and where he ends up. His most productive days may be behind him.
Sat. Apr 19, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Dellavedova, an undrafted rookie from St. Mary's, found a consistent role off the Cavaliers' bench, providing 4.7 points and 2.6 assists in 17.7 minutes per game.
Impact: Dellavedova was one of the few Cleveland perimeter players who really tried on defense. He averaged 6.2 points and 3.9 assists in 22 minutes after the All-Star break. While those were not fantasy-relevant numbers, he could work himself into a decent option in deeper leagues. His 2014-15 contract becomes guaranteed if he isn't waived before July 25.
Sat. Apr 19, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Bennett averaged 4.2 points on 35.6 percent from the field in 12.8 minutes in his rookie season with the Cavaliers. The top pick of the 2013 draft played in 52 games.
Impact: Bennett opened the season poorly and had very few highlights while the Cavaliers struggled to find a consistent role for him. It remains to be seen if Bennett can play with his fellow Canadian, Tristan Thompson. With a wide variety of useful skills, namely rebounding and outside shooting, Bennett bears monitoring after a full summer with the team.
Sat. Apr 19, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Hawes had something of a breakout season, despite playing for two losing teams in 2013-14. After moving to Cleveland, he provided 13.5 points, 1.7 3-pointers (on 44.8 percent), and 7.7 rebounds in 29.8 minutes per game.
Impact: Hawes also played well for the 76ers before getting traded from a tanking Philadelphia team. He hit 41.6 percent of his 3-pointers on the season and could be a valuable stretch-5 for a team. The seven-footer is an unrestricted free agent.
Sat. Apr 19, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Edwards, who appeared in two games with the Cavaliers, returned to the Canton Charge of the NBDL to finish the season.
Impact: Edwards, a small forward from Arkansas-Little Rock, had two points in 10 minutes in a Mar. 20 loss to Oklahoma City. He will hope to use the D-league playoffs to open up some eyes.
Sat. Apr 19, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Curry didn't sign a second 10-day contract with the Cavaliers and returned to the D-League's Warriors, where he scored 44 points in a D-League playoff game.
Impact: Curry only appeared in one game in his time in Cleveland. He also appeared in one game with Memphis this season and could use a strong Summer League to get on an NBA roster.
Thu. Apr 17, 2014 | STATS
News: Tyler Zeller scored 22 points with 11 rebounds, helping Cleveland to a 114-85 over a depleted Brooklyn team on Wednesday night.
Impact: Zeller was 9 of 11 from the field and 4 of 5 from the free throw line in the victory.
Wed. Apr 16, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Zeller posted 22 points (9-11 FG, 4-5 FT) with 11 rebounds in the win over Brooklyn on Wednesday.
Impact: Zeller put up his nice numbers against the second and third stringers of the Nets, but it was good to see him finish his second season on an upswing. In his last five games, he averaged 13.6 points on 65.9 percent from the field and 7.6 rebounds.
Wed. Apr 16, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Bennett (knee) returned to the court for the first time since Mar. 8 and had seven points (3-6 FG, 1-2 FT) and seven rebounds in 15 minutes in the win over Brooklyn on Wednesday.
Impact: Bennett had a rough first season in Cleveland. He was buried on the depth chart and the team would not let the first overall pick get experience in the D-League. He should be able to get into better shape this summer and compete for more minutes in his second year in the league.
Wed. Apr 16, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Felix played for the first time in 38 games after breaking his kneecap in the season finale win over the Nets on Wednesday. He had 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt) and three assists in 12 minutes.
Impact: With the injury and the Cavaliers' more veteran depth at wing, the rookie from Arizona State did not get much of an opportunity (six games) to play in Cleveland. Monitor his progress over the summer because the defensive specialist could get more minutes next year, particularly if Luol Deng leaves the Cavs.
Wed. Apr 16, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Felix (knee) will be available Wednesday against the Nets, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Impact: A left patellar stress fracture has kept Felix out of the lineup since early January, but the 2013 second-round pick will have an opportunity to return in the final game of the season. Felix spent part of the season with the Canton Charge of the D-League and has appeared in just six games for the Cavs.
Wed. Apr 16, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Bennett (knee) is available to play Wednesday against the Nets, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Impact: Bennett has not played since Mar. 8 while dealing with a left patellar tendon strain, but after participating in Tuesday's practice, he'll be available to make his return to the court. After a slow start to the season pushed him out of the rotation, Bennett rebounded, somewhat, in the month of February, averaging 7.2 points and 4.8 rebounds while shooting 44.2 percent from the field. It's not likely he'll see extended minutes Wednesday, but at least the 2013 first overall pick will an opportunity to conclude the season on a high note.
Wed. Apr 16, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Miles (ankle) will not play in the Cavs' season finale Wednesday, the News-Herald reports.
Impact: Miles was only able to play in 51 games this season, has he sustained a severely sprained ankle in mid-February that caused him to miss a lot of time. He averaged 9.9 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 19.3 minutes per game this season.
Wed. Apr 16, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Felix (knee) could play in the Cavs' regular season finale, The News-Herald reports.
