News: Andris Biedrins (back) will not travel with the Warriors on their two-game road trip this week, according to the Contra Costa Times.
Impact: He is getting closer to returning, but is obviously not there yet. Expect the chances of him returning to get more serious next week.
Mon. Nov 23, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Watson (swine flu) will miss the Warriors' next two games, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: Watson has not rejoined the team and won't make the trip to Texas for games against Dallas and San Antonio. Stephen Curry should continue to see major minutes in Warriors' backcourt while Watson is out.
Sun. Nov 22, 2009 | Fanball
News: The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that Warriors' guard C.J. Watson will not travel to Texas with the team this week due to his bout with the swine flu. Watson will miss at least two more games with the illness.
Impact: The team is being overly cautious with Watson, and rightfully so. He should be out for this week at least, but it seems like he should be able to come back soon after. We will continue to monitor his progress, but he won't be much of a fantasy contributor when he doesn return.
Sat. Nov 21, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Randolph has a nice game off the Warriors' bench on Friday with 15 points, 11 rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots in Friday's win over Portland.
Impact: Randolph played 30 minutes on Friday and is averaging 10.8 points and 7.4 rebounds over his last five games in only 21.0 minutes. It will be interesting to see how Randolph's minutes and production are affected by the imminent return of Andris Biedrins and Ronny Turiaf.
Sat. Nov 21, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Curry scored 12 points, handed out eight assists and grabbed six rebounds in Friday's win over Portland.
Impact: Curry seems to be finding his groove as the Warriors' point guard. He's averaging 13.0 points, 7.3 assists and 1.7 threes made in 40.6 minutes over his last three games.
Sat. Nov 21, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Morrow played 48 minutes on Friday and scored 23 points (4-for-6 from 3-point range) in a win over Portland.
Impact: After coming off the bench on Wednesday, Morrow started at small forward on Friday. He should continue to be a solid source for three and points as long as he continues to receive consistent minutes.
Sat. Nov 21, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ellis stuffed the stat sheet on Friday with 34 points, eight assists, six steals and two blocked shots in a win over Portland.
Impact: Ellis seems to be accepting his leadership role and has been on fire since the Warriors traded Stephen Jackson. He has scored 22 or more points in four of his last five games and is averaging 24.6 points, 5.2 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.0 threes over this stretch.
Sat. Nov 21, 2009 | STATS
News: Making his third straight start, Curry hit 3 of 9 from the field, including 2 of 3 from 3-point range, and scored 12 points in Friday's 108-94 win over Portland.
Impact: Curry also had eight assists and a season-high six rebounds. Curry is averaging 13.3 points and shooting 46.7 percent from long range in his last four contests.
Sat. Nov 21, 2009 | Fanball
News: Anthony Morrow had another nice shooting night Friday as the Warriors topped the Blazers 108-94. Morrow finished with 23 points on 13-of-28 shooting in the win.
Impact: Morrow's value has spiked after the trade of Stephen Jackson, and he is now one of the featured scorers on the team. The shot attempts are becoming more plentiful, so his scoring should see a nice increase as well.
Sat. Nov 21, 2009 | STATS
News: Ellis scored a season-high 34 points, tied his career high with six steals and played stifling defense against Brandon Roy to lead Golden State to a 108-94 victory over the Trail Blazers on Friday night, ending the Warriors' three-game losing streak.
Impact: Ellis, who also had eight assists, did the most damage while recording the 17th 30-point game of his career. He had 19 points in the first half, then scored 11 in the fourth quarter when the Warriors led by as many as 20.
Sat. Nov 21, 2009 | Fanball
News: Monta Ellis led the Warriors to a 108-94 win over the Blazers on Friday. Ellis scored 34 points and dished eight assists in the win.
Impact: Ellis has really taken over since the departure of Stephen Jackson, and he is the best scorer on one of the most potent offenses in the league. He should continue to put up big numbers, so fantasy owners should be very happy that Jackson is now in Charlotte.
Fri. Nov 20, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Hunter played 14 minutes in his debut for the Warriors and started the second half in place of Mikki Moore.
Impact: Hunter was signed by the Warriors on Friday. He's the first player to be called up from the D-League this season. The Warriors' methods are unorthodox, and Hunter could end up with some unexpected value if coach Don Nelson decides to give Hunter big minutes. He had four points (2-of-2 FG), three rebounds, a block and an assist in the Warriors' win over the Blazers on Friday.
Thu. Nov 19, 2009 | STATS
News: Turiaf has missed nine straight games with a sprained left knee.
Impact: He is not with Golden State on its five-game road trip. The Warriors have yet to set a timetable for his return.
Thu. Nov 19, 2009 | Fanball
News: Vladimir Radmanovic has started both games since being traded from the Bobcats to the Warriors. He has totaled 20 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and two three-pointers in those games.
Impact: Vlad's value certainly jumps now that he's a part of the Warriors, but he could lose substantial playing time once Andris Biedrins and Ronny Turiaf return. Teams in deep leagues may consider him as a short-term solution, but nothing more.
Thu. Nov 19, 2009 | Fanball
News: The Contra Costa Times reports that Ronny Turiaf has yet to establish a time table for his return. He has missed all but two games this season with a sprained knee.
Impact: It's too bad Turiaf has missed this stretch as center Andris Biedrins is also injured. In just 21.5 minutes per game last season, Turiaf blocked 2.1 shots per game. There are better options on waivers than an unhealthy Turiaf.
Thu. Nov 19, 2009 | STATS
News: Biedrins will have the back and groin injuries that have kept him out of Golden State's past seven games re-evaluated Monday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Impact: Biedrins wasn't playing like his typical self even when he was on the floor. He averaged 6.0 points and 7.3 rebounds in four games after averaging a double-double (11.9 points, 11.2 boards) last season.
Thu. Nov 19, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ellis played 40 minutes on Wednesday and recorded 18 points, four assists, four rebounds and three steals in a loss to Boston.
Impact: Ellis has played 40 or more minutes in four of the Warriors' last five games. He is averaging 21.0 points, 4.6 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.8 steals during this stretch.
Thu. Nov 19, 2009 | RotoWire
News: In a surprise move, Bell (wrist) played 23 minutes on Wednesday and recorded 11 points (three 3-pointers) and three assists in a loss to Boston, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: The Warriors were in a pinch on Wednesday with only seven healthy bodies and Bell surprised everyone by wanting to play one last game to see if his wrist surgery could be delayed. "I wanted to try to help and see what my hand was going to do one last time before I made a decision," said Bell after Wednesday's game. It turns out that Bell will opt for surgery and could be out for one month or miss the rest of the season depending on the severity of the torn ligament in his wrist.
Thu. Nov 19, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Turiaf (knee) had a good rehabilitation workout before Wednesday's game but is still listed as day-to-day, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact: Turiaf has missed nine games with the injury and a timetable has not been set for his return.
Thu. Nov 19, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Morrow came off the bench on Wednesday and only scored four points in 27 minutes of action.
Impact: Morrow had started the Warriors' last four games but Corey Maggette got the starting nod on Wednesday. Morrow has been struggling lately and has only scored in double figures once in his last five games. He has upside in points and threes and should continue to see decent minutes off the bench since the Warriors only have seven healthy players right now.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | Fanball
News: Corey Maggette poured in a game-high 23 points in tonight's 109-95 loss at Golden State. He also had eight boards, three assists, one steal and one block.
Impact: Maggette is performing well right now, as he averages 22 points over his last five games. He should remain productive as long as he can avoid the injury bug.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Maggette poured in a game-high 23 points, to go along with eight rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block in Wednesday's loss.
Impact: Maggette shot an efficient 8-for-13 from the floor and has reached 20 points in six of the Warriors' nine games this month.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | STATS
News: Bell will have surgery on an injured left wrist and may miss the entire season.
