News: Dragic scored 23 points (7-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 9-11 FT) to go along with five assists and three steals in 33 minutes Monday.
Impact: Dragic recovered from a nightmarish first half, one in which he failed to register a field goal, to almost lead the Suns to a comeback victory. His 20 second half points showed just how quickly Dragic can fill it up. Owners have come to expect these types of performances and should keep reaping the benefits of his breakout season.
News: Plumlee scored 12 points (6-10 FG) while grabbing nine rebounds and blocking two shots in 26 minutes Monday.
Impact: Plumlee came off the bench for precautionary reasons in the Suns' previous game, but returned to his regular starting role on Monday. Although he'll rarely post big numbers, Plumlee is as consistent a performer as you can ask for and is worth a look in deeper leagues.
News: Tucker scored 14 points (3-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 8-11 FT) to go along with 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals in 30 minutes Monday.
Impact: Tucker was having himself a nice night before he was ejected following a scuffle with Blake Griffin. The big man has been inconsistent for most of the season but has played well as of late, so keep an eye on whether the league decides to punish Tucker for his actions.
News: Len will return to a bench role Monday against the Clippers, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: Miles Plumlee will be back in the starting lineup, and Len demonstrated that he's not a good fantasy option, even as a starter, so he should be widely unowned.
News: Plumlee will start at center Monday against the Clippers, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: Plumlee said that his knee was feeling weak after Sunday's game, but it won't keep him out of the starting lineup. Look for him to log 20-30 minutes against DeAndre Jordan. Alex Len will return to a bench role.
News: Bledsoe (knee) will not play Monday against the Clippers, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: Bledsoe is still expected to return Wednesday, which was announced last week as his target date. He may come off the bench at first but should be owned in all but the shallowest of leagues, as he was a Top 50 fantasy player before the injury this season.
News: Plumlee relayed that his right knee "felt kind of weak" following his return to the court in Sunday's loss at Golden State, the Arizona Republic reports. Moreover, he said, "I just have a lot more confidence on it...With the swelling going down, I feel like I have more control over it so I'm not so nervous using it. I didn't have the control or explosiveness. I was afraid I was about to hurt myself worse trying to play on it."
Impact: The rest was much deserved in order to aid in the recovery of the sprain, but it's unclear what kind of workload Plumlee will be able to handle Monday at the Clippers. Considering he earned just 10 minutes of court time Sunday, owners may have to wait awhile before he retains standard league value.
Mon. Mar 10, 2014 | STATS
News: Dragic scored 24 points and hit all three of his 3-point attempts in Sunday's loss to Golden State.
Impact: Dragic is shooting 51.5 percent from beyond the arc over his last seven contests.
Mon. Mar 10, 2014 | STATS
News: Green scored 25 in Sunday's loss at Golden State.
Impact: Green is averaging 29.0 points over his last four contests while going 20 of 34 from 3-point range.
News: Bledsoe (knee) could return as soon as Monday against the Clippers but is more likely to return Wednesday, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: There's a good chance that Bledsoe will come off the bench when he first returns, and potentially for the rest of the season with the Suns having played well while Bledsoe was sidelined. We're leaving him on the bench in shallower leagues, but he's a decent speculative play in deeper leagues.
News: Plumlee (knee) returned to action Sunday, putting up two points, four rebounds, and an assist in 10 minutes off the bench.
Impact: Plumlee missed the Suns' previous two games with a sprained right knee. He was a true game-time call Sunday, so the Suns left Alex Len in the starting lineup at center.
News: Plumlee (knee) will come off the bench in Sunday's game against the Warriors, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: Plumlee has sat out the past two games due to a right knee sprain. Alex Len will start once again in his place until he is at full health.
