Eric Fisher, OL
- Height: 6-foot-8
- Weight: 305 pounds
- School: Central Michigan
After having just two college offers coming out of high school - Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan - Fisher is likely near the top of many NFL teams' draft boards as one of the best tackles available along with Texas A&M's Luke Joeckel. Drawing comparisons to Joe Staley, the first-round pick out of Central Michigan in 2007, Fisher is a much different player than the one who arrived on campus, as he's added 70 pounds during his four seasons. The Rochester Hills, Mich., native helped the program win two bowl games, and he was part of the 2012 unit that yielded just 14 sacks all season. Fisher, a first-team All-MAC and third-team AP All-American, helped answer some questions about his ability to face stiffer competition during the Senior Bowl, where he was graded as the top prospect. Fisher also had an impressive showing at the NFL combine, ranking among the best at his position in the broad jump (116 inches) and 20-yard shuttle (4.44 seconds). Fisher needs to add strength, but he can take contact and provide a strong anchor to the quarterback's blind side. His athleticism, agility and quickness off the snap may set him apart from the other tackles available in this draft. Fisher credits his high school basketball experience with having such great balance and footwork. Fisher, a mechanical engineering major, also played right tackle and right guard during his time with the Chippewas.