Impact: The Warriors will determine whether Bell can return this season.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ellis' agent is slated to meet with Warriors general manager Larry Riley this week, the San Jose Mercury News reports.
Impact: The article speculates that the meeting could possible be to talk about a trade, though that has not been confirmed. "Whatever they're meeting about, they're meeting about," Ellis said. "I'm not feeding into it. ... I've been saying it (since) training camp. What else you want me to do? I play for the Warriors. The Golden State Warriors. And I'm going to continue to do what I do to help Golden State win." Reports surfaced on Tuesday that the Warriors are actively shopping Ellis, though team sources say Warriors officials are watching closely to see if Ellis assumes a leadership role with the team now that Stephen Jackson has been shipped out of the Bay Area.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | Fanball
News: Warriors' beat writer Marcus Thompson is reporting that center Anthony Randolph saw the fewest minutes of anyone on the team in Tuesday's loss to the Cavs. The team played with only seven players due to injuries and a recent trade with the Bobcats.
Impact: Randolph played fewer minutes last night than Mikki Moore and the newly acquired Vlad Radmanovic, who was in his first game with the team. Randolph still got 13 points and eight boards, but the refusal of Don Nelson to give him regular time is starting to become very frustrating. Don't get impatient, as there is way too much upside for the team to ignore him all season.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Maggette scored 19 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in Tuesday's loss to Cleveland.
Impact: Maggette continues to be a very efficient scorer despite only seeing 25-30 minutes most nights as the Warriors' sixth man. He is averaging 21.7 points and 6.5 rebounds in only 25 minutes over his last four games.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Randolph came off the bench again on Tuesday and scored 13 points (4-for-11 shooting) in a loss to Cleveland.
Impact: The Warriors only had seven healthy players on Tuesday and it has to be a concern to fantasy owners that new addition Vladimir Radmanovic started over Randolph and played ten more minutes. For some reason, Randolph seems to be in Warriors coach Don Nelson's doghouse and you should probably keep him on your bench for now.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Radmanovic started at power forward in his first game with the Warriors and scored 11 points (1-for-6 on threes) in 34 minutes of action.
Impact: In a curious move, Warriors coach Don Nelson chose to start Radmanovic over Anthony Randolph. He missed on five of his six 3-point attempts but did pull down five rebounds. The Warriors are banged up on their frontline so Radmanovic could see solid minutes until Andris Biedrins and Ronny Turiaf return.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Curry was in the starting backcourt on Tuesday and scored 14 points in a loss to Cleveland.
Impact: After only playing a total of 27 minutes in his last two games, Curry was back in the starting lineup and playing major minutes. In his 41 minutes, he also made two 3-pointers, handed out seven assists and grabbed five rebounds. Curry could see 35-plus minutes going forward with C.J. Watson out with the swine flu.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | STATS
News: Maggette continues to play well off the bench, scoring 19 points in Tuesday's loss to Cleveland.
Impact: Maggette, who is averaging 16.3 points, was just 6 of 16 from the field, but he had a season-high 11 rebounds for his first double-double of the season.
Wed. Nov 18, 2009 | STATS
News: With the Warriors shorthanded, Curry started Tuesday night for the seventh time this season.
Impact: Curry had come off the bench the previous three games. He scored 14 points and had seven assists.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | Fanball
News: Rookie Stephen Curry got the start on Tuesday and put up 14 points, five rebounds and seven assists in a 114-108 loss to the Cavs.
Impact: It was reported last week that Curry had lost his starting job, but he played over 41 minutes in this one and had a well-rounded effort. He has back to back 14-point efforts and may be out of the doghouse.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | Fanball
News: Monta Ellis put up a team-high 23 points and eight assists in Tuesday's 114-108 loss to the Cavaliers.
Impact: Ellis had two rebounds, three steals and a blocked shot in the game as well, but only managed to hit nine of his 23 shots and was responsible for four turnovers. Despite the modest shortcomings, Ellis still had a strong game and has now scored at least 22 points in three straight contests.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ellis led all Warriors with 23 points (9-23 FG, 4-4 FT), while adding eight dimes, three steals, and a block in 45 minutes of action.
Impact: Ellis looks to have swiftly put his scuffle with coach Don Nelson on the back burner, as Nelson nearly kept him on the floor the entire contest. He continues to be Golden State's most consistent source of points this season. The eight assists were his most since November 4th.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Morrow was efficient from the field Tuesday, recording 18 points (6-10 FG, 2-2 FT) with three rebounds and one blocked shot.
Impact: Even more impressive were his four 3-pointers, giving him six in his last three games, and 20 for the season. Morrow is proving to be an excellent source of field goal percentage, points, and threes when given minutes.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Radmanovic started at power forward for the Warriors on Tuesday.
Impact: Coach Don Nelson went with his newest player over Anthony Randolph and Corey Maggette. The Warriors only had seven healthy players on Tuesday, so it's hard to gauge how the rotation will eventually pan out.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | Fanball
News: According to ESPN.com, Warriors' guard Monta Ellis has asked his agent to meet with the team to discuss his future. Ellis is not happy with the direction of the organization and his role with the team.
Impact: Ellis and the recently departed Stephen Jackson are best friends, so now that Jackson is gone, Ellis wants out as well. He is not happy, and if his buddy Jackson has taught him anything, he will be out of there before long as well.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Biedrins (back, groin) will be re-evaluated next Monday, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact: Biedrins, who has missed four games thus far because of the injury, has not been with the team as it works its way through a five-game road trip, which ends Wednesday in Boston. In the meantime, with Ronny Turiaf also out, Mikki Moore has picked up a lot of minutes.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | Fanball
News: According to the Twitter page of NBA writer Brian Windhorst, new Warriors' guard Raja Bell will undergo season-ending surgery on his injury wrist. Bell had been putting off the surgery before being traded from Charlotte to Golden State.
Impact: The team had the wrist evaluated, and both sides decided it was time to get the surgery done. Tough break for Bell, but he should be able to come back at 100 percent for next season.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Morrow could be a nice pickup for fantasy owners looking for a little help at the wing positions.
Impact: With the trade of Stephen Jackson and the injuries to both Kelenna Azubuike (knee) and Raja Bell (wrist), Morrow could quickly find himself becoming a bigger option in the Warriors run-and-gun offense. Morrow should have some freedom to shoot and has shown he can make shots; so go get him if you are looking for some help in the scoring/shooting categories.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Bell will have surgery to repair a partially torn ligament in his left wrist, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. He'll miss four or five weeks at a minimum and could miss the entire season if screws are needed to repair the injury. "I'm going into it, assuming it will be a big surgery," Bell said. "If I wake up and it's not, it's icing on the cake. I'm prepared for the worst-case scenario, and I'll go from there."
Impact: The Warriors knew of the possible surgery when they included him in the Stephen Jackson trade, so he's obviously not part of their plans. Wait for confirmation of the surgery, but he can likely be dropped in most formats.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | Fanball
News: Updating a previous report, the Oakland Tribune is confirming that Warriors' forward Kelenna Azubuike will miss the remainder of the 2009-2010 season due to a tear of the patellar tendon in his left knee. Azubuike will undergo surgery on the injury later this week.
Impact: This was the worst-case scenario, and it came true just as the team feared. Buike was averaging 13.9 points and 4.6 rebounds a game, so the team will feel the pain from this one all year. Look for Anthony Randolph, Stephen Curry, and Anthony Morrow to all benefit from this injury.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | RotoWire
News: The Warriors expect Radmanovic to be available for Tuesday's game against Cleveland, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: Radmanovic could see some minutes on Tuesday especially since the Warriors only have seven healthy players.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Bell (wrist) is not expected to play on Tuesday against Cleveland, the Conta Costa Times reports.