Sat. Mar 8, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Bledsoe (knee) said he'll likely return to action Wednesday at home against the Cavs, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: Bledsoe was able to practice Saturday, and it sounds like Wednesday is a good bet for his return from what will be a 33-game absence with the knee injury. It has been reported that he may come off the bench at first, as the Suns have played well without him and Goran Dragic has emerged as a potential Top 5 MVP candidate. Still, this is good news for owners who were patient enough to hang on to Bledsoe, as he's a true fantasy difference maker when he's playing.
News: Dragic tallied 22 points but was a minus-14 on the night in Phoenix's win over Oklahoma City on Thursday.
Impact: Dragic is shooting 42.2 percent from the field in three games since scoring a career-best 40 in a Feb. 28 win over New Orleans. He's shooting 50.7 percent on the season.
News: Green established a new career high with 41 points while hitting a personal-best 8 of 13 3-pointers in Thursday's win over the Thunder.
Impact: Green is averaging 20.6 points over his last 18 contests while shooting 45.5 percent from 3-point range. Prior to that stretch, he had been averaging 13.5 points on the season while hitting 36.2 percent of his attempts from long distance.
News: Morris scored 24 on 8-of-13 shooting in Thursday's win over the Thunder.
Impact: Morris is averaging 18.6 points on 55.4 percent shooting over his last eight games.
News: Green recorded 41 points (12-22 FG, 8-13 3Pt, 9-11 FT), five rebounds, two assists, three steals, and one block in 41 minutes Thursday.
Impact: Green broke his career-high in scoring for the second time in less than three weeks and scored 30+ points for the second time in three games. He continues to be a high volume three point shooter and he can either catch fire or go cold at any time, making him a very streaky shooter.
News: Morris recorded 24 points (8-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 8-10 FT), six rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 30 minutes Thursday.
Impact: Morris reached the 20 points mark for the second time in three games Thursday against the Thunder and continues to be a scoring spark off the bench for the Suns. Even with Miles Plumlee out for the immediate future, it doesn't look like Morris will get any extra minutes based on the last two games.
News: Len finished with six points (2-3 FG, 2-3 FT) and three rebounds in 11 minutes.
Impact: Len only played 11 minutes in his first career start, but looked solid in the time he got. Even with Miles Plumlee out, it looks like Len won't get too much playing time outside of blowout games.
News: Dragic, who was listed as probable due to a left side strain, is starting Thursday's game against the Thunder.
Impact: Official word didn't come down until right before the opening tipoff, but Dragic's status was never really in doubt.
News: Len will start at center for the injured Miles Plumlee (knee) on Thursday against the Thunder, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: In the initial nod of his NBA career Tuesday versus the Clippers, the rookie recorded six points (3-8 FG) and six boards in 19 minutes. As long as Plumlee is out due to a sprained right knee, Len seems poised to garner the start down low, but expectations should be tempered, as he's logged no more than 22 minutes in any outing this season.
News: Plumlee (knee) won't play Thursday versus the Thunder, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: Coach Jeff Hornacek isn't taking any chances with Plumlee's right knee sprain, which will sideline the center for a second consecutive contest. In Plumlee's place, Alex Len will get the nod at center, but none of the Suns' frontcourt members are expected to receive significant run.
News: Bledsoe (knee), who is slated to return in the next week, may come off the bench in his initial outings, the Arizona Republic reports. "You don't know how they'll come back," coach Jeff Hornacek said. "We might bring Eric in off the bench a little bit. We hope he's there at the end of game. If you throw him right into the starting lineup, it might screw you up for a few games. It screws up guys' roles. Some of the other guys who had to step it up and take more shots are maybe deferring because a main guy comes back."
Impact: There is sure to be a learning curve upon Bledsoe's first games back in the fold, especially because he hasn't played since the calendar flipped to 2014. On Wednesday, he participated in 5-on-5 contact work for the third time in five days, which has predictably left him sore. However, Hornacek has referred to it as "training camp soreness," intimating the typical pangs of pain that take place in October after months of lessened activity. While Bledsoe has been ruled out for Thursday's game versus the Suns, his remaining opportunities to take the court in the next week arrive Sunday in Golden State, Monday at the Clippers, and Wednesday versus the Cavaliers. Whenever he plays, expect him to ease into action, before eventually taking over the starting two-guard spot from Gerald Green.
