Brad Nortman, P
- Height: 6-foot-3
- Weight: 211 pounds
- School: Wisconsin
Nortman averaged 42.1 yards on punts in four seasons at Wisconsin, with his consistent yearly averages ranging from 41.8 to 42.7 as the team's only punter since his freshman season. His strong leg also allowed him to kick the ball well beyond that range, as he recorded five punts of 60 or more yards in college - including 76- and 74-yard efforts. Along with his ability to get distance on his kicks, he is accurate and often places punts inside the 20-yard line, doing it 14 times in 38 kicks in 2010 while also forcing 12 fair catches. An honorable mention all-Big Ten selection in 2011, Nortman was invited to play in the Senior Bowl and took part in the NFL combine. He closed out his career with two punts for 89 yards, including a 59-yarder, in Wisconsin's 45-38 loss to Oregon in the Rose Bowl. Though his powerful leg causes the ball to get away from him from time to time, leading to shanks, his overall consistency shows this to be an uncommon occurrence. While NFL teams rarely use high picks on punters, Nortman is considered a strong prospect and seems likely to be taken in the later rounds. He could be given a shot to take over as a club's primary punter right away.