Impact: Bell has been playing with a torn ligament in his left wrist and the Warriors want to further evaluate the injury before activating him.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Azubuike (torn patella tendon) will undergo surgery this week and miss the rest of the season, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: The normal recovery time for a torn patella tendon is five to six months. Anthony Morrow, Corey Maggette and Stephen Curry should see increased minutes with Azubuike out and Stephen Jackson traded to Charlotte.
Tue. Nov 17, 2009 | Fanball
News: C.J. Watson has tested positive for swine flu, according to the Associated Press.
Impact: Watson is being treated for the illness, and the Warriors are taking precautions mandated by the NBA. He will not be with the club for Tuesday's game at Cleveland or Wednesday's outing at Boston.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | STATS
News: Watson has tested positive for the swine flu.
Impact: The team said Monday that Watson is being treated for the illness and that the team is taking precautions mandated by the league. Watson will not be with the team for the Warriors' games Tuesday at the Cleveland Cavaliers or Wednesday at the Boston Celtics.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Watson has tested positive for the H1N1 virus, Marc Spears of Yahoo! reports.
Impact: He'll miss at least the next two games. Make sure to move him to your bench.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | Fanball
News: Kelenna Azubuike, who has suffered a patella tendon tear, could be lost for the season, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Impact: If this turns out to be true, coupled with the trade of Stephen Jackson, the Warriors will have lost over 30 points of offense per game in just one day. This being the Warriors and Don Nelson, however, it shouldn't affect their high-flying offense too greatly. While an injury is obviously very bad news for Azubuike, it could be very good news for Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis owners.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | Fanball
News: Defensive stopper Raja Bell has been traded to the Golden State Warriors as part of a deal for disgruntled forward Stephen Jackson, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Impact: While Bell's main contribution to the Warriors will undoubtedly be his defense, he is also an accomplished three-point shooter, and should average around 13 or 14 points per game in Golden State's high-flying offense.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | Fanball
News: Vladimir Radmanovic has been traded to the Golden State Warriors as part of a deal for Stephen Jackson, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Impact: Radmanovic was averaging just 4.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in Charlotte. The numbers are both likely to go up playing in Golden State's up-tempo offense, but not enough to warrant any owns in fantasy.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | STATS
News: The Bobcats sent Radmanovic and guard Raja Bell to the Warriors for guard Stephen Jackson and guard Acie Law.
Impact: Radmanovic was acquired last season in a trade with the Los Angeles Lakers and has not seen much action.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | STATS
News: The Bobcats sent Bell and forward Vladimir Radmanovic to the Warriors for guard Stephen Jackson and guard Acie Law.
Impact: The 33-year-old Bell departs after being acquired by Charlotte from Phoenix in a trade less than a year ago. He's been playing this season with a partially torn ligament in his left wrist and is averaging 12 points. Bell clashed with coach Larry Brown, and should find things better under coach Don Nelson.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Radmanovic and teammate Raja Bell were traded to the Warriors on Monday, in a four-player deal that sent Stephen Jackson and Acie Law to Charlotte, ESPN.com reports.
Impact: Radmanovic came off the bench in Charlotte, and that's likely the role he will play in Golden State. With Kelenna Azubuike being sidelined for a couple months, Radmanavic and Corey Maggette will see an increase in minutes at the small forward position. He was only averaging 4.9 points per game in just over 16 minutes a game in Charlotte, and although we don't expect much change in his numbers, he'll likely see more offensive touches than he did in Charlotte in Azubuike's absence, but he's still not a viable starter in any fantasy leagues at this point.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Bell and teammate Vladimir Radmanovic were sent to Golden State on Monday in a four-player deal that brought Stephen Jackson and Acie Law to Charlotte, ESPN.com reports.
Impact: The deal brings another strong three-point shooter (41 percent career 3PT average) to a Golden State offense that is searching for an identity. Although Monta Ellis currently starts at shooting guard for the Warriors, the addition of Bell will allow Golden State to rotate Bell, Ellis and Stephen Curry at the guard positions, and Bell is two inches taller than both Curry and Ellis, giving the Warriors some added height. He'll likely see his scoring totals increase in Golden State's run-and-gun offense, so Bell's fantasy owners should be happy. He's still recovering from soreness in his wrist and his calf, so his minutes might be slightly limited as he adjusts to his new team, but once he's back to full strength, expect him to play a bigger offensive role than he did in Charlotte.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | RotoWire
News: The Warriors traded Jackson and teammate Acie Law to the Bobcats on Monday, receiving Raja Bell and Vladimir Radmanovic in return, ESPN.com reports.
Impact: The addition of Jackson to the Bobcats will help a struggling offense that is only averaging 82.4 points per game. Jackson averaged 16.6 points per game in nine games with the Warriors this season, and he'll likely need to fill a larger role with the Bobcats, whose leading scorer is only averaging a dismal 13.7 points per game. Jackson has been known to be a handful at times, and since Charlotte won't be competing for a championship anytime soon, Jackson might not be as motivated as he would have been had he gone to a contender. That being said, all the pieces are in place for Jackson to succeed in Charlotte. Raymond Felton will open up the court for Jackson, and Gerald Wallace, Boris Diaw, and Tyson Chandler are all viable scoring options, so Jackson should see better scoring opportunities than he did in Golden State. It'll be interesting to see how Jackson and Boris Diaw split time, but since Raja Bell was sent away in the trade, the Bobcats could go with a bigger lineup at times, with Felton, Jackson, Wallace, Diaw and Chandler.
Mon. Nov 16, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Watson may have contracted the swine flu, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact: Watson tweeted the following on Sunday morning: "Just came back from the doctor. Suspected H1N1. I have to wear this mask when I'm around people like I have SARS or something. LOL. I don't like it at all." Watson had recently worked his way back into the Warriors' rotation and is averaging 12.0 points and 3.0 assists in 30.5 minutes over his last two games. Watson could be out for a week or so if he does indeed have the swine flu.

News: 48Minutes.net is reporting that Warriors' forward Kelenna Azubuike tore his left patellar tendon in Saturday night's game against the Bucks. Azubuike is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday to further examine and diagnose the injury.
Impact: We will know more on his status after the MRI tomorrow, but this doesn't look good. Early estimates have him missing at least two months, but it seems very possible that he could be out for much longer. We will keep you updated.
Nov 15, 2009 | RotoWire
News: A day after playing just two minutes, Curry scored 14 points (6-of-9 FG, two 3-pointers) in 26 minutes in Saturday's loss to the Bucks. He added four rebounds, two assists, two steals and a blocked shot.
Impact: Warriors coach Don Nelson said he was merely giving minutes to other guys that were playing well, after Curry complained about his playing time in Friday's win over New York. Nelson may not have many choices going forward, because the Warriors lost starting guard Kelenna Azubuike to a leg injury that may keep him out several months.
Nov 15, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Maggette scored 25 points (7-for-11 FG, 9-for-9 FT) in only 22 minutes of action off the bench Saturday night. He also added five boards, four assists, two treys and a steal on the night.
Impact: Maggette is averaging 19.8 points in only 20.8 minutes per game over his last five outings. He has scored 99 points on only 47 field goal attempts in that stretch, an unreal 2.1 points per shot pace that would make him the most efficient player that ever lived. Though that efficiency will obviously come back to earth sometime soon, Maggette should be in line for more minutes with the injury to Kelenna Azubuike.
Nov 15, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ellis led the Warriors with 26 points (11-for-19 FG, 1-for-2 FT), four assists, three boards, three treys and two steals against the Bucks Saturday night.
Impact: Ellis had a publicized argument with coach Don Nelson earlier this week, but he has responded by going 21-for-38 from the field for 48 points in his last two games as he has let his scoring do his arguing for him.