News: Bledsoe (knee) avoided a setback during Wednesday's 5-on-5 session, but no date has been determined for his return to the court, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: The session marked the third time in five days that Bledsoe has taken part in 5-on-5 work, which has produced what coach Jeff Hornacek termed "training camp soreness." Due to the increase in activity level and the fact that he's a few weeks past the initial 4-to-6 week timetable for a return, Bledsoe is closing in on his first game action of 2014.
News: Bledsoe (knee) is slated to return to the court within the next week, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: Bledsoe underwent arthroscopic surgery on Jan. 10 after initially injuring his knee on Dec. 30. He recently began participating in five-on-five drills, and the team said that Bledsoe will be back in the lineup no later than next Wednesday when the Suns take on Cleveland. Bledsoe has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Thunder, but he could be back as soon as Sunday when Phoenix travels to Golden State. Monday's contest against the Clippers is also possibility, barring a setback, of course. Bledsoe has not reported any issues with the surgically repaired knee, though he acknowledged that his recent increase in activity has left his body somewhat sore. Coach Jeff Hornacek will likely reintegrate Bledsoe into the rotation slowly, at first, but he'll eventually regain his starting shooting guard spot, which should push Gerald Green back to the bench.
News: Dragic didn't practice Wednesday due to a left side strain but is listed as probable for Thursday's outing against the Thunder, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: In three games since missing one due to a twisted right ankle, Dragic has been balling, averaging 24.3 points (on 52.1 percent shooting), 7.3 assists, four boards, and two three-pointers in 37.7 minutes. Included in that stretch was a 40-point explosion against the Pelicans, which could be repeated Thursday in a game featuring two of the Top 10 teams in terms of pace.
News: Plumlee (knee) didn't practice Wednesday but is questionable for Thursday's contest against the Thunder, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: There was a will-he-or-won't-he leading into Tuesday's game against the Clippers, but ultimately, coach Jeff Hornacek exercised caution and held Plumlee to the pine. If Plumlee misses another tilt, expect Alex Len to get another nod in the starting five, though the Suns' deep rotation will keep the minutes of all frontcourt members in check.
News: Len started his first NBA game Tuesday against the Clippers, putting up six points (3-8 FG) and six rebounds in 19 minutes.
Impact: The Suns' typical starting center, Miles Plumlee, was given the day off in order to give his sprained right knee a break, handing Len his first starting nod. Len's rookie campaign has been exhibited by sporadic play and an ankle injury that kept him sidelined for more than a month, but if Plumlee returns for Thursday's tilt against the Thunder, Len's workload may be contained to the moments when their bruising rookie, Steven Adams, takes the court.
News: Barbosa will be sidelined 4-to-6 weeks due to the fractured left hand that he sustained Tuesday against the Clippers, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: Barbosa is slated to miss at least four weeks, but the Suns' own timeline equates to six weeks of recovery, which effectively would eliminate him for the remainder of the season. In his stead, the Suns will hand most of the reserve backcourt minutes to Ish Smith, but when Eric Bledsoe (knee) returns, that run will significantly diminish.
News: Barbosa (hand) will miss at least one month with a fracture in his hand, Sportando reports.
Impact: Barbosa sustained the injury in Tuesday's game and was unable to return to action. He's averaging 7.5 points and 1.9 rebounds per game this season, and hasn't been making a fantasy impact in most leagues. In light of this news, he can be left on the wire in virtually all leagues.
News: The Suns played Tuesday without center Miles Plumlee, who has a right knee sprain.
Impact: Plumlee's status is not known.
News: Tucker scored 18 points and grabbed 10 boards as the Suns fell to the Clippers, 104-96 on Tuesday night.