Impact: Felix last played in a game on Jan. 7, so the fact that he could go for the final is surprising. He isn't a huge contributor for the team anyway, but another guy off the bench is good for any team.
Wed. Apr 16, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Bennett (knee) could play Wednesday after participating in the team's contact practice on Tuesday, The News-Herald reports.
Impact: Bennett hasn't played in a game since March 8, but he could take the floor for the team's season finale. The game has no purpose for the team, so they wouldn't risk Bennett's future health at this point. He will look to live up to the first overall draft status in 2014-15 after a disappointing rookie season.

News: Deng has won the J. Walter Kennedy Award, given annually to an NBA player for community service.
Impact: Deng has had a long commitment to philanthropic work in his native South Sudan. His recent public service announcement for EnoughProject.org urges peace in his homeland. Deng also established a charitable foundation in Britain, which granted his family political asylum. Cavs coach Mike Brown says Deng's award is ''well-deserved. He has an amazing story.'' Deng says he's honored to receive the award, which is named after the league's second commissioner and has been handed out since 1975.
Mon. Apr 14, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Deng (back ) will miss Wednesday's season finale, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Impact: The Cavaliers don't have anything left to play for, so there's no reason to get Deng in the lineup if he is still sore. Deng, who will become a free agent this summer, averaged 14.3 points and 5.1 rebounds in 40 games with the Cavaliers this season.
Sun. Apr 13, 2014 | STATS
News: Deng missed Cleveland's game on Saturday versus Boston because of a sore back.
Impact: His status for the season finale versus Brooklyn on April 16 is unknown.
Sat. Apr 12, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Irving scored 15 points (3-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 8-8 FT) in 31 minutes in the loss to the Celtics on Saturday.
Impact: Since exploding for 44 points in the overtime loss against the Bobcats last Saturday, Irving has averaged just 11.7 points on 10-of-33 (30.3 percent) from the field. He may be looking toward the offseason, when he can put this rough year behind him.
Sat. Apr 12, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Deng (back) won't play Saturday against the Celtics, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Impact: Deng will miss his second straight game, and Alonzo Gee could start again at the three.
Sat. Apr 12, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Deng (back) is doubtful for Saturday's game against the Celtics, The News Herald reports.
Impact: At this point, it wouldn't surprise us if Deng is done for the season with the Cavs eliminated from playoff contention. After Saturday's game, the Cavs only have Wednesday's tilt against the Nets left on the schedule, so it may be best to look elsewhere for production in single-season leagues.
Sat. Apr 12, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Karasev has been recalled from the D-League for Saturday's game, The News Herald reports.
Impact: Karasev has been back and forth between the Cavs and D-League all season, and when he's up at the NBA level, he rarely sees enough playing time to be of fantasy importance.
Sat. Apr 12, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Dellavedova is expected to be re-signed by Cleveland through 2015, Sportando reports.
Impact: Dellavedova was set to be a free agent after this season, but the team will lock up the Australian rookie to solidify some backcourt depth going forward. He's averaging 4.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists this season.
Sat. Apr 12, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Miles (ankle) is likely out for the rest of the season considering that his recovery process has faced multiple setbacks, the Akron Beacon Journal reports. "I wouldn't be able to help my team unless they told me to just stand in the corner all the time and play four-on-five," he said.
Impact: Miles has logged just two minutes on the court since Feb. 19 against Orlando. If he somehow manages to get on the court during the Cavaliers' final two games, it's highly unlikely that he'll be able to amount significant production.
Sat. Apr 12, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Bennett will likely take part in summer league action in Las Vegas as well as spending time at Cavaliers' training, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Impact: Bennett has had a rough rookie season and has not played in 16 games because of a left patellar tendon strain. It is unclear whether the top pick of the 2013 draft will appear in either of the Cavaliers remaining two games.
Fri. Apr 11, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Jack scored 21 points (7-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT) with four rebounds and two assists in 34 minutes in the loss to the Bucks on Friday.
Impact: Jack had only averaged 7.0 points in his previous three games since Kyrie Irving returned from his biceps injury. He had an effective game against the Bucks' defense, but may drop back to single digits in the Cavs' next game against the Celtics on Saturday.
Fri. Apr 11, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Thompson scored 18 points (5-8 FG, 8-10 FT) with 10 rebounds in 35 minutes in the loss to Milwaukee on Friday.
Impact: Thompson's production has been highly inconsistent of late. He has averaged 12.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in his last five games, but he has a four-point game and two games with less than five boards in that span. He has hit 87 percent of his free throws since the beginning of April.
Fri. Apr 11, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Gee started for Luol Deng (back) and provided nine points (3-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT) with four rebounds in 23 minutes in the loss to the Bucks on Friday.
Impact: Gee, who started all 82 games for Cleveland in 2012-13, has seen limited minutes all season long. His fantasy value is very low because he is mainly a positional defender without much offense.
Fri. Apr 11, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Gee will start Friday at Milwaukee, the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Impact: With Luol Deng out due to a back injury, Gee will start in his place at small forward and should see extended minutes, as long as Deng remains out.