Nov 15, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Moore made all six of his field goal attempts and his only free throw to score 13 points in 19 minutes on Saturday night.
Impact: Moore is spot-starting for the Warriors due to all of the injuries on their frontline, but despite his solid production Saturday night, he is not much of a fantasy contributor even from the starting lineup.
Sun. Nov 15, 2009 | STATS
News: Maggette poured in a season-high 25 points in a loss to Milwaukee on Saturday.
Impact: Maggette is averaging 22.7 points in his last three games for the Warriors.
Sun. Nov 15, 2009 | STATS
News: Ellis had 26 points on 11-of-19 shooting in a loss at Milwaukee on Saturday.
Impact: Ellis is another of the Warriors who can score, averaging 19.3 points this season.
Sun. Nov 15, 2009 | STATS
News: Azubuike will undergo surgery to repair a torn patellar tendon in his left knee.
Impact: The team says the operation will be performed Wednesday in Phoenix. Azubuike is expected to miss the remainder of the season. Azubuike injured his knee last Saturday in Milwaukee. He was averaging 13.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in nine games this season.
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | Fanball
News: Monta Ellis fared well in tonight's 129-125 loss at Milwaukee, as he scored a team-high 26 points. He also had three rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Impact: The star point guard satisfied fantasy owners tonight, and tied his single-game high in scoring for 2009-10. Ellis averages 21.3 points over his last three games.
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Bell returned to the starting lineup Saturday and was 5-of-11 from the field, hit one three and finished with 11 points. He also grabbed three rebounds and had two assists.
Impact: Bell has been dealing with both a wrist injury and a calf strain as of late and returned to the lineup to play more than 30 minutes. His shooting is needed in the Bobcats' lineup as much as possible.
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Azubuike had to be carried off the court after suffering a knee injury in Saturday's game against the Bucks, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: Azubuike has started the Warriors' last seven games, but will likely be sidelined for a significant time after suffering what has been initially called a "left patella tendon injury." He could miss three to five months with the injury.
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Turiaf (knee) did not play in Friday's win over the Knicks.
Impact: Turiaf, who hasn't played in the previous six games, still isn't practicing.

News: Watson scored 19 points (7-for-8 shooting from the field) in 27 minutes in Friday's win over the Knicks.
Impact: The 27 minutes is the most playing time Watson has seen all year and he took advantage of it. Watson's minutes came at the expense of Stephen Curry (two minutes) and the two could be in a battle for the backup point guard job.
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Randolph only played six minutes in Friday's win over the Knicks, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact: The Anthony Randolph roller coaster ride continues. After averaging 20 points and ten rebounds in 31.5 minutes in his last two games, Randolph barely saw the floor on Friday. To make matters worse, he reportedly had words for the coaching staff after being yanked for being out of position on an offensive set. Randolph has tons of upside, but it's probably best to keep him on your bench until he starts to receive consistent minutes over a four-five game stretch.
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Curry only played two minutes on Friday and voiced his displeasure with his new role after the game, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact: "It sucks. It sucks. You don't want to be sitting and watching, especially how the season has started," Curry said. "Hopefully, I won't get used to it, but we'll see what happens." Curry was the opening day starter at point guard but has slowly seen his playing time dissipate. On Friday, C.J. Watson got the backup point guard minutes. Warriors coach Don Nelson said that Curry didn't do anything wrong, he just chose to stick with the veterans. "This is the first game that I haven't used him (Curry), and he's got to understand that those other guys were playing great," Nelson said on Friday. "There will be plenty of time for him to play."
Sat. Nov 14, 2009 | RotoWire
News: One game after playing only 18 minutes and being benched for a disputed injury, Jackson played 47 minutes on Friday and scored a team-high 23 points.
Impact: Jackson's "injuries" clearly weren't an issue on Friday as he also had eight rebounds, two 3-pointers, threes assists and five steals. The good news for fantasy owners is that it looks like Jackson might avoid an "Al Harrington-like" shut down and continue to play as the Warriors try to trade him.
Fri. Nov 13, 2009 | Fanball
News: Kelenna Azubuike put up 22 points, five rebounds and five assists in Friday's 121-107 win over the Knicks.
Impact: Buike turned out his second best point total of the season so far, scoring 31 on Monday. The five assists were a surprise as he had recorded no more than one in any game and only five total coming into Friday's contest.
Thu. Nov 12, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ellis and Warriors coach Don Nelson had a verbal exchange following Thursday's workout, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact: According to another Warriors player, Nelson reprimanded Ellis in front of teammates -- apparently because Ellis was still getting his ankles taped when the team was to begin shooting. Ellis worked exclusively with the starting unit at practice, so we don't expect any reduction in his minutes going forward. But the episode does give us a glimpse into Ellis' attitude and a potential feud with the coach.

News: Bell, who was sidelined for Wednesday's loss to Detroit because of a sore right calf, said the injury should not cause him to miss any more games, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: Bell took jump shots on Thursday and said the calf feels good enough to play Saturday at home against Portland. He said he started feeling pain during Tuesday's loss to the Magic and thinks it might have been a severe cramp and not a strained muscle.
Thu. Nov 12, 2009 | Fanball
News: The Contra Costa Times reports that rookie Stephen Curry has lost his starting job. Anthony Morrow will start at shooting guard for the Warriors for now.
Impact: Coach Don Nelson is notorious for changing lineups repeatedly throughout the course of the season. Curry could be back in the mix soon, but for now will see 20-25 minutes off of the bench. Morrow currently holds more fantasy value.
Thu. Nov 12, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Randolph is averaging 14.2 points and 7.8 rebounds since becoming the Warriors' backup center, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact: "With all the struggles he had at power forward, center is probably a natural position for him and he's doing very well there," coach Don Nelson said on Wednesday. "He'll make it possible, when he gets a little older, to do quite a few creative things through him because he can pass, drive and shoot that 16-footer." Randolph has been playing well of late but it remains to be seen how his minutes will be affected when Andris Biedrins (back) and Ronny Turiaf (knee) return to the lineup.
Thu. Nov 12, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Jackson said he wasn't hurt during Wednesday's game and even mouthed, "Do I look hurt?" to the media when he was removed from the game in the fourth quarter, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact: Warriors coach Don Nelson said that he removed Jackson from the game because he had a sore hip or back and wasn't moving around well during the morning shootaround. It's becoming obvious that Jackson's days as a Warrior are coming to an end and Nelson even admitted as much after Wednesday's game. "At some point, and I don't know when, we have to (trade him)," Nelson said. "He asked to be traded, and we'd like to trade him. That's if we can." The fact that Nelson isn't playing Jackson because of an injury that Jackson disputes can't be good for his short-term fantasy outlook. Fantasy owners can only hope that Jackson gets moved soon and the Warriors don't bench him until that happens.
Thu. Nov 12, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Curry didn't start on Wednesday for the first time this year and thinks he might continue in a reserve role, the Conta Costa Times reports.
Impact: Warriors coach Don Nelson started Anthony Morrow over Curry due to "matchups", but Curry had been playing sparingly of late as a starter. After averaging 37 minutes in the Warriors' first two games, Curry is only averaging 26.4 over his last five (including only 21 minutes on Wednesday).
Thu. Nov 12, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Bell did not play Wednesday night against the Pistons due to a calf strain that had also bothered him last season.
Impact: Bell insisted that his wrist was not the cause of him not playing Wednesday, but in fact it was a calf strain that bothered him last season also. Ronald 'Flip' Murray started in his place.

News: Corey Maggette led the Warriors with 21 points in tonight's 108-94 loss at Indiana. He also had six rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Impact: This was a strong outing, and Maggette only played 22:26 minutes. He reached at least 20 points three times over his last five games.