Impact: Tucker notched his eighth double-double.
News: Dragic had a poor fantasy effort as the Suns fell to the Clippers, 104-96 on Tuesday night.
Impact: Dragic had 14 points and nine assists.
News: Green scored 17 points (6-19 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT) to go with eight rebounds, five assists and three steals in 36 minutes in Tuesday's loss to the Clippers.
Impact: Ever since Eric Bledsoe (knee) went down, Green has been a strong fantasy play. In the month of March, Green's averages consist of 25.0 points, 4.5 three-pointers, 5.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.5 blocks. Bledsoe participated in a full scrimmage Monday, so Green's value may take a hit when he returns.
News: Tucker scored a team-high 18 points (8-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-5 FT) and grabbed 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 39 minutes Tuesday against the Clippers.
Impact: Tucker is averaging 9.2 points and 6.4 rebounds on the season, so Tuesday's line may be a bit misleading. While Tucker has good games from time to time, he simply doesn't do enough to warrant a roster spot in standard leagues.
News: Barbosa fractured his left hand on a drive to the basket in the first half of Tuesday's game and will not return, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: Barbosa could easily be sidelined for the rest of the season, if he did indeed break his hand. If you had him in a deep single-season league, it's probably safe to part ways at this point. Ish Smith and Archie Goodwin could figure to see some extra run off the bench in Barbosa's absence.
News: Len will get the start at center Tuesday, his first ever starting nod in the NBA, the Clippers' official site reports.
Impact: Miles Plumlee is out with a right knee sprain, and that should allow Len a slightly increased role. However, we still wouldn't expect the rookie to play true starter's minutes, as Phoenix has been careful with his playing time so far this season.
News: Plumlee (right knee sprain) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game, the Clippers' official site reports.
Impact: this conflicts an earlier report that stated that Plumlee was expected to play. Look for Shavlik Randolph and Alex Len to see some extra run, but the Suns will probably be best served rolling with a smaller lineup with the Morris twins and Channing Frye taking turns at the five. Consider Plumlee day-to-day.
News: Plumlee (knee) will play Tuesday against the Clippers, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: He has been playing through a sore right knee for about a week. Both Shavlik Randolph and Alex Len are also expected to see some time at center to allow Plumlee to see some extra rest, but in deeper leagues he should be deployed as usual.
News: Plumlee (knee) will be a game-time decision Tuesday against the Clippers, Arizona Sports reports.
Impact: Plumlee has been playing with a sore right knee for over a week according to coach Jeff Hornacek. Plumlee played a season-low 12 minutes Sunday and is averaging fewer than 20 minutes in his last five games. If he is unable to play, expect Marcus and Markieff Morris to get a lot of the minutes in the frontcourt.
News: Bledsoe (knee) was "a little sore" Tuesday, according to coach Jeff Hornacek, but he's OK and will play 5-on-5 again Wednesday, ArizonaSports.com reports.
Impact: Hornacek described the soreness as "training camp soreness," so it doesn't sound like anything out of the ordinary. Bledsoe felt no discomfort initially after going through 5-on-5 drills Monday, his second time going through such drills since undergoing knee surgery in January. A specific return date has not been established, but he was originally expected to miss four-to-six weeks.
News: Bledsoe (knee) experienced no discomfort once again during 5-on-5 drills at Monday's practice, the Suns' official site reports.
Impact: Bledsoe's activity level in practice is key to the guard establishing his conditioning and chemistry with teammates. No matter, it's difficult to gauge how he'll handle NBA action until he's eventually cleared to play in a game, which is drawing closer but hasn't been determined. Meanwhile, the Suns will continue to send out a backcourt of Goran Dragic and Gerald Green on a nightly basis.
News: Plumlee averaged 5.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game over the course of February, while playing on average, 22 minutes per game.
Impact: Plumlee is the Suns' starting center and will continue to fill that role for Phoenix. On the season, he is averaging 8.6 points and 8.3 rebounds while shooting 49.8 percent from the field.
