Kheeston Randall, DT
- Height: 6-foot-5
- Weight: 295 pounds
- School: Texas
Although he doesn't possess great speed or pass-rushing skills and rarely comes up with game-changing plays, Randall may find several teams willing to take a chance on him in the draft. Randall does one thing really well and that's take on multiple blockers to give linebackers and ends a chance to make tackles. He is one of the bigger tackles in the draft class, and with a strong upper body and good hands, he was tough for offensive linemen to move around during his time at Texas. He finished his collegiate career appearing in 47 games - including 35 starts - and had 98 tackles with 21 for loss. His impact on the field, however, wasn't measured in stats, as his job was primarily to create havoc on the line of scrimmage. While Randall displayed a quick first step off the snap with the Longhorns, he has little speed to speak of. He ran the 40-yard dash in 5.00 seconds at the scouting combine and isn't going to chase down any running backs sweeping around the outside. The 2011 All-Big 12 second-team selection also isn't going to get many sacks, which is somewhat of a concern. Randall had only four sacks at Texas and struggled mightily to rush the quarterback, even being replaced sometimes on passing downs. Despite being a one-dimensional defensive lineman, Randall has the size and strength to impress pro teams and he is expected to be a mid-round selection.
