Chance Warmack, OL
- Height: 6-foot-3
- Weight: 320 pounds
- School: Alabama
Alabama running backs have gathered much acclaim over the last few seasons between the likes of Mark Ingram, Trent Richardson and Eddie Lacy, but their work would have likely been more difficult without Warmack clearing running lanes for them. Warmack is an elite talent who saw playing time as a true freshman in five games on the Crimson Tide's offensive line before becoming a regular starter. He is a formidable mixture of strength and athleticism for his size, and is very fundamentally sound, allowing him to harness that talent. Warmack often blows back defenders with his strong initial contact and has good arm extension to keep them away. He isn't as quick as other interior linemen in this class but still moves well enough to execute trap and pull schemes. Warmack sometimes loses his leverage with too straight of posture and will occasionally miss his target in open-field situations. Warmack doesn't possess great speed - as evidenced by his 5.49 40 time at the combine - so recovering can be an issue if defenders beat him on the initial rush. Still, he was a dominant blocker throughout his career and will likely end up starting his first NFL game. Warmack would likely be considered a steal if taken anywhere later than the first 10 selections.
