Scouting Report

Dent had a breakout season as a senior, posting career highs with 66 tackles, 60 assists and 2 1/2 sacks while making 6 1/2 tackles for loss. He was named second-team All-SEC and was the Bulldogs' defensive captain. While Georgia went 6-7, that could hardly be blamed on Dent, one of the team's most consistent players on defense. Already very adept against the run, he showed improvement in his last few games against the pass. Dent played in the East-West Shrine Game and his performance there will likely boost his draft stock, as he showed impressive strength and made some big tackles. He has good instincts and skills but is very raw and will need work on his technique. He may need to add bulk if he wants to become an every down player. Dent may prove to be a bit of a project and his shortcomings against the pass may limit his appeal, but his relentless style and ability to stop the run could lead to him being taken in the later rounds.