Wed. Nov 11, 2009 | Fanball
News: Anthony Randolph recorded a double-double in tonight's 108-94 loss at Indiana, with 17 points and a team-high 13 boards. He also had one assist, three steals and two blocks.
Impact: The second-year pro had a strong performance for fantasy owners, namely as he played 30:52 minutes with Andris Biedrins and Ronny Turiaf out. He should remain a nice fantasy option until the aforementioned pair return.
Wed. Nov 11, 2009 | Fanball
News: Raja Bell is out on Wednesday as he deals with a calf strain, according to the Charlotte Observer.
Impact: Bell owners can breathe a sigh of relief that it's not his troublesome wrist. He is day-to-day.
Wed. Nov 11, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Maggette scored 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting and pulled down six rebounds Wednesday against Indiana.
Impact: Maggette benefited from a banged-up Stephen Jackson missing time during the game; however, it might be hard for coaches to ignore back-to-back 20-point performances.
Wed. Nov 11, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Jackson played just 18 minutes Wednesday night due to a sore hip and finished with seven points on 3-of-10 shooting in a loss to Indiana.
Impact: He returned in the second half after just six minutes of action in the first half. He appears to be okay for Friday's game.
Tue. Nov 10, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Bell totaled 13 points (6-12 FG, 1-4 3PT) and added seven rebounds in 33 minutes on Tuesday
Impact: Bell showed no lingering effects of the wrist injury that kept him out the first three games of the season. Bell is an anomaly, since he's an efficient scorer when he's on, but isn't consistent. That being said, don't be afraid to snatch him up if he's on a hot streak.
Tue. Nov 10, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Azubuike scored 31 points on 13-of-19 shooting during the Warriors' blowout win over the Timberwolves on Monday.
Impact: Azubuike also added three 3-pointers, four rebounds, one steal and one block in 29 minutes of action. The 31 points were easily a season-high.
Tue. Nov 10, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Jackson scored just 10 points Monday, but he also dished out 15 assists and recorded four steals during the Warriors' 146-105 win over the Timberwolves.
Impact: Jackson went 6-of-6 from the line and also added six rebounds and two blocks in an impressive performance amidst locker room turmoil. He really excelled as a facilitator Monday.
Tue. Nov 10, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Warriors coach Don Nelson said on Monday that Azubuike will remain the Warriors' starting small forward for "a while", the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact: Azubuike scored a season-high 31 points on Monday but is only averaging 10.7 points and 5.3 rebounds in three starts this year. He has upside for points, boards and treys if he continues to get solid minutes (29 minutes on Monday). Keep in mind that Corey Maggette, Stephen Jackson and Anthony Morrow will all get some minutes at small forward as well.
Tue. Nov 10, 2009 | Fanball
News: Anthony Randolph had a big night off the bench for the Warriors on Monday in their 148-105 win over the Wolves. Randolph scored 23 points and pulled down seven rebounds in the game.
Impact: Randolph also added three steals and three blocks, and he made the most of his opportunity thanks to the injuries on the team's front line. He should see more time with Andris Biedrins and Ronny Turiaf out, so he should b a nice fantasy play over the next few weeks.
Tue. Nov 10, 2009 | Fanball
News: Kelenna Azubuike had a huge night for the Warriors on Monday as Golden State scored 148 points in their win over the T-Wolves. Azubuike had 31 points, four rebounds, and an assist in the win.
Impact: Buike made up for the loss of center Andris Biedrins tonight, as he had his best performance of the season. He is scoring 12.4 points per game, and he is a serviceable fantasy scorer, even though owners shouldn't expect nights like this every time out.
Tue. Nov 10, 2009 | STATS
News: Azubuike scored a season-high 31 points to help the Golden State Warriors beat the struggling Minnesota Timberwolves 146-105 on Monday night.
Impact: Azubuike did all of his scoring in the first three quarters then spent the final 12 minutes on the bench when Nelson emptied his bench. The third-year guard shot 13 of 19 from the floor, slicing through Minnesota's defense without much resistance while coming within two points of his career best of 33 points set Nov. 2, 2007.
Mon. Nov 9, 2009 | Fanball
News: The Mercury News is reporting that Warriors' big man Anthony Randolph will see extended minutes wth Andris Biedrins and Ronny Turiaf out with injury. Randolph is averaging 10.2 points and six rebounds in just over 18 minutes of playing time a game.
Impact: Many expected a breakout year for Randolph this season, but he has started off rather slowly. The increased playing time should help out his fantasy numbers, so owners should be sure to get him in over the next week or so.
Mon. Nov 9, 2009 | Fanball
News: As expected, Warriors' center Andris Biedrins has been ruled out of Monday's game against the T-Wolves. Biedrins left Sunday's game with a back injury.
Impact: Biedrins is likely going to miss a few games because of his back, as he re-injured himself by trying to play last night. Owners will want to monitor his progression, but expect to be without for several games.
Mon. Nov 9, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Biedrins (back) will not make Golden State's five-game road trip starting Tuesday, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact: It sounds like he's had a significant setback to his back injury, but we'll track down further details. Mikki Moore should continue to start in his absence.
Mon. Nov 9, 2009 | RotoWire
News: With Andris Biedrins (back) and Ronny Turiaf (knee) both sidelined, Randolph should see extended run in Monday's game against Minnesota, the Mercury News reports.
Impact: Coach Don Nelson plans to use Randolph as Mikki Moore's backup at center, but the second-year big man should also see time at power forward. Capitalizing on the extra playing time Monday could go a long way towards Randolph getting enough run once the Warriors are healthy to live up to his preseason hype.
Mon. Nov 9, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Turiaf (knee) will miss Monday's tilt against Minnesota, the Mercury News reports.
Impact: Starting center Andris Biedrins is also out for Monday's contest. Look for Anthony Randolph to play a much bigger role with both big men sidelined.
Mon. Nov 9, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Biedrins (back) will miss Monday's game against the Timberwolves, the Mercury News reports.
Impact: The report states that Biedrins will also be out for the beginning of the Warriors five-game road trip that tips off on Wednesday. Keep him on your bench for the time being.
Mon. Nov 9, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Biedrins re-aggravated his back injury in Sunday's game against Sacramento and could miss games this week to rest, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: "He's (Biedrins) not doing very well," coach Don Nelson said after Sunday's game. "I probably shouldn't have even played him, but we wanted to have another big guy if we possibly could. He couldn't do very much when he was out there, and he has injured himself again. So that was a bad decision on my part." With Ronny Turiaf (knee) still out, Anthony Randolph and Mikki Moore will most likely see a lot more playing time if Biedrins misses some games.
Mon. Nov 9, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Jackson's agent, Mark Stevenson, criticized the Warriors' after Sunday's loss to Sacramento and recited his plans to get Jackson traded, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: Stevenson questioned the team's trust in coach Don Nelson and fired off a number of disparaging remarks. "I just want (Jackson) out of there now. It doesn't matter where," Stevenson said. "At this stage, something has to be done. It can't get any worse."
Mon. Nov 9, 2009 | Fanball
News: Corey Maggette says that his Warriors team in in "chaos," according to AOL Fanhouse.
Impact: From undefined roles to an ever-growing Don Nelson doghouse, things are getting ugly in Golden State. At the current moment, it's nearly impossible to envision them matching last season's modest 29-53 record - embarrassing considering the embarrassment of talented young players they have.
Mon. Nov 9, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Curry scored nine points and handed out six assists but had trouble guarding the Kings' Beno Udrih in Sunday's loss, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: Curry played 31 minutes but his defensive shortcomings could be an issue when average point guards like Udrih scorch him for 20 points. Despite his defensive struggles, Warriors coach Don Nelson plans to continue to start Curry at the point for the immediate future.
Mon. Nov 9, 2009 | Fanball
News: Corey Maggette had a nice performance for the Warriors on Sunday in their loss to the Kings. Maggette had 20 points, two rebounds, and two assists in the game.
