The defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers did not disappoint in their season-opener against the New Orleans Saints. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers put on a show — and dropped hints of his season to come — lighting up the Saints with 312 yards passing and three touchdowns. Despite the Aaron Rodgers Show taking flight, it was the Packers defense that preserved the win with a goal line stand.

The Packers’ second game pitted them against impressive rookie Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. Newton stepped to the defending champs without fear, throwing for 432 yards and keeping his team in the game. But Green Bay’s secondary took advantage of some of Newton’s rookie mistakes — to the tune of three interceptions, which helped seal the deal and give the Packers a win.

This matchup marked the first time these teams faced off since the Packers claimed the NFC title over the Chicago Bears on their way to a Super Bowl championship last year. Packers tight end Jermichael Finley caught seven passes for 85 yards and three touchdowns.

The Packers gave the Denver Broncos a good shellacking. Aaron Rodgers rushed for two touchdowns and threw for two more on the way to a 49-23 win.

Green Bay went through a bit of adversity against Atlanta. The Packers trailed the Falcons 14-6 at the half, but Rodgers and the juggernaut offense picked it up after halftime, scoring 19 points while shutting out Matt Ryan and the Falcons in the second half.

Both the Packers and the St. Louis Rams did all of their scoring in the first half of this game though the Packers did considerably more of it — 24 points to the Rams' 3. This game continued the undefeated streak for the Packers (6-0) and the winless streak for the Rams (0-5).

The juggernaut Packers seemed to be rolling again against the Minnesota Vikings, putting up 20 unanswered points in the third quarter. But in his first game as starter, rookie quarterback Christian Ponder brought the Vikings within six points.

If the Vikings showed promise in the season’s first meeting against the Packers, they showed little of it in the rematch. The Packers poured it on at Lambeau Field against the Vikings, holding them scoreless until the third quarter when the Vikings finally got on the board after trailing by as many as 23. The Packers took care of business the rest of the game and blew the Vikings out.

The game between the Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers was closer than the Packers might have liked. In the end, the Packers bested the Bucs in a competitive contest to move to 10-0 and remain undefeated.

The Week 12 meeting will be remembered not as much for the final score as for the in-game actions of Lions player Ndamukong Suh. After a break in the action, Suh stomped the arm of Packers player Evan Deitrich-Smith — an act that earned the defensive star a two-game suspension. Not to be forgotten in this, the Packers emerged from the Thanksgiving matchup with their perfect record intact.

Any thought of a Packers loss when the Oakland Raiders came to town was brushed aside by halftime. A myriad of Packers players got in on the scoring action — Jordy Nelson and Ryan Taylor both scored touchdowns, Ryan Grant rushed for two TDs and Mason Crosby sent three field goals through the uprights.

Haters were waiting for the Packers to hiccup … and they did against the Chiefs in Week 15. The Chiefs held the potent Packers offense scoreless in the first half and pulled out a win, sending the previously undefeated Pack to 13-1.

The Packers got right back on the horse against the Chicago Bears after a disappointing loss to Kansas City. The Bears closed to within four points, 14-10, early in the third quarter but Rodgers put the game out of reach pretty quickly by throwing for three more touchdowns.

The second meeting between the Packers and the Lions didn’t hold quite the same cache. Aaron Rodgers, Charles Woodson and Clay Matthews were not playing this game for the Packers. Despite the personnel shifts, the Packers still triumphed to end the season with a 15-1 record.

The Packers met up with the San Diego Chargers and the two teams exemplified the difference between a team humming along quite nicely and a team struggling. The undefeated Packers sat at 7-0 coming off a bye while the Chargers sat at 3-4, the losers of three straight games. The news didn’t get any better for the Chargers as the Packers came into Qualcomm Stadium and beat the struggling home team.

When the red hot Packers took on the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium both teams  faced the pressure of external expectations. The Giants were a team on the edge, coming off three straight losses and trying to turn their season around. The Packers were looking at the possibility of an undefeated season. Both teams punched each other in the mouth but the Packers came out on top.
