News: Rubio (knee) is off his crutches, the Star Tribune's Jerry Zgoda reports.
Impact: Rubio's torn ACL and LCL were surgically repaired on Mar. 22, and his rehab is reportedly going well. The 21-year-old started 31 games for the Timberwolves before the injury, and averaged 10.6 points and 8.2 assists in his 41 total games. He proved he can compete at the NBA level last year, but there is still a fairly long road to recovery for Rubio.

News: Pekovic had surgery to remove bone spurs from his right ankle on Tuesday.
Impact: Pekovic's sore ankle kept him out of eight games towards the end of the season. Dr. Martin O'Malley performed the surgery and Pekovic is expected to make a full recovery and be ready in time for training camp.

Impact: Getting this procedure out of the way early in the offseason will give Pekovic plenty of time to recover and barring any unrelated injuries he will be ready to play the 2012-13 season. Operating healthy in Kevin Love's shadow should give Pek some legit fantasy value next season.