Impact: Maggette has been scoring this season, but he doesn't contribute in many other categories. He is getting only 4.5 boards and 1.3 assists, but he can provide a scoring punch on occasion, as he did tonight.
Sun. Nov 8, 2009 | Fanball
News: Andris Biedrins started for the Warriors on Sunday night, but he left in the second half due to his back injury. Biedrins missed Saturday's practice with the same back issue.
Impact: Biedrins has been injury-prone in the past, so this comes as no surprise. This issue doesn't appear to be all that serious, especially since he was able to start the game tonight. We will keep you updated on his condition when the team makes it known.
Nov 8, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Jackson paced Golden State with 21 points (7-of-16 FG, 2-of-7 3Pt) in Sunday's loss to Sacramento. He added seven rebounds, two blocks and an assist.
Impact: Jackson's future with the Warriors remains an almost daily topic of discussion, but as long as he's in town he'll continue to get consistent minutes in one of the league's more fantasy-friendly offenses.
Nov 8, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Turiaf (knee) did not play in Sunday's loss to Sacramento.
Impact: Turiaf has now missed three straight games for the Warriors. Golden State plays the second game of a back-to-back on Monday night, and his status for that contest remains questionable.
Nov 8, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Biedrins, who was a game-time decision because of a back injury, started at center Sunday night against the Kings but was ineffective in 21 minutes. He finished with two points and six rebounds.
Impact: Biedrins didn't look like himself on Sunday and is clearly still bothered by his sore back. The Warriors play again on Monday, and it's possible that Biedrins sits that one out, so you'll want to strongly weigh your other options before starting him.
Sun. Nov 8, 2009 | Fanball
News: Ronny Turiaf appears to be out indefinitely with his sprained knee, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Impact: With Andris Biedrins also out, Anthony Randolph and Mikki Moore will man center for the Warriors for the next few days.
Sun. Nov 8, 2009 | Fanball
News: Andris Biedrins (back) did not practice on Saturday, and could be out again on Sunday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Impact: Biedrins has had trouble staying healthy in the past, so this is not that big of a surprise. That being said, the rebounding machine is considered day-to-day and should not be out for too much longer.
Nov 8, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Turiaf (knee) didn't practice on Saturday and is not expected to play in Sunday's game against Sacramento, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: Turiaf, who is listed as day-to-day, has missed the Warriors' last two games.

News: Biedrins (strained lower back) will be a game-time decision Sunday against Sacramento, the Contra Costa Times reports
Impact: Biedrins worked out lightly on Saturday, but did not practice. Mikki Moore will most likely start if Biedrins can't go and Anthony Randolph could see a bump in minutes as well.
Sat. Nov 7, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Bell (wrist) was 9-for-12 from the field, 5-for-6 from long range and finished with a game-high 24 points in a win Friday. He also contributed four assists and a rebound.
Impact: Bell came off a very poor shooting first game of his season to "fill it up." His outside shooting paced the Bobcats to a big win against Atlanta. His wrist is still injured and wrapped, but it did not appear to affect his shooting Friday.
Sat. Nov 7, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Morrow scored 18 points (three 3-pointers) in 37 minutes on Friday.
Impact: Morrow is averaging 21.0 points and 3.5 threes made in 35.0 minutes a game over his last two games. He could be a nice pickup for teams needing threes and points if he continues to see quality minutes off the bench.
Sat. Nov 7, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Curry only played 21 minutes on Friday and scored five points in a loss to the Clippers.
Impact: Curry has seen his playing time decrease over the last two games as the Warriors are playing Monta Ellis more at the point and Anthony Morrow at shooting guard. Curry is averaging 6.0 points and 6.0 assists in 24.5 minutes over his last two games.
Sat. Nov 7, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Randolph scored 13 points (5-for-15 shooting) and pulled down 14 rebounds in Friday's loss to the Clippers. Despite his success on Friday, Randolph will most likely remain a reserve due to his poor attitude, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: Randolph only played 29 minutes and a lot of his production happened in garbage time as the Warriors lost by 28. He was not in the starting lineup on Friday despite injuries to Andris Biedrins (back) and Ronny Turiaf (knee). Team sources say that Randolph needs to improve his attitude and humble himself if he wants to get back into the Warriors' rotation. Fantasy owners should probably keep Randolph on their bench until he starts to get consistent minutes.
Sat. Nov 7, 2009 | STATS
News: Roy had 24 points and the Portland Trail Blazers beat the San Antonio Spurs 96-84 Friday night.
Impact: Roy is averaging 25.2 points, 4.5 assists and 4.3 rebounds.

News: Bell scored 24 points and the Charlotte Bobcats looked nothing like the NBA's lowest scoring team in beating the road-weary Atlanta Hawks 103-83 on Friday night.
Impact: Bell hit 9 of 12 shots, including 5 of 6 from 3-point range. In his second game back after deciding to put off surgery for a partially torn ligament in his left wrist, Bell hit his first five shots, including two 3-pointers
Fri. Nov 6, 2009 | Fanball
News: Raja Bell carried the Bobcats with 24 points in Friday's 103-83 win over the Hawks. He also chipped in one rebound and four assists. He made 5-of-6 shots from three-point range.
Impact: Bell bounced back well after only averaging 3.5 points over his previous two contests.
Fri. Nov 6, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Warriors coach Don Nelson plans on playing Randolph as the Warriors backup center, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: Randolph has gone from the Warriors' starting power forward to backup center in less than two weeks thanks to Don Nelson. Nelson reportedly doesn't want to start Randolph because he thinks he will be more effective playing against reserves. Randolph only played seven minutes in the Warriors' last game, but could start to see more time with Andris Biedrins (back) and Ronny Turiaf (knee) banged up.
Fri. Nov 6, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Biedrins' playing status is 50-50 for Friday's game against the Clippers due to a sore back, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact: Biedrins, who strained his back in Wednesday's game against Memphis, said the injury isn't serious but could keep him out of Friday's game. Mikki Moore will get the start at center if Biedrins can't go.
Thu. Nov 5, 2009 | Fanball
News: Golden State Warriors' beat writer Marcus Thompson is reporting that center Andris Biedrins did not practice on Thursday due to an ailing back. Biedrins' status for Friday's game against the Clippers is in doubt.
Impact: We should have more info on this situation tomorrow after the shoot-around, but it can't be good for the Warriors that he didn't practice today. Anthony Randolph could see more minutes if Biedrins can't play, but we will let you know tomorrow.
Thu. Nov 5, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Maggette scored 20 points (9-for-17 shooting from the field) in Wednesday's win over Memphis.
Impact: Maggette entered the night shooting only 23.8 percent from the field and averaging 21.5 minutes per game. He played 30 minutes on Wednesday and shot 53 percent from the field but his minutes could be inconsistent due to the Warriors' depth at shooting guard and small forward.
Thu. Nov 5, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Azubuike started at small forward on Wednesday but only scored six points in 15 minutes of action.
Impact: Both Anthony Morrow (24 points) and Corey Maggette (20 points) played well off the Warriors' bench so Azubuike's minutes were limited. The Warriors are deep at shooting guard and small forward so Azubuike's minutes and production could be inconsistent even if he continues to start.
Thu. Nov 5, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Morrow scored 24 points and made four 3-pointers in Wednesday's win over Memphis.
Impact: Morrow's playing time came mostly at the expense of starting small forward Kelenna Azubuike. Warriors coach Don Nelson has been looking for ways to get Morrow more playing time and he could be a solid source of points and threes if he continues to see 30-plus minutes.