Fri. Apr 11, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Deng (back) is out Friday in Milwaukee, the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Impact: Deng will sit out, after straining his back over a week ago against the Magic. Alonzo Gee will start at small forward in his place.
Thu. Apr 10, 2014 | STATS
News: Dellavedova had 14 points and a career-high 12 assists Wednesday in a win over Detroit.
Impact: The Cavs aren't going to make the playoffs, so he could see some added time in the final games of the season.
Wed. Apr 9, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Zeller scored 18 points (9-11 FG) with six boards and two blocks in 24 minutes in Wednesday's win over Detroit.
Impact: Zeller did the majority of his damage in the second half when the game was safely out of the Pistons' reach. He has scored a combined 12 points in his four previous games. This was likely just a one-game flare up for the second-year backup center.
Wed. Apr 9, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Hawes scored 15 points (6-8 FG, 3-3 3Pt) in just 19 minutes in the win over Detroit on Wednesday. He added eight rebounds and three assists.
Impact: Hawes was able to take a rest in the second half with the Cavaliers holding a nearly unassailable lead. He has hit 58.8 percent of his 3-pointers in his last five games and has averaged 14.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in that span.
Wed. Apr 9, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Deng had 13 points (6-12 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and seven assists in the win over Detroit on Wednesday. He played 25 minutes.
Impact: Deng has not hit a 3-pointer in his last five games and has only averaged 10.8 points on 40.7 percent from the field. With stats like those, he is borderline unplayable in standard-sized leagues. Perhaps Wednesday's nice performance will help him finish the season on an upswing.
Wed. Apr 9, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Dellavedova scored 14 points (5-8 FG, 4-6 3Pt) and had a career-high 12 assists in 31 minutes in the blowout win over the Pistons on Wednesday.
Impact: Dellavedova was able to run the offense in the second half as Cleveland surged out to a big lead by halftime. The undrafted rookie from St. Mary's has found a nice role off the Cavalier bench.
Wed. Apr 9, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Irving provided just eight points (3-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with five rebounds, five assists, and three steals in 23 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Pistons.
Impact: The Cavaliers forged a 32-point lead by halftime, so Irving was able to get plenty of rest in the second half. He was coming off a 44-point performance, but the third-year guard was able to contribute in other areas despite limited playing time. He should bounce back Friday at Milwaukee.
Wed. Apr 9, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Waiters scored a team-high 22 points (9-18 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 0-1 FT) with eight assists in 31 minutes in the win over Detroit on Wednesday.
Impact: Waiters took the lead role for the Cavalier offense, which had one of its better games of the season (hitting 57 percent of their field goals). He equaled his season high in 3-pointers set on Nov. 27 against the Heat.
Wed. Apr 9, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Karasev played seven scoreless (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) minutes with a rebound in the blowout win over the Pistons on Wednesday.
Impact: Playing opportunities for the 6-7 Russian have been few and far between. He has been shuttling back and forth between Cleveland and Canton of the D-League. Karasev is just 20 years old, so he could still have some upside.
Wed. Apr 9, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Bennett did not play for the 14th straight game because of a left patellar tendon strain, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Impact: Bennett started the season on the injured list and it looks like his disappointing rookie season will end at the same place. He will have the summer to get his body and mind in the right place for a comeback in his second season.
Wed. Apr 9, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Miles (ankle) remains out of the lineup and without a timetable to return, NBA.com reports.
Impact: Miles has not played since Feb. 19 due to a severely sprained left ankle. He's participating in some physical activities and took part in the team's shootaround Wednesday, but at this point it seems rather unlikely he returns to the court before the end of the season.
Wed. Apr 9, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Karasev has been recalled from the Canton Charge of the D-League, the News-Herald reports.
Impact: Karasev spent only three days in the D-League before being recalled back to the Cavaliers, where he's spent the majority of the season. The Russian rookie has appeared in 21 games this season but has not seen double-digit minutes since Nov. 29.
Mon. Apr 7, 2014 | STATS
News: Irving and Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon spent the past few days in a media spat, exchanging barbs across TV, Twitter and newspaper. Gordon, who led the NFL with yards receiving last season, fired the first verbal volley last week when he went on ESPN and discussed Irving's problems this season with teammate Dion Waiters. Irving then didn't waste any time in shooting back.
Impact: Irving said he has spoken to Gordon about the comments. "I just let him know that the whole situation kind of got blown out of proportion," Irving said. "There was no disrespect on my end to him or anything he does. I have the utmost respect for him."
Sun. Apr 6, 2014 | STATS
News: Irving scored a career-high 44 points Saturday in an overtime loss to Charlotte.
Impact: It's a substantial individual effort, but the Cavs are just 2-3 when Irving scores 40 or more.
Sat. Apr 5, 2014 | STATS
News: Irving feels he's being unfairly portrayed in the media and is adamant that he's only focused on winning.
Impact: One day after he went on Twitter to defend himself against a report that said he wants out of Cleveland, Irving met with reporters before Saturday's game against the Charlotte Bobcats. Irving said he's been frustrated by a "barrage" of negative reports "all season," saying it's "all nonsense to me."