News: Bledsoe (knee) will attempt to increase his activity level during Monday's 5-on-5 work at practice, the Arizona Republic reports. Coach Jeff Hornacek said, "I've tried to talk to Eric about saying you've got to just push through being tired because that's the only way you're going to get in better shape."
Impact: The development would mark the second time Bledsoe partakes in 5-on-5 drills, and the lack of any setback to date bodes well for an imminent return to the court. However, an exact date has yet to be determined, leaving Goran Dragic and Gerald Green to compose the Suns' starting backcourt in the meantime.
Mon. Mar 3, 2014 | STATS
News: Morris scored 21 points in a 129-120 win over Atlanta on Sunday night.
Impact: The Phoenix Suns forward has topped 20 points in four of his last six games and boosted his season scoring average to 13.3.
Mon. Mar 3, 2014 | STATS
News: Green had 33 points in a 129-120 win over Atlanta on Sunday night.
Impact: The Phoenix guard made five 3-pointers while finishing four points shy of a career-best scoring performance and helping the Suns score 79 points in the first half against the Hawks. Green, averaging 15.1 points this season, had 36 in an overtime win in Denver on Feb. 18.
Mar 2, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Green scored 33 points (9-14 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 10-10 FT) and pulled down three rebounds in 30 minutes of action during Sunday's victory over the Hawks.
Impact: Green has been a stud for the Suns since the All-Star Break, shouldering a great deal of the scoring load over that time. During the eight-game stretch, the 28-year-old swingman has averaged 21.3 points, 4.5 boards and 2.3 treys. However, with the impending return of Eric Bledsoe (knee), it seems very likely that Green's production will take a hit fairly soon.
Mar 2, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Bledsoe (knee) participated in 5-on-5 scrimmages in Saturday's practice, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: Bledsoe has been progressing well, and this is yet another good sign for owners. It's very possible that he could return to action as soon as later this week.
Shavlik Randolph - #43 - Power Forward - 6'10" - 236lbs
Sat. Mar 1, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Randolph has signed with the Suns, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: Randolph had been playing in China but will now fill an end-of-the bench role for the Suns, and thus, has little value.
Sat. Mar 1, 2014 | STATS
News: Dragic scored 40 points, his second career high in three games, and the Phoenix Suns pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat the New Orleans Pelicans 116-104 Friday night, snapping a three-game losing streak.
Impact: Dragic was a game-time decision because of a sore right ankle that had kept him out of Wednesday's loss at Utah, but played all but the last 10 seconds of the second half in the first 40-point game for a Phoenix player since Amare Stoudemire's 44 on March 19, 2010. He also added five assists.
News: Dragic scored 40 points (14-21 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 9-11 FT) in 42 minutes to lead the Suns over the Pelicans on Friday night.
Impact: Dragic dominated the game Friday night, leading the Suns to a much needed win. He's has had an excellent season, but has been slightly inconsistent since the All Star break - he has twice scored 35 points or more, and has three games scoring 17 points or fewer. Nonetheless, he remains an automatic starter in almost every format.
News: Barbosa (toe) is active and available to play off the bench Friday, the Suns' official site reports.
Impact: Barbosa sat out the Suns' last four games with a sprained toe. His return shouldn't have much impact except in deep leagues.
News: Smith will move back to a bench role Friday with Goran Dragic (ankle) back in the starting lineup.
Impact: mith scored 13 points (5-15 FG, 3-4 FT) and had eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 36 minutes against Utah on Wednesday night. He played well in his spot start, but the only thing to take from that is an expectation of possible production if he ever gets a similar opportunity in the future.
News: Dragic (ankle) will play Friday, the Suns' official site reports.
Impact: Dragic sat out the Suns' last game and was questionable coming into Friday's contest. He'll give it a go, and Ish Smith will move back to a bench role as a result.