Thu. Nov 5, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Randolph only played seven minutes off the bench and is not pleased with his new role and decrease in playing time, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: "It's kind of like deją vu," Randolph said before Wednesday's game, "But it's different from last year because people know what I can do. I've just got to keep my head up. It's a long season. I've got a long career ahead of me. These are the type of experiences that will make me a better player and person." Warriors coach Don Nelson plans to keep his small ball lineup in place for at least the next couple of games so Randolph's minutes could be limited for the foreseeable future.
Thu. Nov 5, 2009 | Fanball
News: Anthony Morrow shot the lights out for the Warriors on Wednesday as Golden State defeated the Grizzlies 113-105. Morrow finished with 24 points on 10-of-12 shooting.
Impact: Morrow is an outstanding shooter, and he showed what can happen when he gets on a roll. He was a perfect 4-for-4 from distance, and he is a nice sleeper fantasy player.
Thu. Nov 5, 2009 | Fanball
News: Monta Ellis led the way for the Warriors on Wednesday as Golden State picked up their first win of the season against the Grizzlies. Ellis scored 24 points and had 12 assists and seven rebounds in the win.
Impact: Ellis is known for his scoring, but he really made the difference in other categories tonight. He was only averaging four rebounds and four assists coming into tonight, so this outing was very impressive.
Thu. Nov 5, 2009 | STATS
News: Ellis had 24 points and a season-high 12 assists for Golden State in Wednesday's 113-105 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
Impact: Ellis averaged 22.5 points and 4.0 assists in the Warriors first two games.
Wed. Nov 4, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Curry dished out nine assists and scored seven points (3-of-6 FG) in a win over Memphis on Wednesday.
Impact: Curry again started at point guard and split time at the position with Monta Ellis, but it's clear that he's seeing the floor well in coach Don Nelson's fastbreak offense. Through three games, he's averaging 6.7 assists.
Wed. Nov 4, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Ellis had 24 points (10-of-23 FG) and 12 assists in a win over Memphis on Wednesday. He also scooped up seven rebounds and five steals.
Impact: Ellis played a whopping 47 minutes, much of that time at point guard, which allowed him to post his first double-digit assists game since February 2007. He'll likely remain the starting shooting guard, but he's getting enough opportunities to run the offense that his assist numbers should be fairly consistent.
Wed. Nov 4, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Turiaf (knee) didn't practice on Tuesday and Warriors coach Don Nelson doesn't expect him to be available for Wednesday's game against Memphis, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: Turiaf is listed as day-to-day.
Tue. Nov 3, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Jackson will slide from small forward to power forward for Wednesday's game against Memphis, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: Warriors coach Don Nelson is shaking up the lineup already by starting Kelenna Azubuike at small forward, Jackson at power forward and moving Anthony Randolph to the bench. Jackson's value should be unaffected but he could find himself in foul trouble if he is forced to guard larger, more physical power forwards.
Mon. Nov 2, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Although reports earlier in the day indicated Bell (wrist) would probably not play, coach Larry Brown said Bell will make his season debut Monday against the Nets, the Associated Press reports.
Impact: Bell has yet to go through a full-contact practice and admits that playing through the partially torn ligament in his wrist will be an "adventure." He eventually will need surgery, but he'll try to put it off until the end of the season. Since he's not a strong fantasy performer as is, you'll want to be especially cautious about playing him given this injury.
Mon. Nov 2, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Bell (wrist) struggled in his season debut on Monday, making just 1-of-8 shots from the field.
Impact: Bell scored just three points, but the good news is that he was immediately inserted into the starting lineup and was able to play 28 minutes. Meanwhile, D.J. Augustin was highly productive off the bench (21 points, three steals, 9-of-10 FT).
Mon. Nov 2, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Azubuike will start at small forward Wednesday against the Grizzlies, Marcus Thompson of the Contra Coast Times reports.
Impact: Coach Don Nelson continues his lineup juggling, rolling out his third different starting lineup of the season. Nelson will continue to change his lineup on a regular basis, so don't be surprised if Azubuike moves back to a reserve role at some point.
Mon. Nov 2, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Randolph will return to a reserve role Wednesday against the Grizzlies, Marcus Thompson of the Contra Coast Times reports.
Impact: This will be coach Don Nelson's third starting lineup in three games. Look for the headache to continue, but Randolph should eventually emerge as the Warriors' primary power forward.
Mon. Nov 2, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Azubuike practiced with the Warriors' starters on Sunday, and he is preparing for more of a role in the Golden State line-up, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact: Azubuike has played well to start the season despite missing a few preseason games. He currently ranks second on the team in scoring (15.0), field-goal percentage (61.9), and blocks (1.0). If he is still floating around, Azubuike is a guy to keep an eye on.
Mon. Nov 2, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Randolph (back) said his sore lower back is 90 percent healthy and he expects to be close to 100 percent for Wednesday's game against Memphis, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: Randolph could see extra minutes this week with Ronny Turiaf (sprained knee) expected to miss some time.

News: An MRI on Turiaf's knee revealed a sprained left knee and he is listed as day-to-day, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact: Turiaf hurt his knee in the fourth quarter of Saturday's loss to Phoenix. Look for Andris Biedrins, Anthony Randolph and possibly Corey Maggette to see increased minutes while Turiaf is out.

News: It does not appear as if Bell (wrist) will be playing against the Nets on Monday, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: The Bobcats did not practice on Sunday which implies that Bell is likely to not play Monday because they would have used Sunday to help him prepare to return. He is also not listed, at least as the starting guard, on the gameday roster identified in the Charlotte Observer.

News: Radmanovic hit two shots from long range and scored a team-high 12 points Saturday night in just 17 minutes of play.
Impact: Radmanovic had his biggest scoring game of the year and the highest total on the team on a bad offensive night for the rest of the Bobcats. He should be an outside scoring threat off the bench, but has not been shooting the ball particularly well so far this year.

News: Turiaf left Friday's loss to Phoenix in the fourth quarter with a sprained knee, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact: Anthony Randolph should get more playing time if Turiaf is out for any length of time.
Sat. Oct 31, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Maggette scored nine points (2-for-7 from the field) and played only 19 minutes in Friday's loss to Phoenix.
Impact: During the preseason, Warriors coach Don Nelson said that Maggette would be playing 30+ minutes most nights, but it looks like that thinking has changed. Maggette is only averaging 21.5 mpg through two games and is shooting a dreadful 23.8% from the field. He has upside as a scorer and free throw shooter, but he should probably be on your bench in shallow leagues until he starts to produce with consistent minutes.
Sat. Oct 31, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Curry started at point guard for the second consecutive game but only scored 12 points (5-for-9 shooting) in a loss to Phoenix.
Impact: Curry did make two three-pointers and handed out four assists while playing a team-high 39 minutes. Curry is averaging 13.0 ppg, 5.5 apg and 2.5 spg in 37.2 mpg through his first two games. He looks to be a Don Nelson favorite so he should continue to see major minutes for the foreseeable future and be a nice source for points, treys, assists and steals.
Sat. Oct 31, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Biedrins only played 20 minutes on Friday but still scored eight points, pulled down ten rebounds and handed out four assists in a loss to Phoenix.
Impact: Golden State coach Don Nelson is still figuring out a rotation amongst Biedrins, Anthony Randolph, Ronny Turiaf and Mikki Moore. Biedrins is averaging 8.0 ppg and 7.5 rpg in only 25.4 mpg, so look for him to be a nightly double-double threat if he starts to get 30+ minutes.
Sat. Oct 31, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Randolph started at power forward Friday against the Suns, but he played just 24 minutes. He finished with 12 points and seven rebounds on 2-of-9 shooting.
Impact: It is mind-boggling why Don Nelson continues to play Corey Maggette when it is obvious that Maggette is running the team straight into the ground with his poor shot selection and trigger-happy ways. Randolph has a nice schedule in the upcoming week, so you definitely want to keep him active despite his early struggles.
