News: Nowitzki turned his left ankle in Saturday's game against Phoenix, but went through all of the Mavericks' practice sessions on Monday, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Impact: Nowitzki showed no signs of pain during Monday's practice and he expects to be in the starting lineup for the Mavs' regular season finale on Wednesday against the Grizzlies. Nowitzki missed just 19 seconds in the fourth quarter of Saturday's game after turning his ankle, and eventually finished the game. The ankle seems to be just fine but there is still the off chance that Mavs' coach Rick Carlisle could give Nowitzki the day off on Wednesday.

News: Nowitzki scored 23 points with eight rebounds in Saturday's win over Phoenix. Despite turning his left ankle late in the fourth quarter, he returned to finish the game, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact: Dallas has a three-day break before the team's final game Wednesday at Memphis, so Nowitzki's ankle may not be an issue. However, with Dallas clinching a playoff spot, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him rested in the final game.

News: Calderon played just 17 minutes and went scoreless going 0-3 from the field. He added just one rebound and two assists.
Impact: Calderon was getting torched defensively by Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic and it seems that coach Rick Carlisle preferred a backcourt pairing of Monta Ellis and Devin Harris to combat them. There's no news of any injury, nor was he battling foul trouble, so we'll just chalk this up to a really bad night at the office.
Sat. Apr 12, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Dalembert started Saturday, but managed just six points (2-5 FG, 2-2 FT) and five rebounds with a solitary block in only 14 minutes.
Impact: When matched up against smaller frontcourts, coach Rick Carlisle tends to run with the more atheltic Brandan Wright, reducing Dalembert's effectiveness. In his past four games prior to Saturday, Dalembert had averaged 10.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks, so he should remain a good source of those categories when the Mavs face a more traditional lineup.
Sat. Apr 12, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Wright scored 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-2 FT) with 11 rebounds, one steal and three blocks in 32 minutes Saturday.
Impact: Wright was crucial off the bench in the Mavs' big win, but coach Rick Carlisle tends to only give Wright big minutes when going up against a smaller lineup. The last time Wright eclipsed 20 minutes was against the undermanned Lakers' frontcourt. That makes him a risky play in all but the deepest leagues.

News: Carter could see his minutes ramped up Saturday in a pivotal game against the Suns, the Mavs' official site reports.
Impact: The Mavericks are in a tight battle with Phoenix for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, and Saturday's duel could be a make-or-break affair. Coach Rick Carlisle said Carter, Shawn Marion and Dirk Nowitzki could all see more than their typical workload against the Suns. Carter has only been getting 23 minutes per game over his last five, but that number could creep up to 30-plus Saturday, making him a solid play in daily leagues.
Sat. Apr 12, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Marion could see his minutes ramped up Saturday in a pivotal game against the Suns, the Mavs' official site reports.
Impact: The Mavericks are in a tight battle with Phoenix for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, and Saturday's duel could be a make-or-break affair. Coach Rick Carlisle said Marion, Dirk Nowitzki and Vince Carter could all see more than their typical workload against the Suns. Over his past five games, Marion has been seeing 31.6 minutes per game, but that could tick up to the 35-to-40 minute range against the Suns, making him a strong play in daily leagues.

News: Marion (foot) was able to play 29 minutes in Thursday's game and finished with 12 points, three rebounds, one assist and two blocks.
Impact: Marion was a game-time decision for Thursday's tilt because he experienced some pain in his foot during Tuesday's contest. The Mavericks need all their weapons for their playoff push so Marion will likely continue to play through whatever pain he might have at this point, if any.
Thu. Apr 10, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Ellis (back) recorded 24 points (1-22 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, four assists, and one steal in 38 minutes Thursday.
Impact: Ellis led the team in scoring after being a game-time decision for Thursday. He didn't show any sign of his fall Tuesday by holding his back at all. With the Mavericks battling for a playoff spot, Ellis should continue playing heavy minutes to try and push the team into the postseason.
Thu. Apr 10, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Nowitzki recorded 19 points (8-14 FG, 3-5 FT), six rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 34 minutes Thursday against the Spurs.
Impact: With the Mavericks continuing to fight for a playoff spot as the regular season nears its end, Nowitzki should continue to play as much as possible to try and help his team grab the seventh or eighth seed. He remains a great scorer and has been quite efficient so far in April in addition to providing decent rebounding numbers.
Thu. Apr 10, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Dalembert recorded two points (1-5 FG), 11 rebounds, one assist, and one block in 20 minutes Thursday versus the Spurs.
Impact: While Dalembert is only averaging 6.8 rebounds this season, he has picked up his contributions on the boards lately and grabbed double-digit rebounds in seven of his past 12 games, while only averaging around 20 minutes. He's a good option for rebounds and blocks in most leagues and should continue to receive his normal playing time with the Mavericks fighting for a playoff spot.

Impact: Nowitzki has been on a tear of late, averaging 25.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.4 three-pointers made over the last five games. He's been giving everything he has to get the Mavericks locked into the Playoffs, and that certainly bodes well for owners.
Fri. Apr 4, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Dalembert posted a double-double Friday against the Lakers, adding 14 points (6-9 FG, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds, one steal, and one block in 21 minutes of action.

Fri. Apr 4, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Ellis scored just eight points (3-13 FG, 2-2 FT) in 34 minutes Friday against the Lakers. However, he contributed three rebounds, nine assists, and one steal.
Impact: Ellis may have had a poor shooting night, but that didn't stop him from racking up stats elsewhere. His nine assists were worth having, at the very least, and players as dynamic as Ellis are worth owning in all leagues for their ability to contribute, even when they're cold.
Fri. Apr 4, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Dalembert logged 29 minutes Thursday against the Clippers and posted 12 points, six rebounds, one assist, and two blocks.
Impact: Dalembert played just seven minutes in Tuesday's game, and it came as a surprise considering his strong play of late. Fri. Mar 28, 2014 | STATS
News: Carter scored 23 in Thursday's loss to the Clippers for his highest scoring total in his last 15 games.
Impact: Carter probably shouldn't be in many fantasy lineups considering he's averaging only 12.1 points, but he's also shooting 39.3 percent from deep so you could probably do worse than him if you're an owner seeking a temporary fill-in or replacement for an injured player.