News: Bledsoe (knee) may be cleared for 5-on-5 drills ahead of Saturday's practice, the Suns' official website reports.
Impact: Bledsoe began 3-on-3 work earlier this week and has not reported any setbacks since, so the point guard could ramp up his activity level to include live scrimmaging come Saturday. When that happens, Bledsoe will likely need a few practices before he returns to game action, which could come to fruition some time next week. Sidelined since the beginning of 2014, Bledsoe should be picked up in any fantasy league he may still be available in.
News: Barbosa (toe) is listed as a game-time decision for Friday's game against the Pelicans, the Suns' official website reports.
Impact: Barbosa is reportedly closer to probable than questionable for Friday's game. If he's indeed cleared to play, Barbosa should see minutes off the Suns' bench, especially if teammate Goran Dragic (ankle) is unable to play and Phoenix needs extra ball-handlers.
News: Dragic (ankle) did not participate in Friday morning's shootaround, but is still considered a game-time decision to play against New Orleans, the Suns' team website reports.
Impact: Dragic sat out Wednesday's contest after twisting his right ankle Tuesday versus Minnesota. The point guard will test his ankle during pre-game warmups Friday, at which time a decision on his playing status will be made. If he's unable to go, which seems likely, expect Ish Smith to command Phoenix's offense.
Archie Goodwin - #20 - Shooting Guard - 6'5" - 186lbs
News: Goodwin matched a career-high with 16 points (6-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-7 FT) to go along with seven rebounds, two steals and one block in 27 minutes against Utah on Wednesday night.
Impact: Goodwin was the beneficiary of the injuries to both Eric Bledsoe and in the case of Wednesday, Goran Dragic. Both should be back soon and Goodwin will be back to a much smaller role off the bench. He is not an option at this time.
News: Smith scored 13 points (5-15 FG, 3-4 FT) and had eight rebounds, five assists and two steals in 36 minutes against Utah on Wednesday night.
Impact: Already without Eric Bledsoe, the Suns were also without Goran Dragic on Wednesday, opening up a starting spot (and plenty of minutes) for Smith. He struggled for the most part, posting a -24 and shooting a woeful 33 percent. But he filled the stat sheet quite well for a guy on an obviously low salary in daily leagues. If Dragic continues to miss time, Smith could be considered the king of bargains. But that doesn't appear likely and Bledsoe should be back any day soon, too.
Viacheslav Kravtsov - #55 - Center - 6'11" - 243lbs
News: Kravtsov has been waived.
Impact: Kravtsov was sidelined by a sprained right ankle and had totaled 20 points in 20 games.
News: Barbosa ended a five-game absence in Sunday's 129-120 win over Atlanta.
Impact: The Phoenix Suns guard had been recovering from a sprained toe.
News: Dragic decided to play when the Suns met the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night.
Impact: Dragic sprained his ankle in the Suns' loss to Houston on Sunday night. He sat out Tuesday night's 109-86 loss at Utah, Phoenix's most one-sided loss of the season.
News: Smith will get the start in place of Goran Dragic (ankle) on Wednesday against the Jazz, Jazz radio voice David Locke reports.
Impact: With Dragic sidelined after twisting his ankle Tuesday, Smith will step in and make his first start of the season. The point guard should see significant minutes, though he'll undoubtedly return to the bench upon Dragic's return. In the month of February, Smith is averaging 5.8 points and 2.9 assists in 17.6 minutes per game.
News: Dragic (ankle) will not play Wednesday against the Jazz, the Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Impact: Dragic twisted his right ankle in the third quarter of Tuesday's loss to the Timberwolves and was originally dubbed a game-time call for Wednesday's game. However, he'll take a seat while Ish Smith assumes starting point guard duties. Consider Dragic probable for Friday's game against the Pelicans. In the month of February, Dragic is averaging 21.8 points and 6.3 assists while shooting 54.3 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from beyond the arc.