Fri. Oct 30, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Bell (wrist) went through shootaround with a smaller brace on his wrist, but did not play in Friday's game against the Knicks.
Impact: Coach Larry Brown said that Bell could return for Monday's game against New Jersey, but Bell is not as optimistic. "I don't want to set myself back," Bell said.

News: George is inactive with a strained knee.
Impact: It is unclear when George will play for the Warriors.
Fri. Oct 30, 2009 | RotoWire
News: The Warriors are reportedly talking to several teams including the Cavaliers, Hornets, Spurs and Clippers about trades including Jackson, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact: When asked if he thought Jackson would be traded, Warriors coach Don Nelson said, "It wouldn't surprise me. I hope he doesn't, because I think we've worked that out now, but we have to roll with the punches." A trade to another team could hurt Jackson's fantasy value as he is currently one of the main options in a fantasy-friendly offense. If Jackson is traded, it probably won't happen until after December 15 when recently signed free agents are eligible to be included in trades.

News: Maggette scored ten points, pulled down nine rebounds and handed out three assists in Wednesday's loss to Houston
Impact: Decent production for Maggette, who only played 24 minutes in a reserve role on Wednesday. Maggette's minutes could continue to be inconsistent as he is battling Kelenna Azubuike, Anthony Morrow and Anthony Randolph for backup small forward and power forward minutes.
Thu. Oct 29, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Turiaf got the start at power forward on Wednesday and responded with four points, six rebounds and three blocks in a loss to Houston.
Impact: Turiaf will probably move to the bench once Anthony Randolph (back) is healthy enough to start. At this point, Turiaf's value looks to be limited to the blocks category.
Wed. Oct 28, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Randolph (back) was able to play in Wednesday's season opener against the Rockets, finishing with eight points and four rebounds.
Impact: He only played 10 minutes, but he made the most of the limited time, getting to the line for four free-throw attempts and knocking down a three-pointer. As his back gets closer to 100 percent, his minutes should start to creep upward.
Wed. Oct 28, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Jackson (hamstring) started Wednesday's season opener against Houston and finished with 17 points, four rebounds and four assists.
Impact: Jackson's offseason trade request earned him a chorus of boos from the home fans on Wednesday, but he shrugged off the fan reaction, telling the Associated Press, "I've been booed many times." His hamstring injury didn't seem to be an issue.
Wed. Oct 28, 2009 | RotoWire
News: George (knee) was inactive for Wednesday's season-opening loss to Houston.
Impact: George is dealing with a knee injury, but doesn't figure to be part of the rotation even when healthy.
Wed. Oct 28, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Azubuike (ankle) was able to play in Wednesday's season opener against the Warriors and finished with 13 points and six rebounds.
Impact: Azubuike's status was uncertain coming into the game, but he didn't seem bothered by the ankle at all and finished 6-of-7 from the floor.
Wed. Oct 28, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Randolph (back) still isn't 100 percent, but he hopes to play some minutes in Wednesday's opener against Houston, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: "It feels much better," Randolph said on Tuesday. "Just a little tight. I'm just working on my core every day, trying to get that strong and going to get treatment." If Randolph does suit up, he will likely come off the bench.
Wed. Oct 28, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Maggette might not start at power forward for Wednesday's opener against Houston, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: Warriors coach Don Nelson named Maggette the starter over the weekend, but it looks like Ronny Turiaf will start at power forward due to his rebounding and shot blocking abilities. Look for Maggette to still get 30+ minutes at both power forward and small forward.
Wed. Oct 28, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Turiaf looks to be the opening night starter at power forward instead of Corey Maggette, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: Last week, Warriors coach Don Nelson had pegged Maggette as the starter but it looks like those plans have changed. Nelson is favoring starting Turiaf to give the Warriors another shot blocking presence to offset the defensive liabilities created by starting two small guards (Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry). Anthony Randolph should eventually be the starter at power forward once he is fully recovered from his back injury.
Tue. Oct 27, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Bell has opted to put off surgery on his left wrist, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Impact: Bell continues to practice and is feeling noticeably better since suffering the injury on Oct. 18. If all goes well, he could return within a week, but keep in mind that any setbacks will have Bell reconsidering the surgery route.
Tue. Oct 27, 2009 | STATS
News: Wright injured his shooting shoulder during practice Friday and will miss extended time.
Impact: A key reserve in Don Nelson's lineup expected to contribute regularly this season, Wright might have sustained a similar injury to the one that sidelined him for two months last season. He partially dislocated his left shoulder in early January and missed two months, then briefly returned in March before sitting out the final 10 games.
Tue. Oct 27, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Turiaf will play power forward next to Andris Biedrins during stretches this year, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: Warriors coach Don Nelson experimented with a big lineup this preseason that featured Andris Biedrins at center and Turiaf at power forward and liked what he saw. "We like that lineup actually," Nelson said on Monday. "And you'll see that, the big lineup." Turiaf could see an increase in minutes and value if he can get minutes at power forward and minutes at center backing up Biedrins. Turiaf finished fourth in the league in blocks per game last year (2.1 bpg) while only averaging 21.5 minutes per game. Turiaf could be a nice source for rebounds and blocks if his playing time increases to 25-30 minutes a game this season.
Tue. Oct 27, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Azubuike (ankle) practiced on Monday but his status for Wednesday's opener is unclear, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: If and when Azubuike does play, he will come off the bench as the Warriors backup small forward and shooting guard.
Tue. Oct 27, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Randolph (back) practiced on Monday, but his status is still unclear for Wednesday's opener against Houston, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: It looks like Randolph could be a game-time decision and will likely backup Corey Maggette at power forward if he is able to go.
Mon. Oct 26, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Warriors coach Don Nelson named Curry the starter for Wednesday's season opener against the Rockets, the Oakland Tribune reports.
Impact: Nelson is known for irritating fantasy owners with his constant lineup juggling, but it appears he'll give the undersized backcourt of Curry and Monta Ellis a chance at the start of the season.
Mon. Oct 26, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Randolph (back) will come off the bench to start the season, the Oakland Tribune reports.
Impact: To make matters worse for everyone's favorite sleeper, his lingering back injury may hold him out of the season opener. With his role as a reserve and his back acting up, you may want to explore other options for the first week of the season.
Mon. Oct 26, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Jackson says he won't be making any more trade demands and wants to focus on playing basketball for the Warriors, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: "He's the old Jack, as far as I can see," Warriors coach Nelson said on Sunday. "We've gone through all this together, and it's worked itself out. I think he's a good soldier right now, and I think he'll do the right thing." Jackson (hamstring) practiced on Sunday and should be the opening night starter at small forward.
Oct 25, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Azubuike (ankle) didn't practice on Saturday but hopes to test his ankle next week, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: Azubuike has been hampered by a left ankle bone bruise.
Oct 25, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Claxton looks to be out of the Warriors' rotation for now as Stephen Curry, Monta Ellis and C.J. Watson should get all the minutes at point guard.
Impact: Claxton looks to be fifth on the depth chart behind Acie Law, so he will be hard pressed to get any minutes unless the Warriors have injuries in their backcourt.
Oct 25, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Morrow will open the season as the Warriors' backup shooting guard, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: Morrow looked to have won the starting job a week ago but a late charge by Stephen Curry pushed him to a backup role. Morrow averaged 22.0 points per game this preseason and should still see 20-25 minutes off the bench as one of the Warriors' best outside threats.
Oct 25, 2009 | RotoWire
News: Maggette will start at power forward when the Warriors open their season on Wednesday against Houston, the Contra Costa Times reports.
Impact: Maggette is starting at power forward because it looks like Anthony Randolph (back) won't be ready for the opener. When Randolph returns, looks for Maggette to get plenty of minutes as the backup small forward and power forward.