News: Barbosa (sprained toe) will miss Wednesday'a game against the Jazz, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: This will be the fourth consecutive game that Barbosa has missed, with the last three absences due to the injured toe. In an already depleted Suns' backcourt, Ish Smith and Archie Goodwin will see more time with Barbosa, Eric Bledsoe, and Goran Dragic all out on Wednesday.
News: Dragic is a game-time decision but is likely out for Wednesday's game against the Jazz, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: Dragic twisted his ankle in Tuesday's game but was healthy enough to finish the game. However, he'll miss Wednesday's game and with Eric Bledsoe and Leandro Barbosa already out, expect Archie Goodwin and Ish Smith to see more time in the Suns' backcourt.
Tue. Feb 25, 2014 | STATS
News: Morris had 24 points in Tuesday's 110-101 loss to Minnesota.
Impact: Morris is averaging 22.0 points over the last three games, significantly higher than his season mark of 13.1.
News: Tucker was cold from the field Tuesday as he scored only six points (2-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), but he grabbed a career-best 16 rebounds and also got a steal and two blocks in 38 minutes of action against the Wolves.
Impact: Tucker is now averaging 10.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals over his last five games, but his 8.4 points, 0.2 three-pointers, 2.2 assists and 0.4 blocks make him tough to own. He has value in deep leagues, but most standard league managers can probably find better options elsewhere.
News: Morris came off the bench and scored a team-high 24 points (9-20 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-8 FT) to go with three rebounds, two assists and a steal in 33 minutes Tuesday against the Wolves.
Impact: Morris is starting to pick it up again. In his last five games, he's averaging 19.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.8 steals and 0.8 blocks on 54.7 percent shooting from the field in 32.8 minutes. Morris tends to go on hot and cold streaks, and like most bench players, his role will depend on matchups.
News: Dragic twisted his right ankle in the third quarter, but returned to finish with 16 points (7-13 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, three assists and two blocks before fouling out in 25 minutes Tuesday in a loss to the Wolves.
Impact: The fact that he returned and played is encouraging, but ankle sprains tend to swell up the next day, so owners will have to wait until Wednesday to check on his status.
News: Dragic left Tuesday's game with a right ankle injury, but after having the ankle re-taped in the training room, he is available to return, the Arizona Republic reports. He had 12 points and three assists in 20 minutes before leaving with the injury.
Impact: It's a good sign that he's available to return, but Dragic's owners will want to check on his status Wednesday, as ankle sprains have a tendency to swell up the next day.
News: Bledsoe did not have any issues with his surgically repaired knee after participating in 3-on-3 drills Monday, so he'll continue to participate in 3-on-3 activities, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: All of the recent reports around Bledsoe have been positive. If he's available on your league's waiver wire, now would be the time to grab him, because a return seems to be in the cards at some time in the next week to 10 days.
News: Barbosa (sprained toe) is not expected to play Tuesday, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: Barbosa has missed the Suns' last two games with the injury, and as long as he is out, Ish Smith and Archie Goodwin should see increased minutes as the backup point guards.
Mon. Feb 24, 2014 | RotoWire
News: Bledsoe (knee) played 3-on-3 at Monday's practice, marking his first activity beyond individual drills, the Arizona Republic reports.
Impact: Bledsoe's return to the court was expected to occur 3-to-4 days after making his first appearance in actual practice, which seems to have happened Monday. The Suns have a back-to-back set on the docket Tuesday and Wednesday, with their next contest Friday versus the Pelicans. If 3-on-3 work is in fact the desired step before a return is considered, he could very well be back in action Friday. In the meantime, though, Gerald Green will continue to hold down the fort at two-guard.
News: Dragic had eight points and five assists in Friday's win over the Spurs.
Impact: Dragic recently said that he wants to be an All-Star but his fantasy owners may want their money back after this pitiful effort.
Marcus Morris - #15 - Power Forward - 6'9" - 228lbs
News: Morris scored 13 in Friday's win over the Spurs.
